ALL STUDENTS were forced to stay at highschool due to the growing storm outside. Lydia was examined by the school nurse and Dallas was forced to leave her in the hands of the school - even though they had no idea what they were dealing with.ย

She paced around the hall until her attention was grabbed by Allison Argent, Isaac Lahey stood beside her. "Hey," the brunette pulled her aside. "How's Lydia?"ย

The Latina inhaled sharply. "Not good." she swallowed, ignoring the odd feeling that washed over her from the vicious storm that raged outside. "She's bruising around her neck. They want to take her to a hospital downtown because ours is being evacuated." Dallas wrapped her hands around herself. Before another word was spoken, Chris Argent interrupted their conversation.ย

"Allison, I'm taking you home." his eyes then flickered to the Garcia. "Dallas, where's your father?"

"I - uh, I don't know." the brunette seemed rather distracted, struggling to stay focused. "He's not picking up." She breathed heavily and ran her hand over the scales that were spreading sporadically over her skin. "I haven't seen him since this morning."

Chris ran a hand through his hair and let out a gruff sigh to the trio, who all seemed equally freaked out by both the storm and the situation with Miss Blake. "You know what, screw it, I'm taking all of you home."

Dallas shook her head along with Isaac. The raindrops and lightning became so loud that they had to shout over one another. "No, I need to stay here with Lydia."ย

The werewolf nodded along. "- And I need to get to the hospital." the boy excused, already halfway down the hall. Chris turned to his daughter and eventually gave in. Allison followed Isaac in pursuit, suddenly becoming somewhat protective over him.ย

"Isaac." he called out to the Lahey. He spun around, awaiting an answer from the Argent and shared a look with his daughter. "I'll drive."ย

Dallie glid through the school hallways. The bright lights suddenly became doused with darkness as the power throughout the whole town shut off. The storm raged on outside with tree branches being thrown against the brittle windows and brickwork. None of it bothered Dallas, though, as she felt at peace during the storm. She hummed silently to herself as she found herself all alone in the corridor. The Siren could hear the heavy pattering of the rain and felt the shuddering thunder in her bones.ย

"Hey, Dallas." She heard the familiar voice of Louis Morelli behind her, taunting her with every call. "Where's your little guard dog?"

His voice was spiteful and accusing, which made Dallie grasp her forehead. She could hear the overwhelming terrorising thoughts enter her head. "Go away." she spoke through gritted teeth. Dallas pushed her feet against the floor and avoided the thundering steps of Louis behind her.ย

"So, I'm the bad guy now, right?" he spat and watched as she pushed against the heavy exit doors and into the blistering storm outside. The wind was harsh on her skin and the howling loud in her ears. Above it all, she could still hear the persistent yelling of the man behind her.ย

"What are you doing, are you crazy?" Louis hissed shielding himself from the rain with his sleeves while it washed over the two of them. The crescent moon peeked from behind the stormy clouds and lightning struck around them.ย

In the heart of the storm, Dallas Garcia stood with both hands struck by her side and eyes gazed up at the moon that was directly above. "Fuck off, Morelli."

Her eyes became beacons of starlight and skin soft seashell, the shore of her consciousness slowly slipping away and instead diving into the deep oceans of its trance. When she turned to face him, her eyes held enchanting terror.

Saltwater secrets were buried deep within each drop of rain that fell onto her skin. She was so infatuated with the cosmic stars and her petrifying hunger, however, that she didn't pay much attention to the cyan blue jeep that pulled up at the front of the school. Moments ago, Peter Hale had scolded Stiles Stilinski about leaving Dallas all alone at the school - especially during such a treacherous storm.

"Why are you all here?" Peter hissed to the young boy, who held up his bat as they prepared for Ethan and Aiden's attack. "Is anybody watching her?"

Scott McCall shared a knowing look with Derek Hale, watching as he spoke up. "As long as we keep her away from water, she'll be fine, right?"

Peter scoffed at their naivety and continued fiddling through the drawers for anything they could defend themselves with. "You guys are hopeless."ย He swallowed harshly. "I'd be surprised if she hasn't already eaten someone yet."

"Dallie?" He ran through the shadowy halls of Beacon Hills High, the pounding of his broken heart echoing in his ears. He stopped in his tracks as he heard the whistling of harsh wind down the hall, followed by the persistent slamming of the open exit doors.ย

Outside, the storm began to worsen. Dallas grasped the collar of Louis' shirt and pulled him closer to her lips which held a wicken grin. "I'm starving." she hissed under her breath as his eyes bore into hers.ย

"I.. I'll take you to the vending machine." her hands were cold against his neck but her breath warm. The innocent giggle that left her glossy lips caused him to fall even deeper into her spellbinding abyss.ย

"Oh, no." she traced her finger down his throat and chest, the tip of her nail tearing slightly tearing at his skin and shirt. "I need something more.. filling. Something with a little edge."

"Dallas?" Stiles called once more, his voice circulating through the empty hallways and classrooms. "Is anybody here?" he raced down the halls that were soaked with rainwater and muddy footsteps.ย

"Do you really think I'm insecure?" She gripped his face with her long nails. "And that you, of all people, could really be my hero?" she let out a harsh scoff as the thunder pounded loud in the sky and the rain poured down heavily. "I eat boys like you for breakfast."

Stiles approached the exit doors, which were doused with so much rainwater that the paint had started to peel. The hairs on his arms stood up as he stepped outside, each step as light as the last.ย

"Dallie?" He swallowed hard, watching as she turned her head to him. He could see the white undertones in her honey-brown eyes. Yet, they remained comforting and warm. Her skin shone in the moonlight and he stood silent for a moment, simply admiring her. That was, until Louis bitter voice shook him from his thoughts.

"Stiles Stilinski." Louis scoffed, pushing past Dallas and puffing out his chest. "God, she really does have you all whipped, doesn't she?" he glanced to the latin who narrowed her eyes. "If only you knew what she was really like."

The girl seethed silently. She couldnt control any of the things that would leave his mouth next. If he decided to spill her feelings about a certain Stilinski right then and there - she couldn't do anything to stop it. "Shut up, Louis."

"Come on, Dallie." Stiles spoke through gritted teeth, burning holes into Louis' head with his bitter stare.ย

She scoffed. He was in no place to tell her what to do - and neither was Louis. To be quite honest, they could both leave her well alone. "What? No." she deadpanned. "What are you doing here, anyway?"

Raindrops coated his face and slid down his tannish skin. "I was worried about you."

"Careful, she might get attached." The Morelli stepped closer to Stiles who slowly began filled with rage. "Between you and me, she's one of the insecure ones. A real jungle of issues, you might wanna sit this one out."ย

Dallas scoffed harshly, running a hand through her now drenched hair and running one up her arm that became littered with goosebumps.ย

The Stilinski remained silent for a few moments, a sour look directed to Louis. Within a few moments, he pulled his fist back and collided it with Louis' face, beating him to the wet floor.

"Fuck!" Louis cried out, pinching his nose as blood trickled out of his nostril and dropped onto the muddy gravel. "I think you broke my nose!"

The Human narrowed his eyes into slits. "Should've kept it out of other people's business, then." He snapped while the Garcia felt him gently pull at her hand, leading her into the carpark nearby and away from the wailing of the Morelli.

The whistling of the wind and the harsh thundering of the heavy rain made it hard to hear, but even so, she didn't hear any of his thoughts. Perhaps he was blocking her out - or maybe he was her exception.

She tugged her hand out of his and gave him a crazed look. "What the hell are you doing?"

Stiles avoided her look and noticed the short cardigan and tank top she wore. "You're gonna catch a cold." He shrugged the jacket he wore from his shoulders and slung it over his hand. "Here, take my jacket."

"I don't care about the weather, Stiles." Dallas scoffed harshly, pushing his hand away. "How are you gonna explain this to your dad when he presses charges?"

"I don't care." Stiles finally lay his eyes on hers and dropped both hands to his side. "He doesn't talk about you like that. No one does."

Dallas felt the rain soak into her hair and drip down her forehead, coating her long lashes. "I've had my fair share of shitty guys." she turned away from him. "I'm used to it. You don't have to pretend to care."

Stiles clenched his jaw and stared up at her. "Is that what you think?" Stiles had finally snapped. She deserved better than that - than him. "You know, Dallie, when you died, I lost my goddamn mind. I thought I'd never see you again." he spoke gently. "I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, all I could think about was how you were gone from my life forever." he spoke loudly over the pattering rain.

The boy shook his head in dismay as the words practically clawed up his throat and spilled out. "It made me realise how much you actually mean to me and how often you fail to see it. I tried my best to forget you, that to convince was just some petty crush that Heather or Lacrosse would solve, but I can't.. and you deserve the truth."

Dallas couldn't say a word - not even if she wanted to. Her throat was dry and gut aching with suspense and anxiety, wondering what would leave his mouth next.

"Dallas, I've been in love with you since I was 10 years old." He stare up at her, rain soaking into his jacket and causing the hair to stick to his forehead. "The first night you came into the police station, your hair in lopsided pigtails with that bright unicorn backpack, I remember thinking that you were the prettiest girl I had ever seen." he noticed how she remained silent and sighed heavily. "I care about you more than anything else in the world." he dropped his head to the floor. "Even when you can't see it."ย

He turned to leave, but she took a step forward and pulled gently at his wrist forcing him to take a look back at her. Cupping her hands around his face, she placed her lips on his. His touch was warm and his heartbeat erratic. Still, one hand dropped to her waist and pulled her closer while another rested on her jaw.

It didn't matter what Louis thought, or Lydia, or even her mother. She had built up such thick walls that she could no longer see past them, brushing away the dreamy gaze of affection or the simple gestures of care and fearing the worst instead.ย

With one of Beacon Hills' worst storms erupting around them,ย  Louis Morelli clutching his broken nose and the array of scales that were hidden underneath Dallie's shirt - the two had finally made their way to each other. Yet, as naively lovesick as the two were, their problems had only just begun.
