NO MATTER WHAT DALLAS DID, SHE COULDN'T SEEM TO AVOID SYBIL.

It wasn't too bad, however, since her boyfriend and her friends had made it their mission to find the rest of the list - without her. They didn't want her to get involved - more specifically - because Derek Hale told them not to.

He was just as overbearing and parental. Even though she hadn't spoke to him or her actual father in a while, they made it their personal mission to dictate and monitor her every move.

But even now when Dallas flicked through her textbook in the public library and awaited a text from any of them, she glanced up at the Siren who dropped a thick book onto her desk with a loud thud.

Dallas dropped her eyes to the cover. 'Algebra 1'.

"Aren't you a little old for that?" She hummed while tearing her eyes back to her own book. The older Siren held a knowing glint in her eye as she examined the lonely teenager.

"I'm alot older than I look." The siren winked before leaning forward. "But I'm guessing you already know my secret."

The Garcia remained unphased and crossed her arms in a distasteful fashion. "What do you want?"

"Ouch, teenage ansgt much?" Sybil winced fauxly before softening her eyebrows. "I told you, I want to spend time with you. You're rarely not ever with those friends and.. boyfriend of yours." she soured at the end. "I wouldn't let my lunch sit for that long but you know, whatever works for you."

Her eyes snapped up. "I'm not eating Stiles."

Sybil's shoulders dropped. "Oh." she cocked her head to the side. "Good choice. Wouldn't want to waste the cute face on that one."

Dallas rolled her eyes and slouched in her seat. Her aunt noticed this before resting her arms on the textbook and laying her hand on her chin. "Why are you here alone?"

"I'm not allowed to get involved." the younger Siren scowled. "They still haven't found my-... Marilyn. So, my dad's got a freak on that somebody's after me next."

Sybil nodded her head along. "Well, I haven't seen her either." she frowned. "If they're so worried about you.. why'd they leave you here all by yourself?"

"Cause I really look like the type of girl who needs a babysitter, right?" She mumbled. "I could probably make a guy's head explode If I wanted to."

That caused Sybil to raise a brow. "Have you tried?"

Dallas was taken aback. While her tone was playful and sarcastic, Sybil grew serious and gruesomely curious. "What?"

"You can mind control literally anyone and yet they're the ones telling you what to do?"

The Garcia avoided her look. "I don't do that." she swallowed harshly. The thought of people only doing things for her - liking her - loving her - because she told them to made her feel queasy. "I don't take away anyone's free will."

Sybil pursed her lips and lay back in her chair as one of Dallie's teachers came in. His shirt was ruffled and he had a dazed look in his eyes. He stumbled towards her with papers in hand and an almost robotic look stretched across his face.

"Miss Garcia," he nodded while dropping one of the papers on her desk and not bothering to take a glance at the other Siren. "Nice work."

The Teenager furrowed her eyebrows at the test - the test she hadn't even taken yet. A singular red 'A' was plastered at the top with a plus acessoriscing its side. "Mr Matthews, this test isn't due for a month-" she attempted to mumble out but he ignored her pestering and spoke over her.

"You passed. Congratulations."

She flickered her eyes to Sybil who smiled warmly up at the man. "Thanks, Jordan, you're dismissed." she shooed him away with the waft of her hand. "It's amazing what happens when you just put the idea in their head."

"I don't cheat." Dallas awaited for him to leave and pushed the paper back to her.

"Dallas, you've been dealt the earth's greatest cards and you never use them." Sybil coaxed her in. "You have humans putting numbers on your head, werewolvs telling you what to do, hell, A little human man dictates your whole life." The Siren, as scary as it seemed, was starting to make a lot of sense. "The worst type of leash is the one you can't see."

Dallas took a look back down at the paper and chewed on her lip. It wasn't technically cheating, right? After all, she knew she'd pass. It only saved her the time and effort anyways. She'd never use it to change feelings, but maybe, just maybe, she could use it to change circumstance.

And if it wasn't meant to be used to her advantage, why were they there? And if her friends could do it too, wouldn't they indulge themselves also?

"I told you, I'm not here to tell you what to do. Its the opposite, actually." the woman tapped her finger against the wood and hummed a whimsical tune - the same one that had been stuck in Dallie's head since forever. "What do you wanna do?"

Staring down at her paleish hands with her sunken eyes, Dallas found herself at a tipping point.

"Got anymore B-Positive?"

Sybil's parted lips parted and formed into a winning smile. And just like that, she had won her over.

James Garcia paced back and forth in his living room while Derek Hale watched aimlessly. "Stop doing that." he hissed. "You're giving me a headache."

Jim dropped his hands to his sides. "Oh, I'm familiar with those.. courtesy of you." he ran a hand over his stubble and adjusted his tie. "I'm worried, okay? I'm allowed to be."

The werewolf knitted his eyebrows. "They'd be rubbing it in our faces if Marilyn was dead." he reminded the lawyer. "You know how Kate was about it."

As James stood on the tiling of his kitchen and rested against the kitchen counter, he fiddled with his wedding ring that sat on his reddened finger. "I'm not worried about Marilyn." he paused. "It's just what she said a few weeks back. Ah, its probably nothing."

Curiousity plagued the lycan's face as he stepped forward. "Nothing Marilyn does is ever nothing." he thought back to each thing she said was a clue somehow.

"She mentioned her sisters." He glanced back down once he saw the furrowed look of the wolf. "She had two. These adoptive ones from really long ago. She's never mentioned them - ever.. but, she did name one of them and it's the only time I've seen her genuinely scared."

"What was the name?"

"She mentioned a Sybil." James paused. "Her and Dallas arent the only Sirens, Derek." he glanced out the window and swallowed harshly. "And I doubt they're the only ones here."

Marilyn glared up at the two vampires who avoided her look. They held cards in their hands and seemed to be playing some kind of game. "Go fish," Damon muttered while Enzo hissed underneath his breath.

"What does she even have over you?" Marie muttered lowly, but again, she received no answer. It wasn't until thrashing and splotches of water echoed through the facility did they look up.

"Damon, go check what that was." Enzo pointed into the direction of the noise. The vampire did as told and sped out of view leaving the St. John to wander towards her cage.

"You're making this too difficult. If you just do what she says then-" he stopped himself. "You're lucky she's keeping you alive. I doubt she has the same plans for me."

He held the fork in his hands and stared down at her with moral conflict. "Damon?" he called out as his eyes remained trained on her. When no response came, he lifted the fork to thrash it against the metal but as Marilyn cupped her ears and squeezed her eyes shut to ready herself for the pain - all remained was silence.

Instead, a silent thud came next and Enzo's body dropped to the front of her cell.

Her eyes clawed their way up to the figure standing over him. The fork slid from his limp hands and when the Siren's eyes finally reached their face, did she see the frown they wore.

"When I said I wanted you back, I never meant like this."

Marilyn cralwed backwards and a scowl formed on her thin lips. It was her sister. The first of the two. Seline. "I'm sure you didn't."

"I hate to say it, but I've lost control of my sister."

Sybil ran her hand against the rim of her cup as she watched Dallas frown idly at the absence of messages on her phone. "You know, I don't think they need you here."

"What are you talking about?" Dallas quirked a brow. "Of course they do. They're just.. protective."

"If they were protective, they wouldn't leave you alone, not behind." Sybil pursed her lips and glanced out to the water as both girls sat on the docks.

"Okay, you have no idea what you're talking about-" The girl tried to sit up but Sybil grabbed her wrist with a little too much force.

She released her grip and winced. "I'm sorry.. I forget how strong I can be." she dropped her hand to her lap. "I need you, you know? I need family and those werewolves? That pack? They're not your family, Dallas."

Dallas avoided her look. "Is this why you're here? To taunt me?"

"It's true though, isn't it?" Sybil stood up and furrowed her eyebrows. "You think they're ever gonna see you as anything other than a bloodthirsty Siren? They don't keep you around because they love you, Dallas. They keep you around because they're scared of you." she paused and pulled out the pill bottle that was kept afloat in the water during the first time they met.

"Does this look like something you'd give to someone you love or someone you're trying to control?" She attempted to speak once more but her phone rang out into the eerie silence of the docks.

"Sybil, the fork.. Marilyn.. they're both gone." Enzo's voice buzzed from her phone as Sybil flickered her eyes to Dallas who heard every word.

Dallas narrowed her eyes. "I thought you hadn't seen her?" she mocked her aunt as she took a step forward.

Sybil dropped the phone and let out a heavy sigh. Why could nothing ever go to plan? Why did everything fuck up so very quickly. "Beacon Hills wasn't the right place to do this." she mumbled. "Look, Dallas, I take care of my sisters. I will always take care of my sisters. You haven't gotta pretend with me-"

"Oh my god, I'm not your sister, Sybil!" Dallas hissed. "You know for once, it was nice to have a bit of family that wasn't completely insane, but even now I see that was too much to ask."

"You are." she knitted her eyebrows together and took a step forward. "There's an island in the dales, we can start everything over again. You'll understand what Marilyn didn't. You can be with us.. with me."

Sybil broke a little inside. "Don't you wanna be with me?"

Dallas shook her head slightly. "I'm not a replacement for my mom, Sybil." she swallowed harshly. "And I wish people would start getting that."

The phone buzzed in Dallie's pocket and the voice of Stiles Stilinski grabbed her attention on voicemail.

"Hey, Dallie. Sorry I've been awol for a bit, but we finally cracked the last piece of the list!" he spoke with his signature tune of enthusiasm and excitement. "You're probably like, Stiles, shut up already and get to the point." he spoke in a feminine tune next. "Not that you sound like that. You don't. Uh, I should stop talking right? How long is this thing?" Stiles then cleared his throat. "Anyway, I uh, I miss you. And I love you. And i'm coming over, I'll see you soon, yeah?"

While Dallas seemed distracted from the message and a miniature smile found its way to her face, Sybil visibly scowled. The Garcia attempted to pull the phone from her back pocket and answer his message, but the other siren grabbed ahold of it and knocked it out her hands and into the water beside them.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Dallas spoke with venom as her phone sunk beneath the waves of the lake. It swallowed her and her messages whole as the final beep gurgled out from beneath the water. "Why would you do that?"

Before any answer was given, Dallas felt her cold hands place on the side of her neck and with a swift twist sideways, everything she saw faded into a deep blackened nothingness.
