"𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿!?" Vox's outraged voice came from down the hall as he stalked towards the front of the building. "He's not that much of an idiot!"
"I'm not- sure, sir." His worker spoke with clear fear, clutching a clipboard against his chest. "Alastor, he's just...standing around outside."
Vox seemed to shake with unbridled rage at the thought of Alastor, his screen blue-screening and glitching at the thought.
As it blue-screened, everyone in the room could swear it read: 'a virus has been detected, please wipe all VoxTek memory off of your device: fuck.you.alastor//you pissy 1930's-looking-ass.' on Vox's screen.
He growled, fists clenching together as he heard a familiar voice down the halls.
"Vox, get your ass up here, now!"
That was Velvette, squawking about something or other. Vox turned swiftly and made his way towards her voice, rolling his eyes.
"Yes, what is it, Velvette? I'm kinda busy, at the moment..." his voice trailed off as he noticed that her voice led him to his own control room. Every screen on the wall and mounted on the desk was glitching uncontrollably, as if something, or someone had broken it.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW-"
Vox started in a sharp, bitter tone, stalking into the room and staring at the screens with a hint of dismay in his expression. "Who did this?!"
Velvette shrugged, seeming unamused and frankly a little too dismissive for Vox's liking. "I don't know. I can't know everything, prick."
Vox felt his eye twitch a little at her dismissive, monotone voice and expression. "Well- get Val down to a meeting. Now. Go! Shoo!" And with that, he waved Velvette off with a sharp flick of his wrist.
Velvette rolled her eyes, making no attempt to go faster out of the room as she walked out, disappearing behind the doorframe as she went to go get Valentino. Vox let out an irritated sigh, straightening his posture and walking back out of the room, his hands behind his back as he strided through the halls.
Val was already waiting with Velvette in their designated meeting spot when Vox arrived. As per usual, he was fiddling with his new weapon of choice, a hand gun.
"Val. We have a problem." Vox began, clearing his throat to get the other Overlord's attention before starting to speak again. "Alastor is currently breaching into our territory. We need him out. Now."
Velvette, who was unsurprisingly on her phone, looked up as she not-so-subtly took a picture of Vox with a filter on. "Just go talk to him."
"Talk to -Talk to him?! Are you mentally ill?" Vox snapped back, noticing her take the picture. "Delete that, Velvette-"
"No." She replied in a firm sort of tone, running a hand through her bangs slightly as she spoke again, leaning back against her chair.
"I'm telling you, go talk to him."
Val shrugged lightly in agreement, sitting up. "Come on, amorcito, just go talk. It won't take very long, and he isn't that bad."
Vox felt his patience grow thin as he slammed one fist on the table. "Not that bad? Need I remind you of what he did?!"
Velvette rolled her eyes, flinching lightly from the sound of his hand hitting the table. "Don't start with that again. Just don't."
Vox let out a deep exhale, trying to control his anger. "If I'm going out there to talk to him, you're both staying here. I don't trust either of you with actual business and all that bullshit."
With that, he got up and strided to the doorway, not waiting to see if the others followed his orders and kept put in the room.
Vox kept walking down the hall swiftly with his hands behind his back. He turned to an employee of his, shooting a sharp glare at the innocent sinner. "Updates on Alastor. Now."
The employee fumbled with her words for a second, before clearing her throat and speaking. "He's...still outside the building, sir. And he isn't leaving. Sir."
Vox let out a tired, stressed exhale, feeling his patience waning slightly with every second that passed. "Fine. I'm going out to...talk to him. Make sure he can't get in. Or...do anything. At all."
The worker half-nodded quietly, scurrying away like a frightened field mouse. Vox let out a loud displeased scoff as he approached the main doors to the V Tower.
"Ugh...fuck my life."
