Pairing ~ Jimin (BTS) x Jisoo

Summary ~ Park Jimin, a sailor who sets out to catch some fish. He soon catches something else that he never expected. A mermaid. He plans to sale her and become rich. Over time he falls for the mermaid.

The ocean was a beautiful crystal clear blue. You could see animals of all kinds and of all colors. On the water you could see many boats, many people out to fish or to admire the view. Here on the beach was a young male. He sat on the sand with his feet in the water. He looked out onto the water.

Suddenly something had caught his eye. It was red hair. He brushed it off as many people were out swimming. Soon the light blue sky with pearly, fluffy white clouds was gone. It was replaced with a dark blue fading into black with twinkling stars. The male set off onto his boat. In his mind he thought heading out at night was best.

The ocean would be isolated. No one here besides himself, the animals and plants. He set off on the water which was now reflecting the night sky. He went a good distance from the beach. The male lowered a giant net into the water as he admired the view. The ocean was definitely a magical place. As he waited for something to get tangled in the net he took pictures.

Soon the boat started rocking. The male panicked and stared to bring the net up. Whatever he had caught was big. As the net was now up he could see he had caught something and it was indeed big. He saw hands? The male shined a light onto the creature and found a human? As he was about to let them go he noticed the bottom half, a tail.

“W–what are you?!” He yelled as the creature flinched. They didn’t respond. The male noticed the same red hair from before. He then noticed the feminine features.

“I’m not sure what you are, but you sure are beautiful. No denying that.” He said as he kept admiring her. Although he couldn’t see her face he could tell she was beautiful.

“P–please let me go.” The female whispered but the male managed to hear. He noticed she was shaking.

“Well, sweetheart, I can’t do that. Now, I won’t hurt you but when I sell you I’ll be rich. You aren’t going anywhere though.” The male said as he tried to move the net onto the boat.

“So what exactly are you. A siren?” He asked. She shook her head.

“I’m a mermaid.” She said still not looking up.

“What’s the difference?” The male asked as he was proud of making conversation.

“Sirens want to kill.” Was all the mermaid had said.

“Hm, alright seeing as you aren’t trying to kill me you aren’t a siren. But, sweetheart, I need to see you face.” The male said. He waited for a bit till the latter responded.

“Why.” Was all she said.

“Well, I want to see the pretty face that belongs to this pretty body, I’m Jimin by the way. Nice to meet you.” The male now identified as Jimin said with a smile. Soon enough the latter finally looked up. Jimin was star struck. How can someone be this beautiful?

“I’m Jisoo.” The mermaid now known as Jisoo said. Jimin was still staring at her. Her red hair flowing in the slight breeze, her heart shaped lips in a small frown and her brown eyes trapped behind a wall of gloss. Jimin did feel bad but he could become rich.

His family needed the money though. He drove his boat to the beach. He tied it at the dock and carried the net, with Jisoo to his car. He put her in the back seat. Of course not knowing anything about mermaids he searched up how long the could go without water.

It said they can live on land as long as the have the sufficient water they need. The blond male started heading home. He pulled Jisoo into his home as he got a glass of water and a straw. She drank the whole thing as Jimin carefully took her out of the net.

Jimin saw her slightly shaking.

“I’m sorry. I just need the money for my family.” He said as Jisoo looked up.

“I mean why apologize now. I’m far from home and no one’s looking for me anyways.” The red head said as she looked down again.

“What do you mean no one’s looking for you?” The blond male asked as he saw Jisoo sigh.

“My family kicked me out because of how much I loved looking at the humans. They said it would not be their fault if I got caught one day. But I mean they don”t have to worry about me now.” She said as Jimin saw a few tears fall from her face. To say Jimin was upset was and understatement. He was furious, how could her parents be so cruel?

Jimin knew he would not sell her right now but keep her with him for a bit.

3 Months Later

Jimin had gotten to know Jisoo more. Jisoo has gotten more comfortable around him. The two became friends and Jimin had forgotten that he would sell Jisoo. He had fallen for her, but Jimin didn’t know if she felt the same. He felt it was time to tell Jisoo even if she rejected him.

“Jisoo.”

“Jimin.”

“You can go first.”

“No, you can go.”

Jimin took a deep breath.

“Jisoo, I like you.” The male said as he waited for any reaction. Suddenly Jisoo was on top of him.

“I like you too.” She said as she landed a kiss onto his cheek.

“How are we going to work this out? I can’t go out.” Jisoo asked as Jimin hugged her.

“We’ll work this out because we’re doing it together.” Jimin said as he intertwined his and Jisoo’s hands.
