Renjun and Donghyuck are known to be 'The Savage Duo' by their group of friends. They kinda used to these two's personalities as the younger one is loud and the older one is quiet, but they both complement each other.

They met when they were in their first year of highschool. They weren't in the same class but somehow, destiny managed to make these two meet.

It was in the middle of august, Renjun was studying at the library, peace and quiet. He really likes the sound of a defeaning silence. But it was ruined when a certain boy barged into the library, happily singing some random song Renjun didn't know about. He sighed and tried to focus on what he's doing. The librarian told the boy to be quiet but the boy seemed to ignore her.

As Renjun was reading his literature book, the boy approached and sat beside him. "Hey, I'm Lee Donghyuck, but you can call me Haechan. What's your name?"

He sighed, "My mom told me not to talk to strangers." He continued to read, hoping for the boy to leave. But he didn't.

"Hmm? I told you my name, so technically, I'm not a stranger." Donghyuck let out a chuckle.

Renjun closed his book gently, calming himself down, and look at the boy, "Huang Renjun." He was about to open his book again when Donghyuck snatched it and laughed.

"Let's be friends. You interested me." Renjun furrowed his forehead, but Donghyuck laughed again. His laugh is annoying. "Bestfriends?"

"Whatever."

It's not a good first impression, but they kinda made themselves good friends despite being opposites and in different classes.

They were in their sophomore year when Renjun realized that maybe, just maybe, he likes Donghyuck a little bit. But he didn't know what to do, so he asked one of his other friends.

What if he rejects me?

Donghyuck was having a bad day that time and he didn't know why. Renjun knew it was a bad timing but still, why not give it a try, right?

So, he approached his bestfriend who's sitting on the bench nearby the canteen. Donghyuck was continuously sighing and sighing, pouting and pouting. He thought it was cute.

"H-hey, Donghyuck-ah!" He tried to sound cheerful but his anxiousness made it sound awkward and embarrasing.

"Oh hey, Renjun."

"You look sad, is there any problem?" He looked at the younger worriedly.

"Nothing."

He gulped and sighed a little, "Uh, Donghyuck, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

He hooked his index finger onto the younger's chin to make him look at him, "D-do you still like Minhyung?"

"It's Mark."

He rolled his eyes, "Yeah. Do you still like Mark?" Even though he already knew the answer, he still asked just to make sure so he can prepare himself to be rejected.

Donghyuck slowly nodded, "Y-yes." He looked down and brushed his bangs away from his eyes.

Renjun looked at him and sighed a bit more. "Donghyuck, w-what if..." Donghyuck patiently waited for the older. "What if I tell you that...I-I like you?"

Donghyuck's eyes went wide and looked at the older male. Renjun knew he messed up when he saw the younger's forehead furrowed. "W-what?"

"...I like you."

"Again, what?"

"You heard me, right?"

"I'm s-sorry, I don't know how to respond to that." The younger sighed. "W-would it be better if we stayed as bestfriends? I'm sure you'll find someone better. I don't want our friendship to be ruined. Renjun, it's not that I'm rejecting you but— oh my god, don't cry!" Donghyuck panicked when he saw tears rolling down the older's cheeks.

Renjun didn't know what to do anymore. He's crying a mess in front of Donghyuck. In front of his bestfriend. "It's okay, I understand, Donghyuck."

"P-please stop crying!" The younger male hugged him and he hugged him back. "I love you too, okay? Please stop crying."

"O-okay."

They were in their third year in highschool when Renjun met Chenle, a second year and an exchange student from China, and Donghyuck finally confessed to Mark in which the latter accepted.

They were in the library as Renjun was reading one of his novel books and Donghyuck was just sighing beside the older due to his boredomness.

"Donghyuck, stop moving your feet." Renjun said, eyes still focused on the book.

The younger apologized and sighed. "I'm so bored."

"Read books."

"I don't like reading books."

"Then stay still. You're distracting me." Renjun said and Donghyuck sighed once again.

"Renjun!" The said boy only hummed as a reply. "How are you and Chenle?"

Renjun stopped from what he's doing and looked at the younger. His heart suddenly beat faster upon hearing Chenle's name. "Uh, well,"

"Oh my god, you're blushing." Donghyuck teased.

"Stop it! W-we're just friends."

"Oh? I didn't mention anything about you being friends or something." Donghyuck chuckled, "But, are you just really friends? Like, just friends?" He smirked as he saw a blush forming on Renjun's cheeks.

"Well, uh, I kinda like him— I mean, I like him a lot."

"A lot?"

"Yeah, a lot."

"Then tell him."

"What?"

They were in their last year in highschool when Donghyuck and Mark became a couple, same as Renjun and Chenle.

"Even though Mark and I were together now, we're still bestfriends, remember that okay?" Donghyuck once said when they were in the park with their respective partners.

"Of course. We're soulmates."

"Yes, we're soulmates!" They both laughed, didn't realized Mark and Chenle came back from buying food for everyone.

"Hey, you two are so happy. What's going on?" Mark smiled as he sat beside Donghyuck.

"Yeah, mind if you share it with us?" Chenle asked as he leaned a kiss on Renjun's forehead.

"It's nothing, baby."

That night, Renjun and Chenle had their first kiss under the moonlight and a thousand stars. It was gentle and passionate. There were sparks and they felt butterflies in their stomach. Renjun swears Chenle is the most precious gem in the whole world. He couldn't imagine what would happen to him without Chenle now that he is a part of his life.

"Don't leave me, Renjun-ge, okay?"

"I won't. I will never leave you. I promise, when you finish highschool, we'll go back to China and continue our lives there together. Sounds good?" he pecked the younger's right cheek.

"Great!" the latter exclaimed and Renjun melted because of the angel in front of him.

"I love you, Chenle-ya."

"I love you too, Renjun-ge." They kissed once again, this time, with even more love and adoration.

And that night too, Donghyuck was crying in front of Mark. Not because he was hurt, but because he was happy. Mark told him that he'll bring him to Canada when he turns College, which is just in a few months.

He was so happy that he pressed his lips against the older's and he swore it was the greatest moment happened in his life. From being his crush since first year, and now, he couldn't believe Mark became his boyfriend and a part of his life.

He was so happy that when they broke their kiss, he hugged him while catching his own breath, and the older hugged him back, tighter. "I love you so much, Donghyuckie."

"I love you too, very much, Minhyung." The older felt nice when he heard his real name coming from the younger's lips.

Despite being separated from each other (because Renjun is with Chenle in China, and Donghyuck is with Mark in Canada), they remain bestfriends, and swear they will be forever soulmates.

"Promise me we'll continue to communicate with each other when you've arrive to China, okay?"

"Of course! And promise me too that we will continue to be bestfriends when you have arrive to Canada, okay?"

"Of course!"

"Renjun-ge! We're about to leave in a minute." Chenle told him and he gestured a 'wait' sign.

"Donghyuckie! Let's go." Mark said and Donghyuck only nodded.

The two bestfriends both sighed and hugged each other. "I'll miss you, Lee Donghyuck."

"I'll miss you too, Huang Renjun. Let's meet again next time, my soulmate."

"Yeah, next time, my soulmate."
