epilogue.

It's been a year since they broke up. Renjun never felt so lonely. He graduated two years ago and honestly, he doesn't know what to do in his life anymore. But he continues to draw, accepting commission for traditional and digital arts. He has earned money for his and his Mom's daily living. Sometimes, he read books at the local library in their city.

He still misses Haechan—Lee Donghyuck. There's no day that he doesn't think of the younger. He's still waiting for him to call. Even if he wants to call him, he doesn't want to disturb him. Donghyuck's probably happy now even without him. Thinking of it makes him sad, but maybe it's right.

He sighs and closes the book he just burrowed from the library. He can't read properly when his mind is occupied with thoughts. He puts the book under the center table and leans his back on the couch.

His mom gets out of the kitchen and meets him in the living room, holding two mugs of hot chocolate. She places them on the table, looking worriedly at Renjun, who's sighing countless times.

"Renjun-ah, are you okay?"

He looks at him and shakes his head. He doesn't need to lie because his mom would figure out that he's lying anyway. "I miss Haechan."

"You broke up, right?" He simply nods. "I'm sorry for that. Has he called you yet or even texted you?"

"No." Renjun looks down at his fingers.

"Why don't you call him instead?"

Renjun chuckles bitterly. "I don't want to bother him. He's probably happy in his life now, without me." It hurts.

"Aww, Renjun-ah! Come here, let Momma hug you." She hugs him and he buries his face between the crook of her neck. He then starts to cry, and she just lets him.

He opens the door of the convenience to buy himself some instant ramyeon. Her mom just left to work as a call center agent, and since he's too lazy to cook dinner, he decided to just eat here. He only bows at the security guard after he greets him. He then gets inside and walks to the noodles section.

He grabs one and goes to the large refrigerator. He gets himself Coke in a can then walks over to the cashier to pay. After that, he goes to the water dispenser. He opens the lid of the ramyeon cup just half way, grabbing the seasoning and the small fork inside and aligns it to the dispenser, pressing the button for hot water.

After he filled it with water, he borrows a tray and put the ramyeon on the it, together with the Coke. Carefully carrying the tray, he finds a vacant table to sit at.

When he finds one, he smiles slightly and walks over there. He places the tray on the table and finally takes a seat. He sighs of relief then leans his back on the chair.

While waiting for the ramyeon to cook, he picks his phone out of his pocket and unlocks it. He sees a message from his mom saying, 'Take care, my baby. See you tomorrow in the morning. I love you!' He then smiles and types out a reply, 'See you, Mom. Love you, too.'

He locks his phone and puts it back on his pocket. He then grabs his Coke and opens it, the fizzing sound making him relaxed. He takes a sip before placing it back on the tray.

After few minutes, he opens the ramyeon cup lid again and grabs the seasoning powder. He tears it open and pours it in the noodles. Using the small fork, he stirs the ramyeon thoroughly.

Before he even blows out air on the ramyeon, he hears a familiar voice. "You're here, too? What a coincidence!"

He froze for a few seconds. He blinks and looks up, greeted by a very familiar pretty face, a lollipop in his mouth. Renjun doesn't speak, he's just staring at the face. He feels like his throat dries up and he suddenly can not talk.

The person sits across him and smiles slightly. "How are you, Renjun-ssi?"

Renjun gulps. He holds the urge to cry again. He couldn't believe he sees him again and he's just in front of him. He fixes his posture and smiles back. "Uh, I'm fine. H-how 'bout you?"

"I'm good, even better, I think." Donghyuck replies, "I'm part-timing as a dance instructor at the studio in our old school. It's amazing!"

He deserves to be happy. "That's g-great. I'm glad you found something that makes you happy."

Donghyuck chuckles. "What do you do for a living?"

"Me?" Renjun curls his lips to the side, "I'm doing art commissions, traditionally and digitally."

"I knew you didn't stop drawing." Donghyuck giggles. "I wanna see your works someday." His laughs sound music to Renjun's ears.

"Of course." He nods.

Donghyuck takes the lollipop out of his mouth with a pop, swallowing the flavor before putting it back inside his mouth, sucking it again. "Oh, by the way, I gotta go. I'm just gonna buy some snacks and then I'll leave. See you when I see you. Good bye."

Renjun really hates the words 'Good bye.' He doesn't want to hear it anymore.

He nods at him and smiles one last time. "See you."

That night, he didn't manage to finish his ramyeon and Coke, and when he got home, he cried himself to sleep again.

How come they went from strangers to lovers to acquaintance? Once again, his heart shattered to pieces. He wishes to disappear.

-----

He's doing one of his commission today, sitting on the couch, his drawing tablet on the center table and a stylus on his right hand. He honestly prefers digital art than traditional art because he can erase or undo mistakes easily, and he can also zoom in or out his drawing whenever he wants to. In traditional arts, he can not do that.

He's peacefully drawing when a vibration from his phone interrupted. He ignores it and continues to draw. But then, it keeps vibrating and by that, he realizes it's a call.

He sighs and puts down his stylus. He saves his drawing and exits the app before picking up his phone. He answers the call without looking at the caller ID and put it in front of his ear.

"Hello?"

[Hi, Renjun.]

He froze when he hears the familiar voice. His hands begin to shake and his heart beats faster than normal. "Donghyuck?"

[Can we meet at the park right now?]

"Right now?"

[Yes, right now. I need to tell you something.]

Again? Donghyuck has to tell him something again?

He pauses. His eyes widen when he suddenly remembers what he told him when they broke up. He bites his lip and excitement rushes through his entire body. "Oh, o-okay. I'll be there in 10."

[Hmm, I'll wait. See you.]

"See you."

The call ended and he puts down his phone, dazed. He then sighs happily, smiling widely.

He enters the gate of the park and sees Donghyuck on the same bench when they broke up at the same place.

He exhales heavily and puts his hands in the pockets of his pants. He starts walking, becoming more nervous but excited at the same time.

Donghyuck turns to his direction and waves at him. Renjun smiles when he sees him with a lollipop in his mouth. He really likes eating lollipop.

When he arrives in front of Donghyuck, the younger suddenly hugs him, startling him a bit. He chuckles and hugs him back.

After a few minute, they both pull away and smile at each other. Renjun admires his face and notices the pretty moles. He wants to trace them with his fingers so bad.

"I thought you'd never call me." Renjun begins. "I started to think you'd be better off without me, so I didn't call you either."

Donghyuck softly chuckles. "I had a dream."

Renjun furrows his eyebrows, "What was it?"

"I was standing on the altar while you walk down the aisle. Our families were there, too. When you finally were in front of me, I almost cried seeing your pretty face. You even joked that I look ugly when I'm crying. But I didn't care. When we were about to say 'I do,' I suddenly wake up. That's when I finally decided to call you because I want to be with you. I don't want that dream to remain a dream, I need it to be real. I realized I don't want to lose you."

Hearing that, Renjun feels like he's dreaming. He pinches himself and it hurts a bit. He's not dreaming. Donghyuck's really in front of him, telling him about the dream he had.

He wants to cry. Renjun gulps and stares at the younger's eyes. "I don't want to lose you either. You're important to me, Hyuckie."

"I'm sorry it took me so long." Donghyuck brushes Renjun's hair away from his beautiful eyes. He wants to see him.

"Don't worry about it." Renjun smiles.

Donghyuck holds back his smile by softly biting his lower lip. He then fidgets on his fingers, and nervously asks, "Renjun, can you be mine again?"

"I'm already yours from the beginning." Renjun takes the lollipop out of Donghyuck's mouth before kissing him on the lips.

Donghyuck sighs contentedly and intertwines their fingers together. He snatches back his lollipop from Renjun's hand and throws it on the ground.

"You're annoying, Renjun." he says, grinning.

"You're more annoying, Donghyuck." Renjun tells him, grinning back.

"But I still love you." They say at the same time.
