THE RIDE TO the ballet studio was too slow for Selinas liking but she knew that running there wouldn't be a smart idea, there were too many people that could potentially spot her.

During the ride, Bella practically begged for her to 'see reason' but one threat and she clamped her mouth shut and leant away from her as the driver raised an eyebrow.

"She's trying to talk me out of living my dream for her own selfish reasons" she told him and he nodded in understanding, almost imperceptibly furrowing his brows at Bella.

"You see, Bella? Humans treat you as if you're invisible and just because one vampire thinks your special, you think you belong with us. Well you're wrong, you brought danger to the Cullen family by sticking your nose where it didn't belong and now, you're going to get what you deserve" she hissed into her ear, angry at the fact that her own supposed family turned against her for a human, a blood singer at that, not even a mate.

Soon, but not soon enough, the cab arrived at the ballet studio and Bella hurried out the car, either because she was getting antsy being in a car with a vampire who was thinking about killing her before she saved her mother or because the cab driver kept sending her dirty looks. Could've been both.

Selina followed eagerly and pushed her forward slightly as she hesitated, pulling out pepper spray that only made Selina snort.

"Bella? Bella? Bella, where are you?!" The voice of her mom echoes through the impressive building and Bella looked around frantically.

"Mom?" She called, running in the direction of the sound.

"Bella?"

"Mom?"

"There you are. What are you doing in here?" The voice asked.

"Everyone makes fun of me" a young voice complained and Selina smiled to herself as she understood what happened. "Come on, you're a wonderful dancer"

"Mom, I suck" young Bella replied bluntly.

There was a low chuckle before Selina felt an arm wrap around her shoulders, bringing her flat against a hard chest.

She snuggled further into him and they both practically purred at the contact.

"You're not leaving my side again, angel" he muttered into her ear and she shook her head in agreement.

"Never" she mumbled as she hugged him closer.

"Where's Victoria?" She asked quietly.

"Safe" he replied simply, placing a kiss on her temple and inhaling her scent.

He reluctantly pulled away and held his hand out for her to hold, and she did, intertwining their fingers as she prepared to watch the show.

Bella gasped as James walked forward, wrapping his free hand around her neck as he pushed her into a pillar.

"She's not even here" Bella said, shakily, realisation finally hitting her.

"No. Sorry" he said and Selina snickered knowing full well that he didn't mean his words.

"You know, but you really made it too easy. So to make things entertaining, I'm gonna make a little film of our time together" he exclaimed, letting go of Selina but making sure to keep her by his side.

He pulled out a video camera and pointed it at Bella.

"I borrowed this from your house. I hope you don't mind. Good. And...action" he said dramatically as he started the recording. "Oh, that'll break Edward's little heart"

"You have...Edward has nothing to do with this!" She shouted, pushing him away as Selina snarled at her.

"But he does. Oh, his rage will make for more interesting sport than his...oh, his feeble attempt to protect you. Don't forget, he deserves to this, to feel what I felt as he tried to keep my angel away from me...from us. And let's continue" he seethed, calming down towards the end as he reminded himself that he was getting his revenge in that moment.

Bella took out her pepper spray which Selina had forgotten about and sprayed it into their faces, only angering them farther as she tried to run.

James growled and jumped halfway across the room, landing in front of a terrified Bella, he grabbed her harshly by the neck and threw her into a pillar, her head cracking open as they both smelt the blood.

"Beautiful, very visually dynamic. I chose my stage well" he observed, taking her bleeding hand in his own "it's too bad he didn't have the strength to turn you. Instead he kept you this fragile little human. It's cruel, really" he commented as he pulled the camera up to get a good angle.

Selina considered helping but she knew that James needed to do this for his own peace of mind, to show her that he could protect her, that he would protect her and he would punish those who tried to keep them apart.

"Tell Edward how much it hurts" he said, cracking her ankle as she screamed bloody murder. "Tell him to avenge you. Tell him!"

"No, Edward, don't!" She hollered.

"Tell him!!" James shouted at her before  he was thrown across the room, Edward landing in a crouch in front of Bella.

James got up just as Selina hurled Edward across the room, James caught him and slammed him into a pillar, holding him there by his neck.

"You're alone, cos you're faster than the others" he observer as he slammed his head into the glass. "But not stronger"

"I'm strong enough to kill you" he growled and threw him into mirror as Selina roared in outrage.

"You shouldn't have come here, Edward" she taunted. "But I'll have fun ripping you to shreds"

He lunged at her and she barely moved out the way, kicking him in the back as he slid across the floor, quickly recovering before slamming her down harshly, hearing a crack to signifying that she would be down for a minute or so.

He ran to Bella and picked her up, muttering an apologie under his breath as he tried to get her out, but James grabbed him just as he jumped, sending Bella tumbling painfully across the floor.

He grabbed Edward by the foot and threw him at a window, going over to Bella as she pulled a shard of glass from her arm.

He looked Edward in the eyes as he bit down on her arm, her screams echoing through the vast room.

Selina, by then, had just managed to get up, her cracked back healed slightly already. She flung Edward off James as he pinned him to a wall and James went after him, getting pinned once again as they growled at each other.

Selina wasn't quite quick enough as Edward took a chunk out of James' neck and she was practically seeing red at the amount of anger she held inside her at that moment.

She yanked Edward's arm so hard that it came off and kicked him in the stomach as he stumbled but just then, the cavalry arrived.

Jasper, Alice and Carlisle all jumped in, Alice rushing over to Bella whilst Jasper went to help Edward.

Luckily, they weren't the only ones with cavalry.

Emmett and Rosalie barged through the doors and ran to stand in front of James as Edward and Jasper were holding Selina in their grasp.

"You're a traitor, going against your own family" Edward hissed and that was when it happened.

She felt it bubbling up inside her, all her anger, her frustration was coming to the surface and the only way to let it out was to scream.

And scream she did, it was an ear piercing, glass shattering scream.

All the windows shattered and all the opposing vampires had cracks appear in their skin, stumbling as the scream propelled them away.

"You dare call me a traitor after everything you've done" she hissed but Edward looked far too smug, he was planning something and Selina wasn't fast enough to stop him.

With unimaginable speed, he rushed forward, grabbing James by the neck and in one fluid motion, he yanked his head from his body.

This time, the scream was one of heartbreak, and the gut wrenching sobs that followed weren't any better.

The scream had sent them flying outside and she knew they wouldn't return that night.

Immediately, Rosalie was by her side as she fell to her knees, she pulled her into a hug.

"He'll be okay, they didn't burn the pieces" she soothed her and she nodded her head.

"I need to find Victoria, I need her" she whispered, heartbroken and Rosalie gestured for Emmett to pick up the two pieces of James as she rushed out to get something to put them into, not wanting to run around with a body in their hands.

They were prepared to search for Selinas mate, Emmett holding what was left of James and Rosalie holding Selinas hand in support.

"After I find her, we go to the Volturi and report a crime, a crime that's punishable by death. Killing ones mate without justification" Selina stated, standing tall and the others nodded, a hard glint in their eyes.
