AS SOON AS they arrived home, Edward rushed around to take Bella far away from Forks when he read James' thoughts.

Edward, Selina and Bella were the last ones to arrive home and when they entered the house, Laurent was just leaving which made Edward take a defensive position in front of Bella.

Selina hung back, waiting for an explanation.

"Wait, he came to warn us, about James" Carlisle explained as Edward almost attacked.

"This isn't my fight and I've grown tired of his games. But he's got unparalleled sense, absolutely lethal, I've never seen anything like them in my three hundred years and the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her" he warned before going to leave.

Selina grabbed his arm right as he went to take a step outside.

"So that's it? You so easily turn against your own, Laurent" she hissed but he ignored her and carried on through the door, leaving a seething Selina behind.

They all were ushered to the garage where everyone was preparing to distract James and Victoria, ignoring Selina completely.

"I've had to fight our kind before, they're not easy to kill but not impossible" Jasper explained as he glanced at Selina, felling the waves of anger coming from her.

"We'll tear them apart and burn the pieces"

"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature, even a sadistic one like James" Calisle sighed and Selina turned her glare on him.

"You guys have no idea what you're getting into" Selina warned.

"What if he kills one of us first?" Rosalie asked, sitting on the side.

"I'm gunna run Bella south. Can you lead the tracker away from here?" Edward said but Carlisle shook his head.

"No. James knows you would never leave Bella. He'll follow you" he explained.

"I'll go with Bella. Jasper and I will drive her south. I'll keep her safe, Edward" Alice promised.

"Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?" He asked.

"Yes" she said firmly and gently tugged Bella away, Selina following.

"No, you're not going with them" Edward growled.

"Watch me" she said, shoving Edward's shoulder as she walked past.

Selina made sure to keep her thoughts neutral as she passed so Edward wouldn't stop her and at the look on his face, she knew she succeeded. He turned away from her as she got in the car and started speaking to Rosalie and Esme.

"Rosalie, Esme, could you put these on so the tracker will pick up Bellas scent?" he asked, chucking the clothes at them without waiting for a response.

"Why? What is she to me?" Rosalie asked.

"Rosalie, Bellas with Edward, she's part of this family now...and we protect our family" Carlisle stated and Rosalie shook her head as Selina scoffed from inside the car.

"Really? Then why are we trying to kill Selinas mates?" She asked and as Edward looked at her in surprise she carried on.

"That's right, I saw the way she looked at them and you read their thoughts. He never would have went after the human if you didn't stop her from going to them. Then you tell Emmett that they're trying to hurt her so that he held her back, to 'protect' her. You took Selinas happiness away for your own selfish reasons, so no, me nor Emmett will help you. Selinas our family and, as of now, so are James and Victoria but you, Edward, are not my family" she said and stormed out with Emmett in tow, glaring at Edward. Selina grinned from the back seat and reminded herself to thoroughly thank both of them when they managed to get out of the mess.

Carlisele cleared his throat and turned to Esme.

"Will you be able to manage on your own?" He asked and Esme gave him a sharp nod.

Edward walked over to the car that Bella was in and leaned through the window.

"If anything happens, I swear to god" Bella said, distressed.

"Nothings gonna happen, there's six of us and two of them" Edward reassured and Selina snorted, as if she was going to help protect the human.

"And when everything's done, I'm gonna come back and get you" he promised.

"Yeah" Bella said shakily.

"Bella, you are my life now" Edward told her as the engine started, caressing her cheek before the car sped off.

Bella tried to contact her mum several times and Selina sat silently in the back seat next to her, trying her hardest not to snap her neck everytime she opened her mouth.

"Hey mom, its me again. Erm, you must've let your phone die or something. I'm not in Forks, but everything's ok and I'll explained it later" she said for the fifth time.

Alice and Jasper intertwined their hands, Selina didn't know if it was to purposely spite her but it made her undead heart clench as a reminder that she wasn't close to her mates.

After a while, they arrived at a hotel and they all stepped out to go to their room.

In the living area, they all sat around a table, waiting for something, anything.

Then, Alice gasped and Jasper turned to her.

"What is it? What do you see?" He asked

"The tracker, he just changed course" Alice said in her gentle, angelic voice.

"Where will it take him, Alice?" Japser asked, reaching for a piece of paper and a pencil.

"Mirrors. A room full of mirrors" she explained as she drew it out.

"Edward said the visions weren't always certain" Bella tried to comfort herself.

"She sees the course people are on. If they change their minds, the vision changes" Jasper explained.

"Ok, so the course the trackers on now is gonna lead him to a ballet studio?" Bella asked and everyone turned to look at her including Selina, who was thinking about what James had planned.

"You've been here?" Alice asked and Bella nodded her head.

"I took lessons as a kid. The school I went to had an arch just like that" she explained pointing to the picture and Selina stifled a laugh behind her hand at the thought of the clumsy girl doing ballet.

"Was your school here in Phoenix?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah" Bella said before immediately answering her phone.

"Edward are you ok?" She asked.

"We've lost the tracker. The woman is still in the area. Esme is going back to Forks to protect your father. I'm coming to get you, then you and I are gonna go somewhere...alone. The others will keep hunting. I'll do whatever it takes to make you safe again" Edward promises once again.

"Selfish" Selima mumbled just before he hung up.

Soon, Japser and Alice went down to the lobby, leaving Bella to finish packing her things and Selina just outside the door.

She heard Bellas phone ring and slinked back into the room.

"Hey mom, I'm glad you got my message. What are you doing home?" She asked before a panicked voice answered.

"Bella? Bella? Bella, where are you?!" It said.

"Calm down, everything's fine" Bella said, calmly.

"Bella? Bella?" It continued.

"I'll explain everything later. Mom, are you there?" She asked as the line went silent.

"Forks High School doesn't protect it's students privacy very well. It was just too easy for Victoria to find your previous address. It's a nice house you have here. I was prepared to wait for you, but then mom came home after she received a very worried phone call from your dad and it all worked out quite well. Mmmm" came the voice of James and Selina immediately perked up.

"Wait, wait. Don't touch her!" Bella shouted through the phone.

"Bella, vamp hearing remember?" Selina taunted and Bella span around to see Selina right behind her.

"Selina I-" Bella started but was cut off.

"You can still save her, but you're gunna have to get away from your friends, bring Selina too. Can you handle that?" He asked and Selina gave Bella a harsh nudge to answer.

"Where should I meet you?" She asked.

"How about your old ballet studio? And I'll know if you bring anyone unwanted along. Poor mommy would pay the price for that mistake" James promised.

"Pass the phone along" He said as he got his answer from her silence.

Bella quickly passed it to Selina who already had her hand outstretched.

"Hello?" She said and she heard an intake of unneeded breath from the other side of the phone.

"It's lovely to hear your voice again, angel. I assume, considering the drama earlier, that you don't care for the people you were with before" he said, remembering her struggle.

"Only two, the big one that held me back and his mate, the blonde who was standing next to him. I know it looked bad, but I'll explain later, we'll be on our way" she promised.

"Don't be long" he said before hanging up.

Selina turned to a frightened looking Bella and raised an eyebrow.

"Well? Lead the way" she said with a huge grin.
