Jaxon Nitsune.

Twin brother of Valentine Nitsune, was an egotistical guy and he loved being the center of attention, the opposite of the blonde for she would rather be behind the scenes rather than up in front.

Before she had left to take the Hunter Exam, the twins were always close and would rarely be seen without the other.

But when she did leave, Jaxon supported her decision and told her that he'd see her again soon.

And it was definitely sooner than later.

The gentle ring on the phone pressed up against her ear sent a spiraling wave of anxiety throughout Valentine's body and she began to wonder if this was the right decision.

She didn't know if her brother wanted to talk to her or if he'd just want to forget all about her, she had left him after all.

Soon, the ringing went silent and Valentine's heart stopped the moment a familiar voice passed through the speaker, filling her ears.

'Hello?'

Hearing her brother's voice, tears filled eyes of marigolds and a small smile formed on her face.

Her bottom lip trembled as an endless amount of joy filled her body and she let out a slow, shaky breath as she began to speak up.

"Hello brother",Valentine said, her voice soft and her marigold eyes softened as she spoke to her twin.

It had been so long since they last talked to one another.

A sharp intake of breath came from the other side and a shaky voice slowly spoke up, their voice cracking.

'Valentine..',Jax spoke up, his eyes wide as he heard his sisters voice and he was shocked that she had actually called; he thought that the only time he would hear her voice was when she returned,'Where are you? You'd never call unless it was important, so, what does my adorable baby sister want?'

Feeling her face fall into a deadpanned expression, Valentine's cheeks reddened into a deep, cheery red as her cheeks puffed out in anger and she let out a yell of protest, her face blazing with heat.

"You know how embarrassing it is when you call me that!",Valentine shouted, face red with anger and embarrassment as her cheeks puffed out,"We're twins, you jerk!"

As a small laugh echoed throughout the phone, Valentine's face fell into a deadpanned look as she let out a small sigh and a small giggle left her lips, her eyes rolling.

This was a whole new side to her that neither of the boys had seen before.

"Hey, Jaxon.. I need a favor",Valentine spoke up.

Suddenly, Jax's attention was grabbed and while he was on the phone, he leaned back in his chair and rubbed the top of his head.

It was clear that he was listening and as he let out a small hum, Valentine spoke up.

"Do you own a copy of Greed Island?",Valentine questioned, tilting her head in curiosity,"I remember either you or Akari having a copy when I was younger"

The line went silent for a moment, before a small hum filled her ears and suddenly, she heard things rustling around in the background.

He was clearly looking for something.

Most likely the game.

'Not anymore, if anything it's probably long gone by now'

A small sigh escaped Valentine's lips and her posture suddenly deflated, her lips pulling down into a frown.

Suddenly, she remembered the memory card and she perked up once more, her eyes lighting up.

"What if I had a memory card, could you find something?"

After giving Valentine the information she needed, Jax hung up and she turned towards her friends and a bright smile formed on her face.

They had a lead.

But, she had to send out Zeus to get the information and he's never left her side since the day she had found him.

Tying a small vial with the card inside, Valentine looked towards Zeus and looked into his eyes, seeing the courageousness within his gaze, a small smile slowly spread across her lips.

He was no longer the defenseless and helpless chick she had found, now Zeus was a strong and grown hawk.

Having him step up onto her arm, Valentine opened Gon's window and let out a small sigh, holding her arm out in front of her, her eyes gentle as she looked at her beloved companion.

With a gentle nod, Valentine watched as Zeus slowly opened his wings and balanced himself on her arm, before pushing off and flying through the window, his small body quickly pushing him through the sky.

Letting out a shaky sigh, Valentine slowly turned towards her friends and gave them a gentle smile, her eyes full of anxiety.

Since it was their last night, Mito had prepared a large meal for the three and noticing Zeus was nowhere to be seen, she had asked Valentine about it.

Only to know that he had went to retrieve something and then, the subject had dropped there.

'What's the big occasion?',Gon questioned.

Crossing her arms behind her back, a small smile formed on Mito's face and she looked at their expressions.

But she noticed that Valentine looked very anxious, which may have been caused by Zeus's absence.

'You probably won't be back to visit for a little while',Mito stated.

Small gasps left the children's lips and the blonde looked towards Gon, seeing the small sparkle within his eyes.

'Aunt Mito..',Gon trailed off.

'Who knows when you'll get a chance to eat again?',Mito stated,'Better fill up while you can'

With a soft chuckle, Gon nodded and hummed in agreement, his eyes sparkling with warmth.

It was strange for Valentine since she's never eaten without Zeus by her side and she wondered, if he was missing her too.

"Alright! Thank you for the food!"

The next morning, the three had boarded the ship and everyone in the small town waved them off as the ship slowly began to move away from the port, causing Gon to wave back at them.

'Aunt Mito! So long!',Gon called out,'I'm going to go find Ging, I promise! And after I meet him, I'm going to come back to the island, okay?'

As they began to get further away, Gon ran to the edge of the back of the ship and cupped his hands around his mouth, hoping that she'll still hear him.

'Bye! Take care! I'll miss you!'

Being further into the ocean, Killua stood beside Valentine and glanced at his two friends out of the corner of his eye, before a small smile formed on his lips.

He was definitely going to enjoy being with them and no matter the obstacle, he would protect them.

Even though he knew they could protect themselves, Killua wasn't going to take that risk and he wasn't willing to lose either of them.

Gon; the first person he had run into during the Hunter Exam and felt a quick connection with, the two of them quickly became friend.

Valentine; the girl who showed him that there was more to him than just being an assassin and showed him that he control his own life, no one else did.

He owed so much to them and on this journey, he was going to prove to them, that they meant just as much to him.

Up in the Nitsune estate, sat a boy with downward-sloped soft brown to golden eyes and short, yellow hair of varying lengths, cutting off squarely at the ends where it fades to a darker orange color, that falls in front of his face in uneven bangs.

He had fair skin and soft lily pink lips.

He was on his computer, looking through the coding of the game and it begun to look like a big deal.

Jaxon Nitsune was quite the computer genius and was an expert with games, which is probably why Valentine had asked this favor of him.

With a small smile, Jax got back to work and pride filled his chest at the thought of his twin having so much faith in him.

Turning in his seat, he looked at Valentine's beloved companion Zeus; who had continued to stare at him the whole time and placed a small piece of paper, containing the url, into the small vial before the bird stepped up onto his arm.

Walking outside, Jax lifted up his arm and looked the blue hawk in the eyes; eyes of black and gold staring into pitch black eyes, their eyes shinning with purpose as they stared at one another.

'Take care of my sister, Zeus'

Watching as the bird nodded to his words, Jax lifted his arm and watched as Zeus pushed off of his arm, flying higher and higher, further and further from view.

'Be careful out there.. Valentine'

The sound of waves hitting against the wood of the ship echoed through the blonde's ears and she stared off into the distance of the sea, the gentle breeze blowing back her hair.

The three friends were currently sitting atop of the sail of the ship and stared off into the distance, keeping their eyes peeled.

'That's it!',Gon exclaimed,'Valentine, Killua, it's right over there!'

Seeing the land in the distance, a gentle smile slowly spread across their faces and Valentine gently sighed, closing her eyes as a breeze swept across her face.

'Yeah, we're almost there. Yorknew'

Without Valentine's knowledge, a head turned her way and eyes of ice stared at her with a gentle look in their gaze, a gentle smile on their lips.

The sun beat down on her skin and gave it a soft glow, her hair looking as if the sun itself had embodied her.

Eyes of the Atlantic softened with care and a gentle glistening shined in their gaze.

'Can you believe that we're gonna get to see Kurapika and Leorio again?',Gon questioned, looking down at his friends,'I can hardly wait!'

"Me either!"

Seeing the look on Killua's face, Gon's eyes softened and a gentle smile slowly spread across his lips, a small laugh escaping.

It was clear to Gon that his friends cared for each other, but not in the same way they cared about him and he knew, that there was something else going on between them.

But they didn't see it yet.

'We've still got two weeks before we're supposed to meet up',Killua stated.

With a small smile, Gon turned his gaze back towards the island they were approaching.

'Oh, right',Gon said,'It's been six months since we saw them last and I'm getting excited'

Looking back out towards the water, Killua held his head high and felt the breeze move his hair.

'And six months ago, I never would have dreamed we'd come to Yorknew City',Killua stated,'Not for this, anyway. The auction starts on September 1st, so we need to gather as much info on Greed Island as possible before then'

Turning his gaze towards Killua, Gon nodded and turned his gaze to Valentine, seeing the excited look on her face.

It was clear that she was just as excited to see Kurapika and Leorio as they were.

'Mm-hmm and if we're lucky, we might even find out some more information about Ging',Gon stated, his tone full of hope.

'Well, he did leave you a memory card, along with that recorded message',Killua said,'There's gotta be a connection. But no matter what, once Val's brother sends that URL, we can check it out right?'

Nodding to Killua's words, golden eyes turned Gon's way and a bright smile formed on Valentine's face.

"And besides, I don't think Ging would leave you something for no reason at all",Valentine stated and her golden eyes seemed to glow in the light,"So I agree with Killua, there has to be a connection"

With a gentle nod, Gon hummed in agreement with their words and three smiled at one another.

Hearing a loud and familiar screech, a gasp left Killua's lips and Valentine immediately stood up, a bright smile on her face as she steadily stood atop of the mast.

Seeing a familiar pair of blue feathers, Gon and Killua watched as the hawk sped up, quickly diving towards Valentine, before landing on her outstretched arm.

Gentle coos left Zeus's beak and he rubbed his forehead against Valentine's cheek, small purrs leaving him as he ruffled his feathers.

'Alright! It seems like Val's brother sent the URL!'

'That's awesome, let's get started!'

With a hum of agreement, the three looked towards the island they were approaching and the wind blew their hair back, their eyes gleaming.
