Jimin looked up at the clock then back at his window.
He was waiting for 7 to roll by.
He was nervous.
The thought of sitting next to Yoongi at the movies was nerve racking.
Jimin slapped himself.
He didn't know why the thought was nerve racking. It wasn't. Or at least it shouldn't be.
7:00pm
Jimin quickly stood up and put on his jacket, placing his hand on the handle. He took a deep breath in. "It's not a date. It's not."
He opened the door but stopped dead on his tracks as he saw Yoongi closing the door in front of him. He quickly closed his door.
Is he leaving? Is he standing me up? I mean... there's no date to stand up.
Suddenly his doorbell rang.
Jimin stood there, not really wanting to waste time from going to Yoongi's house on time but he was too nice to refuse the door.
"Jiminie, you in there?"
Jimin quickly opened the door and smiled. "Hey Yoongs hyung. I was just heading out."
Yoongi scratched the back of his neck. "I was thinking... is it alright if we stay here?"
Jimin tilted his head in confusion. "Stay here?"
Yoongi fidgeted with the laces of his hoodie. He was more anxious than usual, today of all days, and thinking of being around so many people when all he wanted to do was watch a movie with Jimin. "I don't really want to go out. So is it okay if we stay and watch some rerun?"
Jimin swallowed. Stay at home? "Well, would you like to stay here or at your house?"
"I kinda wanna get out of my own house." He chuckled. Yoongi then pulled out a pack of popcorn from inside his jacket. "I got the popcorn."
Jimin wondered why he was suddenly talking with a daegu satoori. He opened the door for him wider. "Come in."
Yoongi smiled and placed the popcorn pack on the counter, watching as Jimin took off his jacket and went to the kitchen.
"Are you alright hyung?" He took the pack and opened it. "You seem different."
Yoongi swallowed. Although he meant to say there was nothing wrong, and that nothing was bothering him, he spilled like beans out of a can. "I received a letter this morning from someone that really fucked me over."
Jimin looked up, wondering if he meant his ex girlfriend. "Really? Was it bad what the letter said?"
Yoongi shrugged as he took off his jacket and placed it on the counter. "I don't really know. I didn't open it."
Jimin frowned, the microwaved beeped as he pressed the popcorn button. "Why didn't you open it?"
"I'm scared of what it'll say." Yoongi rubbed his hands together before taking his right hand to his ear and play with his earring.
Jimin stood across him, placing his elbows on the counter. "What if it's something good?"'
"Nothing good could come from that whore." Jimin gulped and Yoongi quickly sighed. "I'm sorry, maybe we should reschedule."
Jimin's eyes fell.
"I'm just so stressed out and now this bitch decides to contact me after so long and I don't want to be mean to you accidentally."
Jimin smiled as he walked over to Yoongi and grabbed him by his shoulders. "I'm use to you being mean. Do you maybe want to talk about it?"
Yoongi looked down at his hands as he rubbed them again. "I really haven't to talk to the others about it fully and I trust them with everything..."
"It's fine if you don't want to talk about it." Jimin let go of his shoulders and walked to the beeping microwave. "But I learned that maybe talking about stuff little by little helps a lot when trusting someone."
Yoongi looked up, feeling guilty for rejecting Jimin's obvious concern. "Little by little?"
Jimin nodded as he grabbed a bowl out of the pantry and poured the popcorn in it. "Yeah. Instead of telling me the whole story in one single telling, go chapter by chapter." He took the bowl and smiled at Yoongi as he passed him to the couch. "Now, I'm gonna sit here and eat popcorn while I watch a movie. It's your option to stay and watch it with me."
Yoongi looked between the door and Jimin.
The blonde shook his head. "You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to."
He wanted to stay and be with Jimin. The boy brought him peace even when he was most tired of the world. Maybe going little by little would help. Plus, he was already eating his popcorn without him.
He walked to the couch and sat next to Jimin, twiddling with his hands as the shorter boy looked through the movies. "Um... I told you how my parents are dead right?"
Jimin hummed in agreement. Was Yoongi really trusting him?
"Well, at the time, I was dating this whore and, she didn't really help me out when I needed her the most." He sighed. "She just made me disconnect with all my friends saying that that way I could actually grieve in peace. I couldn't really do that while I went through legal stuff someone has to take care of once someone dies and her breathing on my neck to make everyone else disappear, so..."
Jimin and Yoongi made eye contact once the blue haired boy looked up. "You disconnected from people." Jimin nodded and smiled. "End of chapter one."
Yoongi cocked his head to the side. "Don't you want to hear more?"
The younger nodded cutely. "Yup. Once you're ready to share more. For now, I want to watch Wreck It Ralph." He pointed at the tv before turning to it.
Yoongi nodded. "Okay..." He grabbed some popcorn and smiled to himself before eating it. "Wreck It Ralph it is."
