Your face felt the warmth of dragon fire even behind Bakugou's wings. Although you couldn't see, the shrieks of the men made you tremble in Bakugou's hold. He kept you still all the while his eyes watched the carnage. He didn't move his wings until he was sure the noise had died down and no one was left.

Uncovering your face, the short battle ended, and you were carried off of the dragon. Bakugou sets you down on the ground beside Kirishima's legs telling you not to look up no matter what. Beneath your hand, the grass is charred black and breaking down in your grip. Remains of the mercenaries' clothes and the scent of blood still lingered. One survived, essentially kept alive via Bakugou's order.

A scrawny man remained alive. He was trapped under Kirishima's paw after the dragon tore through his comrades with his teeth or burned to a crisp. Keeping your eyes glued to the ground, your body shook nonstop. Bakugou bent down, stabbing his sword next to the man's head. The mercenary's body tensed up in fear.

"For a band of mercenaries, you guys are useless at your fucking job," Bakugou mocked his hostage, showing no remorse. "Now look, all your friends are nothing but ash, pretty pathetic, right?"

The dragon king smirked, leaning against his sword. He watched the man weep like an infant. The sounds of the weak breaking down before made him laugh. Bakugou glanced over his shoulder, seeing your eyes still staring at the terrain. Looking back, his right hand heats up, ushering a frightful reaction.

"Who sent you, or you'll lose your head?" The dragon king asked, holding his hand beside the mercenaries head. The frightened man withered, clawing at Kirishima's paw stained in his friends' blood. The dragon flared his nostrils, shooting out smoke. A low growl rumbles in the beast's chest, teeth showing.

"S-screw you," The man stuttered, hiding his fear under flimsy walls.

Bakugou clicked his tongue repeatedly, slapping his flamming hand over the man's eyes, deliberately earning piercing, petrifying screams. The pungent smell of burning flesh triggered your nostrils. You gazed up, able to see the carnage of Bakugou's dragon and stains of blood. You gasped, seeing Bakugou burning half of the man's face. "You don't learn, do you? I can clearly tell by how stupid you look. Now answer the damn question!"

"Wait? W-what are you doing!" You said, covering your mouth in shock as Bakugou turned up the heat. Black smoke passed through his fingers until he peeled his hand away. Crinkling his nose, bits of the mercenary's flesh stuck to his palm.

"Shut up! He's still alive." He tells you, wiping the blood on the grass. Standing up, he kicks the mercenary's shoulder. "This is your last chance, mercenary! Speak!"

"K-king Enji! He paid us to kidnap the princess!" The man screamed, trying his best to ignore the pain. His whimpers sounded rugged. Blood spilling from his wounds ran down his cheeks, much like his tears. Your eyes widen at his response. Bakugou's crimson glare saw your kingdom's crest pin to the man's coat.

"Betraying your own princess for a bag of gold. You guys are pathetic," Bakugou rolled his eyes, telling Kirishima to free their hostage, which the beast did without being told twice. You shook your head, standing up using the dragon as balance.

"I have to go home," You announced, keeping your eyes on the mercenary passing out. This caused Bakugou to snap his head towards you. "It was stupid of me to think my plan would work,"

"Seriously?! what happened to not going back?" He said, crossing his arms. Your eyes began to water, showing Bakugou your vulnerable side. Sobbing quietly in your hand, you started treading back and forth.

"I'm such a fool! I shouldn't have left in the first place." Pacing back and forth, you combed your fingers through your hair. "Now I have people sent after me by the man whose son I'll be stuck with for the rest of my life. Maybe my father is in on this too. Maybe he wants to know if I'm safe. Yeah, I can't do this. I gotta go back!"

"So you're giving up because you're scared of a bunch of mercenaries and an old man," Bakugou assumed, making you stop mid-step. Wiping your eyes, you sniffed, clutching onto your necklace. Picking up your bag sitting by the lake, you sling it over your shoulder.

"Thank you for your hospitality Bakugou," You thanked him, leaving him beside his dragon. Bakugou lifts his head, glaring at his dragon. As you disappeared into the forest the way, you came the first time, Bakugou jerks a finger at his beast, wagging his tail happily.

"Oh no-Don't think that I'm grateful for your timing Kirishima! We had a deal back home, and you broke that promise by coming here without my permission! You're lucky that damn stuck up princess was around, or else you would've had my foot shoved up your ass!" The king scolded the creature before he started climbing up the wing and slapped the dragon between his horns, pointing in your direction. "Kiri fetch!"

In your head, you didn't want to go back. If anything, you wouldn't like to bask in King Enji's presence, likely darkened by his anger. You're a princess, and putting your selfish desires before your people is the worst mistake a monarch could ever make. There's your father, whom you left behind to tame the flames you enraged and hold back the drums of war. You're also the last of a powerful bloodline, the bloodline your mother desperately tried to keep alive for years once married to your father.

In truth, you've always tried your best at everything, and there were times when that confidence would get the better of you. There was no better option than to return home and marry into the Todoroki family. Save yourself the trouble and give up on living the rebellious life before it tears you up on the inside.

However, you wouldn't be able to embrace your father. Instead, you'd find yourself in a dragon's clutches, taking you high into the sky, above the clouds. Confused, you looked upwards, seeing underneath the dragon's stomach. "Are you crazy?! Put me down Bakugou!"

Bakugou couldn't fathom the idea of quitting. It wasn't in his vocabulary. His seriousness held no bounds, and without it, what kind of king would he be today. The moments that transpired between Enji's mercenaries and the hospitality you spoke of unlocked new hopes for the dragon king to change your mind.

Clinging on for your life, you'd dare let go of Kirishima's arm. Your screams couldn't be heard; the howling wind thundered in Bakugou's eardrums. He directed Kirishima towards a stretch of mountains further than his cave. Past the stretch of land, he came across grassy hills and meadows. He noticed an acquainted village not far either and ignored your protests after protests.

The dragon drops you on the ground, where the grass softened your landing. At this point, this was considered kidnapping. Now you were in a place that wasn't familiar to you at all, and that's what Bakugou intended.

"If I remember correctly, princess, my end of our little deal is not done yet. You're stuck with me for the next four days, and I hate being in people's debt," Bakugou spoke up, stepping off Kirishima's head.

"So you're kidnapping me? Not if I have a say in this," You corrected him, leaning back on your palms. "What you did back there was inhumane and unkind,"

"You should be thanking me for saving your weak ass, and your lucky I'm a halfling, or no one would've heard you," Said Bakugou, bending down.

"I'm not weak," You retorted, obviously offended by his words. Your eyebrows knitted together, eyeing out the blonde tossing his sword aside on the ground.

Bakugou smirked, leaning over you so your faces were merely inches apart. "Prove it,"
