[ at 7 am two days later, hostess
kaori entered their large housing
space where the girls stayed. it was
more like a mansion than dorms. ]

[ she went into each and every room,
waking up the girls - some easier than
others - and telling them to meet her
in the common room asap. ]

[ the 43 girls gathered there, half awake
and in their pajamas, but kaori didn't
care. she couldn't wait to announce a
new, exciting special surprise. ]

"feeling rested, girls? i hope that you
did your morning stretches today
because i there's a special mission
waiting for you all today!"

"we're going to put you all through
a flexibility test! this may be exciting
to some of you, but unappealing to
others. i hope you all do your best!
we'll have two buses pick you up in
an hour and a half. good luck~"

[ kaori waved them goodbye as they
all watched her go. once she left, they
scrambled around, getting ready for
the sudden surprise. ]

[ camera cut: kang harin
"oh, how did i sleep? well... someone, i
don't know who, was snoring so, so
loud, so i'm sure you can guess how
i slept last nice. yeah, not good." ]

[ nanami went into the bathroom to
wash up, when she ran into seo mina,
who was oddly making cute faces and
high-pitched noises in the mirror. ]

nanami: um... good morning.

mina: no, i definitely was not
practicing my aegyo, why?!

[ nanami laughed, while mina
became a blushing mess ]

nanami: you should ask hana or chaeri to
help you with aegyo! they're the best at it!

[ blushing, mina nodded ]

mina: y-yeah, sure.

[ and with that, mina sprinted out of
the bathroom, leaving nanami giggling
still. she was cute without trying. ]

minkyung: breakfast is ready!
joyoung and i made pancakes!

[ the girls boarded two charter
buses excitedly, unknowing of
where they were being taken ]

[ jaehwa and dahye, who had become
close friends recently, sat together on
the bus. jaehwa cuddled a plushie, her
head on dahye's shoulder while she
slept. meanwhile, dahye listened to
music and stared out the window. ]

sana: whatcha listening to?

dahye: seventeen's chilli.

[ sana nodded and giggled from
the seat behind her]

sana: i always listen to music, but i
didn't know what to listen to. thanks!

dahye: if you want another good
song, listen to seventeen's mansae!
it always puts me in a good mood.

sana: okay! i can tell you're a carat.
or maybe you just have good taste.

dahye: you're right! i'm such a
huge carat. i still cant believe i literally
live with the8's twin sister now...

[ in the back of the bus, joyoung and
changyin we're sitting near each other.
joyoung felt bad for being so harsh the
other night, so she tapped her arm ]

joyoung: hey, changyin... i'm really
sorry for being so rude to you and
everyone else the other night. it wasn't
my place to act like that. i hope you
don't think i'm that mean usually...

changyin: oh, yeah.. i shouldn't
have told you to shut up. that was
really disrespectful of me. i don't
think you're mean, we were both
having a moment. don't worry!

joyoung: whew, im glad to get that
off of my chest. let's start supporting
each other in this from now on.

changyin: of course, i get you. and
of course, let's work together well.

[ the buses dropped all 43 girls
off at... a huge gymnasium? ]

nahyeon: so are we doing
something athletic?

[ they entered and saw today's special
guest, everglow's maknae wang yiren,
standing in the middle with a smile ]

all: hi, yiren!

yiren: hi! do you all know why i'm
here, or why you're here today?

all: a flexibility test!

[ yiren's power. period ]

[ it was fitting that wang yiren was
chosen to be a judge, she was extremely
flexible and it was an added bonus that
she could relate to the trainees in a way
because she was young and a rookie.
the girls were happy to meet her ]

yiren: that's right! you'll all do
a series of flexibility challenges
and try your best to win! i'll be
today's judge for this surprise!

[ camera cut: kim gaeun
"i'm excited! i mean, i'm not
really that flexible but i'm
always up for a challenge!" ]

[ camera cut: xu meihua
"i'm confident that i can win this!
i'm proficient in martial arts." ]

dahye: what happens if we win?

yiren: good question! the winner
will get an extra 400 points to
their total in the voting round.
400 since it's the fourth episode.

all: awesome!

yiren: yup! let's start with some
splits, shall we? let's go on the mat.

[ one by one, yiren watched the girls
do splits - or at least attempt to -
judging each and everyone carefully. ]

yiren: lijian, yoona, jaehwa, meihua,
chaeri, and joyoung! good job! you
passed. now let's go on to the next
challenge... bridges and back bends!

[ again, those six aced it while the
others struggled a bit. some looked
like they were about to hurt them-
selves, trying so hard but failing ]

[ camera cut: dong yeseul
"this challenge was not meant for me." ]

[ camera cut: ryu hanbyeol
"my back hurts already." ]

yiren: two more challenges, girls!
hang in there! let's do some leg
lifts. this should be easy!

[ yiren instructed them through the
next two challenges, and they were
finally finished. some of them looked
like they just ran a 5k, and some
looked and felt completely fine. ]

yiren: it's a bit hard to pick just one.
you did everything flawlessly... should
i just claim you all as winners?

[ lijian, chaeri, joyoung, meihua yoona,
and jaehwa bounced up and down
happily, thanking yiren for their extra
four hundred votes, which was huge! ]

yiren: congrats. and everyone, just know
i'm rooting for you! i've been there too
and i know how difficult it is. it's so worth it
in the end so don't give up and give it your
all, okay? joyride, fighting and good luck!

all: thanks, yiren!

yiren: i'll be going now~

[ the buses came back for the girls and
they got on, this time heading for project
joyride's stage to record episode four
and get their newest mission... ]
