chris came running towards the girl, matt following slowly behind. with more footsteps as tae rushed out of the house, slamming the door behind her. chris pulled her in for a hug, rubbing her head with his knuckles as the others caught up. "hey el, missed you. i've got a lot to tell you."

eloise smiled, returning the hug. "same, we'll have a lot of time to catch up." she paused, "unless you got a job for the summer?"

"i'm not sure if i will, i might to be honest though. i could use the cash." he said, letting her go.

matt brushed past him, hugging eloise. he smiled into her hair slightly.
"it's probably because you're spending all your remaining money on snacks and soda."

chris scoffed, "don't act as if you don't eat and drink it with me."

tae pushed chris and matt out of the way, grabbing eloise. "i swear move and let other people get a turn." she turned to her, "hii, how was the ride?"

"that's fine- i'll just talk to you later el," matt said rolling his eyes at tae.

she fake smiled at him, hugging her still.

eloise laughed, turning her gaze to tae. "i'm surprised your here already. but it was good, i've missed you."

tae nodded in agreement, "yeahh i came over to see you first. we should get your bags up stairs so we can the rest of the group to come over."

eloise's lips turned into a smile, replaying memories from last summer. "sure, we could have a fire pit too"

tae grinned, "great idea"

"i'll get the fire wood" chris said, opening the trunk, grabbing one of her bags.

eloise grabbed the last of her bags and the three shuffled up to the front porch as matt opened the door for them.

after climbing up the steps of the stairs, eloise made it to her room dropping her bags to the floor as she flopped onto her bed sending texts to her friends.
