Luna Hargreeves sat on the thin wooden bench. Taking red thick wrapping and carefully wrapping her hands. Taking extra time to make sure it wasn't too tight or too loose. Both would cause her to get distracted which is exactly what her opponent wants. Any type of distraction would cost her this fight.

Everything was riding on this fight.

"You sure you still wanna do this? We can still say you got a stomach bug or a UTI!" Miley suggested waving her hands around the air, something she did regularly. Miley Maybank was her manager since she started her boxing career. Seeing the potential in the young adult after winning her first fight. Even going so far as sticking up for her and even proofing that Luna hadn't used her powers to win. Proofing that Luna Hargreeves was in fact the better fighter.

"I'm over it. All that shit is in the past anyway." The blue haired woman declared not looking up from her hands.

"I get that L, I do, but you dated her for fuck sakes!" The redhead finally stopped pacing back and forth in the small dimly lit locker room. "If I don't do this now we both know I won't ever." Luna repealed after tucking the end of the wrapping and standing up and meeting the redhead in the eyes. "Whatever you say." She sighed out following her client out the door after throwing on her red silk robe.

Tossing the hood of the robe over her braided hair. The robe was something of a good luck charm. Putting it on right before her fight and walking out on it always gave her fast recover. She once went out without it and blacked out for four solid minutes. Followed by a broken nose and double black eyes. Her body was buzzing with every step she took down the blank back halls. Growing more and more excited as she got closer towards the screaming and cheering of the cowards. Ellie Demie stood with her back against the silver door, her arms crossed her chest. Nodding her head at the two when they got to her, "You ready?"

Luna shut her eyes; this was always when the nervousness in her stomach outnumbered the excitement. The anxiety of doing good was like an ever-growing pit in the bottom of her stomach. Circling her shoulders before stretching her neck from side to side. Trying to shake out the thought of getting knocked out from her mind. After your first knock out it's all that's in your head. The sheer thought of it happening again scared her to her core. Opening her eyes and nodding her head to her boxing coach.

Ellie smiled, glancing towards Miley seeing the clear nervousness painted on her face, "You ready?" The woman took a deep breath before nodding her head before planting a fake smile on, "As I'll ever be."

"Alrighty, let's do this." She replied pulling open the door allowing them to enter the deafening sound of the arena.

Luna led the way with both of them following behind her. A spotlight followed her as she walked her up the arena. The rest of the building was bathed in blue, much darker than her hair. Bright lights lit up the arena, two sets of bungee cords were surrounding all sides of the square. On the other corner was her. Rosa. Looking the exact same as when Luna walked in on her in bed with someone else. Except now her hair was actually put together.

"And now! The Nightmare herself! Luna Hargreeves!" The announcer shouted over the speakers causing the crowd to let out a louder even more deafening yell. Miley and Ellie held down the ropes to allow the 'nightmare' into the ring. Ellie gestured for Miley to go first before she followed. This was routine Miley would hold onto the red sparkly robe that had 'LUNA' in rhinestones. Ellie was helping put on the matching red and black gloves that matched her outfit. Once the gloves were on, she moved behind her fighter and started to rub her shoulders. "She's just trying to get in your head." She spoke into Luna's ear, having to raise her voice over the shouts.

Luna smirked; her eyes were glued onto Rosa. Who was matching her, smirk and all. "I know her tricks." Was all Luna replied, bringing her left arm strapping the Velcro down before doing the same to her right glove. Miley stepped in front, holding the robe in one hand and a small black container in the other. "Just don't go all Kill Bill on her. I'm good but not getting you out of homicide chargers good. Now open," She did as she asked, and Miley placed the mouth guard into place. Making sure it was sat in place before taking a step to the side.

A loud ear-piercing bell dinged, gaining all their attention. "That's our cue." Ellie stated as Miley placed her hand on Luna's forearm giving it a small squeeze, "Bet the shit out of her." She smiled and nodded at the small part that Miley always side before sending her to fight.

The two went out of the ring while Luna walked up to the middle of the ring. Meeting with both Rosa and the referee, "All right ladies, you both know the drill. I want a good clean fight, okay?" Both nodded their heads. Luna was the one to held her gloved out allowing Rosa to hit before the older referee raised his hand up. Another bell ranged out signaling the start of the first round.

Round one was always the loudest. Everyone was excited and itching for something to happen. Half always wanting a first-round knockout. Others are just hoping their beats play out the way they wanted.

"You wanna hit first or shall–" Rosa punched her in the face. Luna quickly recovered rolling her head forward to face her, smirking slightly feeling the slight sting in her temple. "You always wanted to be first." The black-haired woman then shot her right fist out and clocked her in her right eye. Luna took a step back, any hit to the eye or nose caused her to take a breath. "Imma shut up now."

The end of the round was that. Rosa had the upper hand with the most hits on Luna. Leaving Luna out of breath, trying to talk Miley out of freaking out. It was only the first round anything could happen.

Round Two somehow went worse. Even though Luna was still in the fight everything was falling through. Even though Luna was able to get a few hits and even drew some blood. It was like Rosa had spent the entire time leading up to this fight studying each and every move or take down that she had ever done in her career. When the bell ran closing out the second round Luna's body slammed into the small stool in her corner, "Damn it!"

"Gotta go to round three," Ellie declared as Miley was on the other side of her spraying water into her mouth. Both leaning over the ropes.

"I just can't get her." She huffed out feeling the rage started to build. Ellie reached around and took the cold white towel and whipped the sweat from the woman's forehead.

"Just get there and finish this fight!" Ellie shouted over the crowd.

"But every time I've tried, she gets out of it."

Miley leaned over getting into Luna's view, "You are one of the best and most ruthless fighters on the scene! You are the Nightmare so go out there and be Lune-the-fucking-Nightmare!" She hyped her up, which worked.

When the bell rang Luna shot up onto her feet with a determined look on her face. "That sparked a fire in her." Ellie remarked glancing over to Miley as the jumped off the sides. Miley shrugged her shoulders, "I'm her agent. I will always root for her." The two stood next to each other in their designated spot.

Round three started with both women bruised and bloody. The two circled each other like two animals circling food. Luna was trying everything in her to come up with any way of taking her down. She wasn't going to let Rosa win.

Luna threw a false punch with her right which Rosa failed for. Unknowingly allowing her face to collide with her left punch. This pissed the woman off. Hooking a meaty right into Luna's ear, throwing her off balance. Followed swiftly by one in her throat and a one-two-three into her nose.

Her vision blurred together. Her hearing turned into an overcoming high pitch ringing. Her body collided onto the hard white matt. Her lungs were burning, and her throat was dried out like a desert. When she came to, she could see the old man hovering over her face. His lips were moving but she didn't need to hear what he was saying. He was counting her out. At the sight of his second finger raising, she couldn't bear it.

It was like a fire had sparked right where she was. Springing to her feet and immediately putting her fist up in front of herself. The temperature raised in the building causing Miley to whip the seat the suddenly formed above her brow. Grasping the situation and stepping as close as she could to the ring. After spending so long with the woman she knew that anger brought on heat. Feeling the warmth radiate off her body.

"What's the matter?" Ellie asked joining the redhead's side, reading her worried expression.

"Luna is pissed."

She let out a huff, pushing her hair back feeling the sweat start to form on her hairline. Looking up towards the ceiling, seeing the metal of the sprinklers shine when the different lights hit them. "Ah shit. Her powers are so inconvenient sometimes."

Rosa stared at her ex grinning ear to ear. Her plans to rile up her had worked and she knew gotten her skin when she went silent. "What's a matter got nothing to say?" She joked before making a left hook towards her.

Luna ducked under it and brought her right leg up and kicked Rosa's side. Not missing a moment before she sunk her left fist into her cheek. Followed closely with her right fist. Then she did the same left and right punch sequence but landed them faster and faster. She had stumbled a few steps backwards. Her body never made it into the corner. Instead, she collapsed onto the mat. She laid on her back, all of the air being knocked from her lungs. Turning onto her side trying to both get more air into her now screaming lungs and her body trying to work out the pain. Instead, she turned onto the side the Luna had kicked in causing pain to shoot up from her ribs to her shoulder blades. Her ribs were definitely cracked. Letting out a wet cough as the spit mixed with the blood rushing from her nose.

The reefer took no more than a second before counting it. Declaring that Rosa was knocked out.

Luna hadn't heard any of it. Not the sick sound of the plush plastic of her gloves hitting her face. Not the sounds of the crowd 'oohing and cringing at the sight. Not the shouts from Rosa's team to get up. Not the old man, that looked like a kinder version of her former father, counting down.

It wasn't until she felt two pairs of arms wrapping around her did, she understand that result. Miley and Ellie were hopping around Luna pulling her back, so the medics were able to help Rosa. Helping her take her mouth guard out and handing her a white towel.

After the results came in that Luna was the true winner did her body calm down from the excitement and buzzy feeling.

Here she sat. The same place she always ended the night. This was the alone time she took to herself. Calming her body and even using her powers to help heal any important injuries.

The only sound was the buzzing of the dim yellow lights, only half of the bulbs were on, along with the small silver box in the corner of the room. Her feet were placed in two separate buckets filled with a ratio of water and ice. Unwrapping her hands starting to feel the tight soreness of each joint in her fingers. Humming softly to herself, testing to see if her hearing was gone. Hoping that this fight wasn't the one to do it.

Once the wrapping was off she draped the red wraps across the bench. Leaning down slowly, feeling her almost creaking as she bent. Cursing at how hard she fell onto her back. Dunking her hands into the water. Letting out a hiss of both relief and pain as the cold water soaked her skin.

Shutting her eyes and resting her chin onto her knees. Listening to the sounds of the female news reporter going over the weekend weather. "Sorry to interrupt you Serria but we have just gotten some breaking news." The male anchor voices broke through causing her eyes to shot open. Seeing his face. The face of a man that she cursed would never see her again. "Sir. Reginald Hargreeves has just passed away."

Luna's posture stood upright, not taking her eyes away from the screen bolted up in the corner where a water cooler and towel station sat under it. Droplets from her fingers caused the goosebumps that were already on her skin to become even more defined. "You bastard," She cursed in a whisper as if she couldn't hear the words herself. Tilting her head to the side as it hit her. She would have to go to an untimely family reunion.
