mina looked out her window, noticing the rainy day. it was the first day in the fall that it rained, a bit suspicious, but it was the weather so she couldn't assume.

she adjusted her headphones, watching the rain droplets hit her window with a thud.

the door opens making her jump. she heard heavy breathing, and footsteps?

she looked behind her noticing his hair wet, and his whole outfit wet.

mina licked her lips as she noticed his state. she grabbed a blanket, wrapping it around him. "mina- you don't have to."

"more like I need to. besides, I bet you're freezing." mina cut him off. she furrowed her eyebrows as she thought.

"wait- why are you even here. drenched I should add." she says, looking up at him. he obviously wasn't gonna look at her that easily.

"i need- i need to talk to you." aryan said, brushing some water off his nose. mina sits down on her chair, looking at him.

"about what?" she asks, making him open his mouth. he sighed before silently cursing to himself.

"everything! i mean- mina you do realize that if we do this, we'll never just be friends." he explained with his eyes closed. his hands expressing most of it.

"aren't we friends now?" she asked. she knew what he was talking about, she just didn't want to bring it up.

aryan opened his eyes, looking into her eyes. "we're more than that, and you know it." is all he says.

mina runs her tongue over her teeth, trying to think. trying to come up with a dumb comeback, yet she couldn't quite think of it. this time he would win.

finally, she nodded. "i do know. i really do- i just really like you and i don't know what to do with it!" she confessed, before closing her eyes, already knowing she said too much.

aryan breathed in. her words almost marking part of his soul. "i know. I'm dumb- i shouldn't have gotten you into this." he rambles, turning away. his hands got tangled in his hair.

minas heart hurt. she couldn't tell if he was saying he didn't like her, or he was just regretting he ever had with her.

either way, both options would be wrong and bad.

she confessed her feelings.. for him! and now he was taking it the wrong way. look at her go.

mina didn't say anything after that. aryan gave her one last look before shutting the door. when he made his way to the front door, mina could hear his groan.

all aryan could think is how he was such a dick. and such a player! why would he get mina, mina marie bassett, into this with him.

at this point he just hoped that he would get hit by a car on the way out. why couldn't he just tell her that he felt the same?

the question would haunt him night and day.
