Shailaja Murthy: AKA Amms. She is the mother of Vishu & grandmother of Mukti & Nandini. Hates that her son didnt give birth to any sons and has very back dated thoughts like girls shouldnt be educated and should get married off as soon as possible. Luckily Vishu & Naina fought her believes and got both daughters educated. Does not like punjabis and so hates Naina as she is punjabi. When Mukti got married to a guy of her choice and had a love marriage Amms insisted on getting Nandini married off as soon as she graduated but Nandini ran off. After 2 years, Amms gave up and left Mumbai....but will she be back??

Vishnu Murthy: Only son of Shailaja & father of Mukti & Nandini. Loves his wife and daughters alot. Does not like his mothers beliefs and always fought for his daughters & wife. When Mukti wanted to get married to Abhi, he supported her but then Amms got angry and insisted on getting Nandini married off to a boy of her choice. He was going to fight for Nandini as well but she ran away and didnt contact him in two years so he is now upset with her. Finally he forced his mother to leave Mumbai knowing Nandini would come back when she leaves. He is a well known Surgeon.

Naina Murthy: A Punjabi girl who went against her family & Amms to get married to Vishnu. Loves her husband and daughters alot. Does not believe in Amms beliefs and always supports her daughters. Naina is currently upset with Nandini because she ran away but really wants to see her daughter again. She & Vishnu convinced Shailaja that Nandini wont be coming back and forced her to leave. She knew Mukti is in contact with Nandini. Naina is a dentist. Along with Mukti & Nandini, her sister's daughter, Navya also has been living with them for 10 years.

Nandini Murthy(24 Yrs): The crazy younger daughter of Vishnu & Naina. She loves her Amma, Appa & Didu alot but hates her Amms because she doesnt like the way she treats her Amma. Ran away 2 years ago to escape getting married off and now returning to Mumbai. Nandini always says what she thinks and doesnt fear the consequences....she is headstrong and very intelligent. Nandini lives life like her last day.

Navya Kapoor(25): Only a few months older to Nandini. Navya is the only child of Naina's sister who passed away years ago. Since her father left, she has been living with the Murthy's and have a close sisterly relation with Mukti & Nandini. She started dating Cabir about 6 months ago. Shailaja pretty much ignores her as she is not her blood but Navya also hates her. Because of Cabir, Navya has met Manik and the family multiple times. Manik treats her well as she is Cabir's girlfriend but she has heard about his anger. Navya works as an interior decorator.

Harshvardhan Malhotra: The head of the family, retired business man. Father of Raj & Rohit. Harsh is a modern man and has no problem with love marriage...infact he had a love marriage. He still walks around like a love sick puppy when it comes to his wife. Knows the Murthy's through Naina who is a daughter of a close friend. Once Naina got married, her family moved away but he & his wife still treat her like their daughter, has met Nandini a couple of times and adores her alot.

Kavita Malhotra: If Harsh is the head of the family, Kavita is the spine. She has a firm control over her husband and her family. Like her husband, Kavita also is a modern thinking woman. She knows about Shailaja's thoughts and doesnt like her very much but remains civil whenever she sees her. Loves Naina like a daughter and also adores both Mukti & Nandini. Mother of Raj & Rohit.

Raj Malhotra: Older son of Harsh & Kavita, brother of Rohit, husband of Nyonika, father of Manik, Bade Papa of Abhi & Cabir. Is the chairman of Malhotra Industries but the business is mostly handled by the younger kids. Raj knows Naina very well having grown up with her and treats her as a sister. He has met Vishnu & Nandini a couple of times and likes her. Raj worries for his son and wonders when love will come in his life. Had love marriage with Nyonika.

Nyonika Malhotra: Wife of Raj, mother of Manik. Is a housewife and handles the home. Nyonika loves her family very much and mostly her son. She worries for him and wants him to get married. Knows Nandini and likes her.

Manik Malhotra (26 Yrs): Only son of Raj & Nyonika....the eldest born of his generation (Even though its by a few months). Manik is the CEO of Malhotra Industries and he has 33% partnership. He is arrogant and rude and hates girls because of a betrayal in the past. He loves his family though and treats the women of his family with respect. He is very close to his Dadi & his mom. Is a gem of a person but is the way he is because of that betrayal. Has never met Nandini as she couldnt attend wedding and he attended, boarding school and college abroad. He only came to India when she was in London.

Rohit Malhotra: Younger brother of Raj, Chote Papa of Manik, father of Abhi & Cabir and husband of Jhanvi. Is in board of directors of Malhotra Industries but the sons run the company. Loves all kids equally. Knows Naina for years and treats her like sister. Knows Nandini better than the rest of family because of Mukti.

Jhanvi Malhotra: Wife of Rohit, mother of Abhi & Cabir, Choti Ma of Manik. Loves all kids equally. Jhanvi runs her own cafe with the help of Mukti. Knows Nandini and secretly wants her to get married to Manik.

Abhimanyu Malhotra(26 Yrs): Twin brother of cabir, 5 minutes older than Cabir & 3 months younger than Manik. Married to Mukti for 3 years. He met her when she started working at his mom's cafe during college and fell in love. Knows Nandini very well and treats her as a sister. Abhi works as a lawyer in the legal department of Malhotra Industries but also is 33% partner in the company. Knows about Manik's past.

Mukti Malhotra (26 Yrs): Older daughter of Vishnu & Naina, Didu of Nandini. Mukti is Nandini's biggest supporter. She helped her run away to escape getting married off. She hates her Amms and loves both her families alot. Has become good friends with Manik & Cabir but Manik does scare her at times. Does not know Manik's past. Mukti met Abhi when she started working in Jhanvi's cafe at the age of 19 and soon fell in love, they got married 3 years ago. 

Cabir Malhotra(26 Yrs): Younger twin of Abhi & 3 months younger to Manik. He is the MD of Malhotra Industries & 33% partner in company. Dating Navya for 6 months. Cabir knows Manik's past. He also knows and has met Nandini and treats her like a sister.
