Chapter Forty-Nine

Brandon POV:

I walked inside the house and found my parents cuddled on the couch while Elena was sitting on the floor with her blanket and watching movie on the 42" plasma.

It has been like a tradition for our family to watch movie on Saturday's.

The lights were out making it difficult to see anything but I made my way and slide down beside Elena and Eric. Elena was munching on popcorn that were sitting on her lap in the large bowl.

I took some popcorn and threw them in my mouth chewing them loudly. I seriously wanted to distract them from movie and need their attention.

Again, I tried to take some popcorn but Elena glared at me swatting my hand away and turning her attention back to movie.

Eric was also watching movie with so much concentration.

I turned discreetly to look at my parents and found them staring at the screen with interest.

The panic inside me was building up. I knew if I didn't open my mouth today and tell them the truth about Madeline and my son then it means I'll never be able to do that.

I stood up and switched on all the lights of the house making them all protest.

"Mom. Dad. I need to talk". I said.

They straightened up on the couch but Elena's and Eric's eyes were still on the movie, so I switched off the TV.

Elena glared at me and huffed. Eric looked at me with bore face.

Mom, Dad stared at me, waiting for me to say something and I stared back at them.

I felt so nervous; my hands felt clammy and my throat was dry.

"Brandon, what is that you need to talk about? You've our complete attention now". My dad said looking at me with worry in his eyes.

My dad tries his best to look cool and pretend that he is not too worried but I know him better than he thinks.

"Dad, Mom I ... I have a girlfriend". I said.

Mom squealed in happiness and stood up from the couch. Eric lips twitched in a teasing smile.

"Oh, Brandon that's great. Who's she? Do I know her? When are you inviting her to meet us?". Mom asked me.

I looked at Elena for some kind of support but she shrugged her shoulders telling me to handle my mess myself. Eric grinned and give me thumbs up then snatched the popcorn from Elena.

Eric made a stupid innocent face. Elena rolled her eyes and let him take the popcorn.

I shook my head and looked at my mom's excited face.

Focus Brandon!

"Mom, you know her. I want to invite her tomorrow on brunch so she could get to meet you all". I said.

"That's good, son". My dad said eyeing me like he knows there is more in the story that I'm letting them.

"But at least tell me her name, Brandon". Mom said placing her hand on my arm.

"Mom, it's... it's Madeline". I said.

Mom gasped and dad smiled relaxing back on the couch. Eric doesn't look surprised, he murmured something in Elena's ear then looked at me and mouthed "WOW".

My mom's voice made me turn back my attention back to Mom.

"You mean Madeline, the girl who used to be your best friend". Mom asked.

Elena and dad laughed at my Mom's question.

"Yes, mom". I said.

"Oh God! Where did you meet her? When did you guys started dating?". Mom asked.

"I meet her in New York when I went to Damien hotel's opening dinner". I told her.

Dad raised his eyebrows in surprise manner while Mom eyes widened.

"That's why you have been spending so much time in New York City and I thought it was Chris who was keeping you there". Mom said with the teasing smile.

Elena and Eric continued to eat popcorn while staring at us.

"Mom". I begged her to stop.

"Okay". She said showing her hands up in surrender.

My phone decided to rang at that time and I pulled it out of my pocket.

Madeline name showed up on screen with her picture on the beach that I took secretly.

"Excuse me". I mumbled.

Eric whistled behind me and Elena giggled. I shook my head at them and get out of the house in the back garden from kitchen door.

"Hi, how's your headache?". I said.

"I'm good. Your son decided to turn in to my doctor and forced me to take a nap. Now I'm feeling great". She said.

"Well that's nice to know". I said.

"Brandon, why do you sound so nervous?". Madeline asked me.

"I fetched an invitation for you for brunch with parents tomorrow". I said.

"Are you serious? Did you tell them about us? Are they happy? What about Elena and Eric?". She asked.

"Calm down, Madeline. You are so nervous". I mumbled.

"Yes, I'm nervous, anxious. Call it whatever you want". She confessed.

"They all are really happy and eager to meet you". I said.

"That's good but I'm still freaking out". She mumbled.

I laughed at said, "I know you're freaking out but you need to relax and get a good sleep tonight".

In the background, I heard Bryan's voice asking Madeline to talk to me.

"Your son wants to talk to you". Madeline said handing the cellphone to Bryan.

"Hello dad". He said in his innocent voice.

"Hello, son. I heard you took care of your mommy and now her headache is gone". I said.

"Yeah, I made her sleep". He said.

"You're such a good kid". I said to appreciate him for his effort of taking care of his mom.

"Thanks. Dad, will you come tonight to meet me?". He asked me.

"Sorry son. I can't come tonight because I am arranging a small party for you tomorrow". I said.

"Tomorrow isn't my birthday". He said making me laugh.

"I know. But I have a surprise for you and for your mommy tomorrow". I said.

"Really? A surprise?". He asked me in an excited voice.

"Yes, a surprise". I said.

Bryan yelled, "Mommy, dad have a surprise for me ad you".

I laughed at his excitement.

"Brandon your son is jumping up and down on a bed with excitement. What did you say to him?". Madeline asked me laughing.

"There is a surprise for both of you". I said.

"Okay, I get it. You are doing this to distract my mind from tomorrow's brunch". She said.

I saw Eric walking towards me.

"Bye sweet heart and if you guessed the surprise before brunch will start I'll serve as your slave for the rest of my life". I said.

"Bye and love you". She said with the small laugh.

"Love you too". I mumbled and ended the call.

Eric was now standing in front of me.

"So you didn't tell the whole truth to mom and dad". Eric said.

I stared at him in confusion.

"About your son and my little nephew". Eric elaborated.

My eyes widened.

"Elena can not keep any secret". I said.

He shook his head and said, "We are twins for a reason. I know what runs in her mind and that's why she can't keep anything secret from me for long".

Elena also came out and joined us.

"Hello brothers. Any secret discussion going on here?". She asked staring at us.

"You told him about Bryan". I said to Elena.

She bit her lip and looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Okay fine. I'm not angry, stop giving me that look". I said making her jump and hug me.

I hugged her back.

"I need both of your help to arrange something for tomorrow". I said looking at them.

They stared at me then said, "We are in".

"So here's the plan......". I said explaining them everything they need to do tomorrow.

Madeline POV:

After dressing Bryan in the black shorts and shirt I was lacing his shoes when someone knocked at the door.

I laced his shoes then stood up from the floor and made my way to the door.

I opened the door and found Brandon standing there dressed in blue jeans, baby blue shirt left open from front showing tight fitted white shirt underneath.

Yes, I checked him out.

Brandon smirked at me and said "Hi, it would be very nice of you if you let me in".

"Uh... Sure". I said stepping away from the door and letting him inside.

He glanced at my SpongeBob pajamas then his eyes went to my white camisole and he gulped.

"Why are you still not dressed for the brunch?". He asked me.

"Because Bryan decided to spend a lot of time in shower and when I went inside the bathroom to check on him he was playing in the bathtub rather than showering. I had to drag him out then dress him into his clothes". I ranted.

Brandon smiled at me then said, "Relax".

I took the deep breath and smiled.

"I'm relaxed now. Bryan is watching his favorite cartoon in his room you can join him. I'm going to my room to get ready for brunch". I said making my way to my room when Brandon gripped my wrist and pulled me back.

"How about I join you while you change? I can even help you to get dress". He said placing feathers like kisses on my shoulder to my neck.

I felt my something clenching inside my stomach. My eyes went shut when he nipped on the skin of my neck while his hand was running slowly up and down on my bare arm.

"Brandon that's not a good idea". I said breathless.

"I think it's the best idea". He said dragging me to my room.

I was already cursing myself for not able to resist his idea.

He shut the door of my room and walked to me like he is a predator and I'm his prey.

"Brandon". I mumbled when he was breath away from me.

Placing his hands on my waist he pulled me closer and placed his lips on mine.

My hands instantly went around his neck and I pulled him closer to have a better access.

His lips lit some kind fire inside me.

Our lips moved in sync with each other. His tongue teased mine while I took the time to leisurely explore the softness of his sensual lips.

I didn't know when his hand went inside my camisole and started massaging my breast.

The gasp escaped from my mouth and we pulled away. Brandon threw my camisole on the floor leaving me in my nude bra.

"F*ck". He mumbled and picked me up.

I wrapped my legs around his legs and he pressed my back behind on the wall.

"How do you manage to look sexy in anything?". He asked in his husky voice, running his nose on my collarbone.

My breath hitched.

"My hair is resembling to a freaking nest and I'm dressed in SpongeBob pajamas. You think it's sexy?". I asked him.

"I think it's very sexy". Brandon said toying with the waistline of my pajamas.

His hand leisurely made his way up on my stomach.

"Brandon I ... I think I should get ready". I mumbled.

Instead of answering me he kissed the center of my cleavage making me close my eyes.

I gripped his shoulder and threw my head back in ecstasy.

He kissed his way from the center of the cleavage to my neck then stopped near my ear.

"I think you should get ready for the brunch otherwise we'll be late". He said.

My eyes flew open and he put my wobbly legs back down.

I stood breathless and glared at him.

"Okay fine I'm going to take shower". I said and flipped my hair then stormed inside the bathroom.

He smirked and waved at me mouthing "bye".

I showed him my middle finger with very sarcastic smile on my face and shut the bathroom door.

I heard him laughing.

Ignoring his booming laughter, I started showering.

When I came out from the washroom I found a white knee-length dress laid out on my bed. It was beautiful.

Madeline's Dress

I dried myself with the towel and put the dress on. It looked perfect on me. I blow-dried then twisting some hair I pin them on the both sides of my head.

After applying a minimal amount of makeup I was done. I picked up my bag and put my cellphone and hotel key inside it then I wiggled my feet in my brown flats.

I made my way to the Bryan room and found both son and father watching cartoon.

Sometimes It feels like that the five years old Brandon is still alive somewhere inside this tough man.

"How am I looking?". I asked Bryan and Brandon.

"Like an angel". Both of them said simultaneously.

We all looked at each other than burst into giggles.

Then we decided to leave for the brunch.

After twenty minutes of drive we arrived outside Brandon's parents house.

"It is where my surprise is?". Bryan asked staring at the house.

"Yeah". Brandon said making Bryan jump in the car to get out.

Brandon placed a hand on my lap and said "Just be yourself and relax for God's sake!" Brandon said.

"I'm fine, I'm relax. How does my hair look? I'm not overly dress, am I?". I asked him making him laugh.

He helped Bryan to get out of the car while I struggled with the seat belt.

"You need to calm down, love. You're looking perfect, our son is looking cute". Brandon said unbuckling my seat belt and pulling me out from the car.

We made our to back where have a large swimming pool.

"Your house is still as beautiful as before I left". I mumbled in Brandon's ear.

"Yes, it's still beautiful. My parents love is the reason that this house still looks beautiful". He said.

"True". I said.

Bryan was walking beside us staring at everything with wonderment in his eyes.

Suddenly a some guy came running to us.

He looked like someone I knew.

"What are you doing here, Eric?". Brandon said.

"You are Eric?". I asked him shock.

"Yes my lady I'm Eric Edwards at your service". He said bowing down.

"You're so grown-up". I said in a shock and ruffled his hair.

"You've grown up too. You are looking gorgeous". Eric said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Thank you". I said.

Eric attention then went to Bryan and he said "Wow Brandon. Your son looks exactly like you".

Bryan head snapped at Eric's direction.

"Hi, buddy. I'm Eric". Eric said kneeling down and shaking Bryan's hand.

"Hi, I'm Bryan". My son said with the smile.

"Bryan I heard you like drawing and painting". Eric said making Bryan nod his head.

"Do you want to see the things I draw?". Eric asked to Bryan.

Bryan looked at me and I nodded.

Eric picked Bryan up in his arms and went inside the house leaving me and Brandon to make our way alone to the backyard.

"Brandon, why does it feel like you are hiding something from me?". I asked him.

He was acting suspicious.

"I might have forgotten to mention about Bryan to my parents". Brandon said making me freeze in my track.

"How could you forget something so important. You didn't tell them anything deliberately". I said feeling a fainting spell.

"I'm sorry Madeline. I just wanted your support when I'll tell them about Bryan". Brandon said making my heart soften.

"Okay. Let's go and face it". I said intertwining our hands.

We reached to the pool and Elena yelled from the other side "Maddy".

I looked at a beautiful slim girl running towards me. Her brown hair were shining under the daylight. She was smiling when she launched herself on me, hugging me tightly.

Although I forgot how to breathe for a second but I knew that Brandon was supporting my back.

"What the hell Elena? Leave her before you kill her". Brandon hissed while trying his best to detach Elena's strong arms from around my neck.

"OMG! I can't believe it, you're back. My Maddy is back". Elena yelled in excitement.

She took the step back freeing from her tight hug.

"Thank you, Elena for such a warm welcome". I said hugging her and patting her back.

"I'm so happy. I missed you so much". Elena said hugging me again.

I patted her back then detached myself from her.

"You've grown-up into a beautiful girl". I said.

She grinned at me.

Brandon's mom and dad made there way towards us.

Aunt Hailey looked at me with tears shining in her eyes.

"Madeline, how are you dear?". She asked me.

I felt cracking from inside after hearing the same warmth in her voice that she held in the past.

I launched myself in her arms and hugged her. Being taller than her my hands were around her neck.

"I missed you Aunt, Hailey. I missed your hugs". I mumbled making her laugh.

"We all missed your company in the house. You were like my daughter and I am happy that you are back". She said running her hand on my back in a calming manner.

I wiped the tear that fell down from my eyes.

"Sorry we ladies are sometimes emotional". Aunt Hailey mumbled dabbing her own eyes with tissue.

"Yeah, I'm used to it now". Brandon's dad mumbled.

"Hi". I said to Mr.Edward.

"Hello dear, welcome back to the family". He said shaking my hand.

"Thanks". I said.

I looked at Brandon who was staring at us with wide smile.

"Brandon and I need to tell you something". I said to make the revelation less dramatic.

They stared me with confusion.

I opened my mouth to tell them about Bryan when Eric came out with him in his arms.

Bryan wiggle out from Eric's arms and came running to us.

"Mommy, Eric has paints and he showed me his drawings. They are so good". Bryan said coming to me and grinning at Eric.

Eric smiled at us.

Brandon parents stared at Bryan with wide eyes.

Talk about being less dramatic.

"Bryan come here I want you to meet your grandparents". Brandon said picking up Bryan in his arms and moving closer to his parents.

"Where is Ma and Pa?". Bryan asked looking around for my parents.

"No, I'm not talking about your mom's parent. She's my mom and your grandma and he is my dad means your granddad". Brandon said making aunt Hailey gasp.

"Say hello to your grandparents". Brandon mumbled in Bryan's ear.

My son grew up in a loving family so he always smile while meeting to new people. He is not shy and awkward when it comes to talking to strangers.

"Hello Grandma and Grandpa". Bryan said.

Brandon placed him on the ground and he ran towards Aunt Hailey and hugged her legs.

She was frozen in shock.

But Aunt Hailey and Mr.Edwards didn't say anything making me nervous as hell.
