Madhuravani found herself in front of the guy who held a flute and smiled brightly at her, even the sun might fear having competition. While Madhuravani, also called Vani, stared at him, slightly confused.

Madhuravani looked at the rain from her window. "What a weather," she thought as it rained cats and dogs, making puddles in her garden. Vani smiled brightly as an idea struck her mind.
She ran up to her parent's room and came down with a bunch of papers. "Avani! You might catch a cold," her mother warned. Madhuravani's brain abruptly put the brakes on her legs. Madhuravani looked at her mother. "Avani-?" she whispered to herself, feeling a huge familiarity with the name.
"Whose name is it?" she asked with a confused look on her face. "Huh? Avani is your name, Madhuravani to Avani!" Sanjana, her mother, explained, wondering when her daughter got memory issues.
"Just like that, Vani, Madhu-" before Sanjana could finish, Vani frowned and replied, "Yeah, yeah, now I'll go and play, Janani!" Vani hopped away like a child.
"Either she'll break her leg or catch a cold," Sanjana sighed, shrugging off her recent odd behavior.
Madhuravani found herself a puddle. She sat on the grass, definitely staining her saree. She didn't care much about it and started to make paper boats. Under the tree, a few rain droplets still landed on her face.
"My dear ship, set sail and irritate my Bhadra," she sent her ship, which drowned as soon as it took sail. "Shall I name you Titanic?" Vani sighed.
"But what's a Titanic?" she questioned herself, confused by her own words. She shrugged it off and started building more boats.
Soon her father, Bhaskara, finance minister of Kaikeyi kingdom, returned home to see his daughter just doing her chores, like a monkey just doing its job.
He walked in front of her. Madhuravani saw him, stood up, joined her hands, and greeted, "Pranaam, pitashri," just like children greeting their teachers in Indian schools.
"What are you doing?" her father questioned. "Making paper boats, pitashri!" she answered with mud-covered hands. "Is it useful?" he questioned with a strict glare.
She fluttered her eyes diligently and nodded no. He just sighed, "Can't you do something useful?" he started with a base for his building of a lecture.
"Shall I go and work somewhere, pitashri?" she offered with her big doe eyes. Her father sighed, even if someone gave work to her daughter, they will go bankrupt in days.
"No need," he stated after a deep sigh. "And," he continued with a glare. Madhuravani was tensed. Did her father find out that she often greeted her friend, Princess Bhadra, by climbing her wall? Did he find out that she stole grapes from the royal garden? What did he find out?
"What did you do?" he inquired in a stern tone. "I woke up and ate food, then some fruits, then some sweets, then some dry fruits-" while explaining her daily routine, she received a deadly stare from her father.
Her father found out how the household ration was ending so soon. "Pitashri! I just freed the hunter's birds," she replied with innocent eyes.
"In which way, my dear daughter?" he sarcastically questioned. "I threw some flour in his eyes, then hit him with a stick and then freed those poor birds," she narrated her bravery.
"I already paid him. Tell me, how did you annoy Vasudev Shree Krishna?" her father shouted. Madhuravani turned around, realizing she was the one her father was questioning.
"I didn't do anything, pitashri!" she argued. "Then why did he ask to see you?" her father interrogated. Every inch of her was trembling, but not from the cold. Out of all the problems she created, she'd get scolded for something she didn't do, or did she forgot any of her mischief ?
Bhaskar took a deep breath. "Fine," he actually believed and left to have his lunch, wondering why Dwarka's administrator Shree Krishna wanted to meet a monkey-he meant his daughter.
As the sun was going down, Madhuravani roamed around, jumping in puddles and staining her already stained dress even more. "Madhuravani!" her father called her. She ran towards him at Hussain Bolt speed.
"Yes, pitashri," she answered, panting heavily. "Get ready, we'll be going to the royal palace." Bhaskar said before leaving. Just as he left, her Janani pulled her and inquired, "What did you do?"
"Janani, wait! I am trying to remember too!" she pondered. At that moment, her mother glared at her. "You've been busy doing so many mistakes, now you don't even know what you did!" her Janani scoffed. Madhuravani pouted. "Now go and get ready!" her mother screamed.
Yes, Madhuravani herself wasn't sure what she did. Now she was reciting her mistakes, the problems she created, even before entering the royal castle.
She sighed in relief. "Yes," she didn't do anything. She did, but none of her mistakes or problems she made led to annoying Krishna. Or maybe-
Her father was greeted by some ministers regarding some work. Of course, Vani wasn't interested, so she left for the royal garden.
The clouds were finally letting the sun go. Vani walked aimlessly.
"Madhuri," a voice called her. Even though it wasn't her name, she was sure someone called her.
She turned around to see no one. She looked around and started searching for him. "Madhuri!" he greeted, smiling in front of her.

Madhuravani found herself in front of the guy who held a flute and smiled brightly at her, even the sun might fear having competition. She looked at him and said, "My name is Madhuravani, not Madhuri!"
"I know, Madhuri," he chuckled, walking towards her. Vani looked at him in confusion. "My name is Madhuravani!" she complained.
"Yes, Madhuri, I know," he spoke in a serene tone. "Shankara!" she whined. He laughed. At that moment, the sun shone brightly, and all his jewelry on his chest, along with his sweet smile, radiated.
"Who are you?" she questioned, lost in his eyes, which reflected the whole universe. He again smiled.
"Madhuri, you are here to know about yourself," he replied.
"Eh?" she faltered. He looked at her and nodded. "Yes," he replied. "About me? What do you know about me?" Vani taunted.
He smiled and looked at her. "I know that you are not from here," he shared. "What rubbish are you speaking!" she yelled in confusion and started to leave.
"Avani Kancherla, born in Andhra Pradesh, 2008. An atheist, your dream was always to be a renowned scientist. Everyone you trusted left you behind. You had no one; you just had dreams of your past," he narrated.
