the weekend came by slowly, but when it did, i always took my late night walks alone. they were a nice change of atmosphere from my fancy home. i usually took a walk around seoul every night.

but tonight was rare.

i sat on a bench near a popular internet cafe and took time to observe the sky. i'm a sucker for astronomy, so when i saw a pretty constellation in the sky that i hadn't seen before, i gasped when i saw it and stared a little longer. i could've sat there all night, until a deep voice shook me from my thoughts.

"mayuree, was it?"

mingi from class took a seat beside me and joined me. he asked, "the sky is pretty, isn't it?"

"yeah, i haven't ever seen sadalsuud star in person before." i pointed to the stars.

mingi chuckled and asked, "the luck of lucks?"

i whipped my head to him in shock. i was surprised that mingi was interested in astronomy like me. "impressive. how'd you know that?"

"i took astronomy last year and it interested me." he said. i nodded and sighed, saying, "we must be pretty lucky to see that star, then."

he nodded and stood up suddenly. i turned to him. mingi asked, "i know a good spot to look at the stars in the park. wanna come?"

i looked at my shoes, flustered. "uh, okay, mingi."
