𝙘𝙤𝙗𝙧𝙖 𝙠𝙖𝙞 𝙛𝙞𝙘

Cat had to miss training at the dojo as she had to take her little sister to her doctor's appointment since Julieta and Carter had to work and they figured she could miss one day of karate. When she had told Johnny, he obviously wasn't that too thrilled about it but he said that she'd always make up for it everyday when she trains more than anyone at the dojo.

Cat had a lot on her mind. From Scott coming back and totally being a jerk to her, she couldn't shake the things that he had said to her. Surely he wasn't right and he just was mad and took it out on her.

"Cat.." Getting pulled out of her trance was a nurse in front of her. She blinked, "Yes. Sorry yes."

She gave her little chuckle, "Just a couple things, when we took her blood test last week and got her results back. She has an abnormal amount of red blood cells in her which is an indication of leukemia."

Her gaze faltered and looked right where Jo was laying after the many hours of testing and being in the office. She really couldn't believe that's what it was. Jo had been feeling very tired these past days with fevers but Cat just thought it was just Jo getting sick but not like that.

She frowned, "Cancer? I don't understand."

The nurse nodded sympathetically, "Cancer is very complex. But in this case and in most cases it's from genetics that unfortunately may of been passed down to Jo." Cat let out a couple of weary breaths.

"Will she be okay?" Cat pondered quickly.

"It's hard to tell right now. But we just caught it at the right time, we will get her into chemotherapy right away and start her treatment."

She didn't even want to think of the outcome. "Thanks." She groaned loudly when she left. What was she going to do she thought, she had no idea what her mom was going to think. She couldn't even imagine what her little sister was feeling and probably confused about everything.

Walking out with Jo's paperwork and Jo in her arms as she was sleeping still, they had finally made it back home.

Cat was constantly looking in the rear mirror to check when Jo would wake up. Julieta already found out the news from the doctors after they had called her.

An incoming phone call came through her phone, answering the call once she was it was her boyfriend. "Hey. I just finished the appointment but do you think we can meet another day. I'm just not feeling good."

Clearly lying. "Sure. Everything okay?"

"Yeah. I'll see you later" she answered.

Cat even completely forgot to tell her boyfriend about her ex stopping by but she made sure would tell him soon. She had to stop and drop off Jo back at her house since her parents were home.

As Cat looked at the time she noticed that she couldn't even make it to practice even if she wanted to but she was on the way to see her girlfriends. Which she was excited because she hadn't seen them in a long time.

Once she had entered the restaurant when she saw them all sitting down clearly chatting, Cat went straight ahead when they all turned their attention.

Yelping at her, "Cat!" Cat had beamed at her friends who all were more then excited to see her,

Hugging each girl, she had been happy to see. "I missed you all! How was the trip?" Cat asked really wondering about how everything went, all of her friends had been invited out to visit Scott out in his football games that he had played in.

They went and stayed for a while as an early summer vacation which Cat obviously did not want to go. They all felt bad about even thinking about going but Cat knew that Scott was also their friend and she wouldn't ever want to ruin their lives.

"It was good. Wish you would've went." Gia stated a little bummed that she didn't get to go, the rest of the girl had stayed quiet. They all felt a sort of guilt, it had felt like they chose Scott over her.

"Well not sure if that would've been a good idea. It's okay, I'm okay." She reassured her friends.

Maeve gave her a soft smile, "That's good."

"I'm actually seeing Beau." She told them whispering the last part, all heads slowly turned at her when they dropped their food onto their plates.

Cat grew small at them all looking at her, "Pierce?" Kinsley, had hummed at her friend because she knew all about how Beau and Scott weren't exactly the most friendliest to each other.

She nodded, "Wait what. How?" Furrowing her brown eyebrows at her,

"I know okay. You don't need to make me feel like a horrible person, Scott already did that." She muttered.

"Wait he's back in town?" Maeve added.

"I guess. He stopped by and basically yelled."

Gia jumping up, "Oh nah. Cat you can't be caught up in this, i thought you had feelings for him still?"

"I dont know. But he left me, why is that so hard to understand." Cat snapped at them when she looked down in embarrassment because she was supposed to have a great lunch with them but she didn't know what happened.

"We know." Gia said leaning to grab her friends hands to know that they knew what she was feeling, rubbing her hand slowly.

"We just don't want you to get hurt again." Maeve and kinsley both nodding in agreement.

"He yelled at you? Hell no." Kinsley spoke out grabbing her phone and sending out a text as Cat grew very anxious about what she was doing, Kinsley and Gia had always been protective of all of their friends so it was no surprise.

Scott had been on the Torres' mind more then she'd like, she was very conflicted in what had happened to her recently, to say she was really not focused was completely true. That didn't stop her from getting back into her training, obviously her sister was on her mind but she did her best to keep on going.

She had been told to be at the corner of Fulton and Raymer at 5 in the morning. When she had gotten that text message from her sensei, he surely wasn't serious but she didn't even want to poke him.

Telling him ok.

Cat had picked up Miguel, Eli and Aisha up and they all had told her everything that happened while she was gone. Clearly not the happiest but what could she do.

Groaning out when she saw cement, walking out towards Johnny and some of the students he looked up. "Welcome back." Johnny muttered at her.

"Great." Sighing at him.

Telling them that they all needed to mix up cement, Cat grabbed the hose while spraying the cement as Eli kept adding the dry cement. "Why are we- Keep stirring." Cutting her off.

A few minutes later a cement truck had came rolling as they all turned their heads towards the beeping,

Back at Miyagi do - Scott had gotten ready to practice with Sam and Robby as he reached towards Sam who was working on the wheel technique. As she kept on grunting each time since she wasn't getting it quite right.

"Hey Sam." He greeted.

"Hey Scott." She sighed.

Scott had a frown plastered onto his face. Sam gave him a chuckle, "It's not you, I just can't get this right."

Robby came into view walking towards him, "Why don't you ask.. hey man. Do you remember what direction it was supposed to go?" Gesturing towards Sam.

Robby shook his head, "I don't remember. What's the point? This stupid dance won't help us any way." Scoffing at them walking away, Scott and Sam both standing in confusion.

Sam's face faltered. "Maybe he is having a bad day." Scott presumed shrugging.

Scott walked out with Sam towards the back,

Daniel had caught up with him leaving Sam to train with Robby. "Hey, you ready for another day?" Daniel chuckled when Scott had let out a smile, "What do you got for me?"

Daniel laughed. "I love to see it." Clapping his hands together.

"I want you to show me what we have been working on." He spoke.

"Show me 'sanding the floor'" Scott had done the movement as Daniel went to kick him as Scott had blocked each attempt. Daniel had done that until he saw that Scott had blocked enough.

"Good work. Maybe in a few days or so you'd will be able to get started on the wheel technique." He gave Scott a quick pat on his shoulder before walking out towards Sam.

He yelled out, "Wait. Mr. LaRusso."

Daniel looked behind, "Daniel is fine. Do you need something?"

Scott sighed lowly, "I don't know much about you and Cat but if it's any consolation, I think you are doing your best." Daniel smiled at the boy.

"Thank you. And I don't know much of you two but I'm sorry you broke up. Sam told me a bit." Daniel replied.

He nodded. "I never meant to hurt her. I would never."

"I know. Just give her time, that's what I've been trying to." Scott thanked him before walking out to go back home with his family.

All the students at Cobra Kai had been all gathered near Sensei Lawrence as he was giving them a talk, "You think you winning the All Valley gives you the right to good off? Well, I got news for you. Winning one championship doesn't mean squat."

"A true champion never stops training. You gotta keep moving forward... or else you could get stuck where you are." He added looking at them all.

"It's like the cement in this truck. That drum doesn't start turning, the cement will harden and get stuck."

Cat glanced at her team mates, "Is that what you want to happen to you?"

"No, Sensei!"

"Good. Then climb up, get inside and make it spin."

Firstly Cat had seen many flaws to the request but as she looked around, she saw no one even wanting to go in. Aisha first started, "Sensei, we're sorry for messing around."

Johnny didn't want to hear any of that. Grabbing the ladder and pulling it down, "Get in!"

Cat paused, "This seems dangerous. I mean, the fumes alone- -" she started to speak when a loud voice came out from the other direction.

"Quiet!" She turned with furrowed eyebrows close together.

Looking to see the older man, giving him a hard glance it was more that she didn't know who he was and what he was doing. She hadn't even acknowledged his presence but she had already thought that she didn't like him.

"This man led you to the mountaintop, and you question him?" He spoke out to them.

"Look at you. Look at all of you. I can't believe this pathetic pack of pussies competed in the All Valley, and let alone won and came third." Looking straight at Cat and Miguel.

Cat kept her gaze towards the older man. "It's an absolute miracle. And who's responsible for the miracle?"

Cat let out a sigh, loud enough for everyone to turn around to her direction. John Kreese had turned to see her as she looked at him once he went to step towards her. Johnny tensed up from his spot, putting out a hand in front of the older man.

Cat just stood at her spot. "Don't." Johnny told her, not wanting anything to go on between them. She rolled her eyes because no way she was going to take this from some guy.

Miguel grabbed her shoulder, "The best student in history of Cobra Kai. My student."

"You were Sensei's sensei?" Hawk asked him.

"You better believe it, kid. And I'll tell you I've never trained a tougher student in my whole life." He spoke out.

Walking up towards Cat, "So if you don't think what I'm saying is true and honestly believe you are the best. You better listen to every goddamn word he says."

Cat looked at her teammates, "I'll do it." Following Miguel when her sensei had given her a nod.

Following Miguel up the steps, she stepped in once she saw the wet cement on the bottom of the mixer. Almost slipping each step she took but she did end up slipping but got up immediately as others were joining her.

"This better come off." Glaring at the cement.

"I'll help you get it off." Miguel offered sending her a smile her way to she smiled back loving how sweet Miguel would be in difficult situations.

"Thanks Mig."

Johnny came up, "Don't just stand there. You wanna get stuck? Move!"

She was already getting irritated, "We are going!" Yelling at him as he gave her an annoyed look back.

They all worked on to push the mixer, it was very difficult to do as they kept on slipping. Miguel pushing them to move the mixer but as they moved the mixer eventually, slowly but they were still doing it.

Growing at the same time, each time they had moved it, it had looked even more faster as everyone once in awhile kept falling.

"We are doing it!"

"Go faster!"

Cat didn't really respond back because she had been so focused on getting the mixer to turn each time, all of them getting more speed done then before.

Hearing faint cheers from their sensei and teammates.

Cat had stepped down, carefully so she wouldn't fall, some of the boys had offered to hold her hand while she would go outside.

"Thanks."

Everyone had gotten a turn to go in the mixer and once Johnny had he sprayed each student with the hose, Cat giggling once the water had trickled down her face.
