transfiguration and homework !

CHAPTER THREE
transfiguration and homework

SOMETHING JOSEPHINE HAD ALWAYS LOVED ABOUT HOGWARTS was the Gryffindor Common room, it was large, comfy and just had this relaxing effect on her. After those six years at the school she felt like it was home.

In the very late evening, all the Gryffindor students made their way into their commen room, loud chattering and laughers filled the room and the many seethrough ghosts flew over the heads of the teenagers, only to disappear quickly into the next red wall.

The bright fire burned in the camin that laid on the left side of the room, infront of the many red couches. A wide smile made it's way onto Josi's pink lips as she started to make her way through the crowd of people.

In the distance the brunette could hear Lily's loud voice shouting over the heads of the students, "First years over here!" The brunette teenage girl stepped onto the first level of the stairs that lead to the girl's Domitory's and turned towards the crowd again, just as Marlene approached her.

The blond placed an arm over her shoulder while she sighed happyly, "I love Hogwarts." The two continued to watch the students before they spotted Mary and Dorcas waving at them while they approached them from afar.

As the two girls had finally reached them both smilied widely. "Hey girls! How was your summer?", Dorcas questioned them excited and Marlene immediately took a step forward and hugged the girl while she began to rammble on about her Holiday. The blond grabbed the dark skinned girl by her arm and dragged her towards one of the couches before they sat down together.

Mary and Josi exchanged a knowing look as they slowly turned towards each other chuckling, "So Mary, how have you been?" The two sat down on the steps as they watched Lily and Remus, who both tried to gather the first years, looking completely stressed out.

"Oh, I've been very good actually, until the Prewett's decided to play a prank on Dorcas and I." Mary gave her an annoyed look as she placed her head into her palm and leaned onto her knee with her elbow.

Josi let out a quiet laugh, "You know they love you. Don't be angry with them, Mary." The girl let out a loud huff as Josi nudged her shoulder against her's. "Just wait, when I see the two again they're dead people", Mary told her as she let her gaze wander around the room.

"I think they are over there with James and Sirius", Josi said as she spotted the two sitting in the big armchairs as Sirius and James laid on a couch laughing at something Fabian had just said.

Mary immediatley jumped onto her feet and dashed through the crowd of people, disappearing behind a couple of third year's. Josi chuckled again as she got up from the wooden stairs, the girl slowly turned around and made her way up towards the domitorys.

"Okay, guys! Time to go to your Domitory's! We don't want Professor McGonnagell to see that we're all still up!", Lily's soft voice could be heard from down stairs, making Josephine stop in her trail as she looked over her shoulder at the mass of people that slowly got up from the couches and armchairs to make their way upstairs as well.

The brunette quickly contiued her way upstairs and walked down the long corridor until she reached the rooms for the sixth year's. On the third door on the left side were four names written on the door. "Lily Evans, Alice Fortescue, Marlene McKinnon and Josephine Potter", the brunette read out loud before she slowly opened the door, revealing a big round room.

It had white curtains that hung infront of the big windows which were on each side of the walls, four beds with red covers stood on each others opposite and the room was only lit by a couple of candels that stood on a shelf, giving the room a comfortable look.

Josephine immediately grabbed her big trunk that someone had placed behind the door and made her way over to the bed that stood next to the big window. The brunette just loved it when she could watch the stars by night.

Just as the girl had sat down on her bed the door flew open again revealing Marlene, Lily and Alice who immediately stormed into the room. Marlene quickly run towards the bed that stood on Josi's opposite and shouted loudly, "Mine!"

Lily let herself fall onto the bed that was next to Josephine and Alice took the bed that stood nearest to the bathroom, next to Marlene. "I've got a good feeling about this year", Josi told the other's as they all smiled at each other, the moon lightening up the room as the light of the candels danced over the faces of the tierd girls.

The four had decided to unpack their bags in the morning and it wasn't long until Josi's eye lids got slowly pretty heavy and closed, making her go into a deep and peacful sleep.

The very next morning Josephine sat in the Great Hall watching the light stream in from the windows on the backwalls and the sun shining from the celling. She had always admired the architecture of the Castle, it was beautiful.

The group girls were almost finished with their breakfast when the marauders sprinted through the big doors of the Great hall. The Hall was pretty empty which was typical for this late in the morning but those who were still there watched the four boys interested.

A couple of girls stared dreamily at them, while the smaller boys started whispering to each other as they had admiring looks plastered on their faces.

Immediately Josi could hear how the students at the Gryffindor table started whispering. Josephine rolled with her eyes as she bit into her jam toast. It kind of annoyed her that so many girls had their eye on Sirius Black, because she just didn't understand what it was that was so special about this boy.

Yeah, even Josi couldn't deny that Sirius Black looked absolutely perfect as he walked down the Great hall. His shirt loosely hanging over his pants, the top buttons open as his tie hung loosely around his neck. He carried his brown bag over his right shoulder while his dark hair hung into his face making him run his hand through it.

Josephine stared at the boy for a moment but as she realized what she was doing the girl immediately shook her head and looked back at her plate. Lily had noticed Josi's look and nudged her in the side drawing the brunette's attention towards her.

The girl blushed immediately and looked at Marlene, who only wiggled her eyebrows making Alice laugh so hard that she almost spat out her pumpkin juice.

Josi rolled with her eyes, "Oh, shut up you guys, that was nothing!", she exclaimed as she started to hit Lily with the schedule that Professor Mcgonagall had brought them earlier that morning.

"Oi, why are you hitting my poor Lilypad?", James questioned his twin in horror while he squeezed in-between the redhead and Josi, who both shot him a very annoyed glare.

"I'm not your Lily, James!", the readhead immediately pointed out while she rolled her green eyes and grumply bit into her toast. James let out a deep breath and looked questioningly at his twin that just waved him off, "Nothing for you to worry about, my dear brother."

She patted his shoulder assuring as she streched her hand out for the pumpkin juice that stood right infront of Marlene. James took that chance and grabbed her jam bread from her plate, eating the whole thing. Josephine gave her brother a death glare before she slowly turned around to grab another toast from the little basket that stood to her right.

Only now Josi noticed that the other Marauders had also joined them in the meantime, Peter sat next to Marlene across from Josi while Remus was seated in between the blond boy and Alice, who was in a deep conversation with Frank.

Josi furrowed her dark brown eyebrows, as she let her gaze wander over her friends, someone was missing, a certaint black haired boy with an ego as large as a mountain.

The girl slowly opened her mouth as suddenly a deep and husky voice addressed her from her right, "Looking for me, Love?"

"By merlins beard!", the brunette shouted at him while she hit her leg on the table, making a really strong pain ran through it as she clenched her jaw and rubbed her knee. The brunette squeezed her eyes shut while she could hear Sirius chuckle quietly from besides her. "I'm so sorry Josi, that really wasn't my intention", he apologized to her, his voice still low and sleepy while he handed the girl another toast as a peace offering.

The teenage girl eyed him for a short moment, she wasn't used to him speaking with her normally, almost like they were friends. The girl began to chuckle lightly as she slowly grabbed the toast from his hand, "It's all right, Black. And no actually, I wasn't looking for you".

The last apart was definitely a lie and she was pretty sure he knew that too, so she avoided eye contact and took a sip from her juice.

Sirius slided closer towards her and leaned in, making Josi look at him surprised, their faces were only centimeters apart and Josi's breath immediately hitched in her throat as she stared into his grey stormy eyes. The black haired boy noticed this and his stupid signiture smirk was back on his face as he quietly whispered, "You, Josephine Potter are a terrible liar." He slid back were he had sat before and reached for another toast, pretending like he hadn't just completely invaded her personal space.

The girl turned towards Marlene who had watched the conversation between the two interisted, "Can I have the Jam, please?", she questioned the blond who immediately nodded and handed her the glas.

"We have almost all subjects together", Sirius exclaimed excited from besides her making the brunette look at him in surprise, the boy had grabbed her schedule and was now comparing all of their classes together.

There was a very strange feeling in the brunette's stomach which made her looked down onto the table, "Really?", she questioned him as casually as she could while she opened the jam glas. "Yeah, and it looks like we are the only two that have astronomy", the boy explained to her while he placed her schedule back on the table.

"Wonderful", Josi muttered sarcastically under her breath. She glanced at him and noticed that Sirius was already looking at her with a smalls smirk on his face, which made the girl a little nervous.

She turned towards Remus who had just put his book down, "Remus, we didn't talked that much yesterday, that book you gave to me. It was absolutely beautiful written, I loved it. Thank you for letting me read it."

The sandy haired boy looked at her with a big smile on his lips, "I knew you would like it!" The brunette chuckled as she nodded at him happyly, "Yeah. I'll bring it to your Domitory in the next few days if that's okay with you?" Remus nodded his head as he looked a little irretaded behind her as he nodded, "Yeah- that would be great."

Marlene let out a snort as Josephine quickly spun around and eyed Sirius who still sat besids her giving her a large smile. She furrowed her eyebrows before she casually tossed her bag over her shoulder and stood up.

Her friends watched her confused as she got up from her seat, "Where are you going Jo?", Alice questioned with an irritated expression on her face.

"Transfiguration is starting in 10 Minutes so I'm on my way to McGonnagells Classroom, you should be as well", the brunette explained to the group making them all realise how late it already it was. The girls, Remus and Peter immediadtley got up and made their way out of the Greate Hall as quickly as they could, while Sirius and James stayed behind finishing their Breakfast in peace.

Half an hour later Josephine sat next to Lily in the third row of the Transfiguration class room as she was in the middle of learning the Avis Charm. The Potter girl had just raised her wand to try the spell again as suddenly the large wooden door flew open, revealing James and Sirius who strolled in.

"Mr.Potter, Mr.Black you are 20 minutes late", McGonagall stated while she looked over her halfmoon glasses. She slowly made her way through the classroom as every student followed her with his gaze.

"Minie, we're very sorry!", James exclaimed dramatically throwing his hands into the air as he slided into his usual seat in the last row, Sirius right next to him with his feet on the table. Josi could only shake her head by the sight of the two, they would definitely get into trouble and it was only the first day of school.

"Detention, both of you!", McGonagall said while she turned around and walked back towards the front. "Oh and Mister Black, feet's of the Tabel, now!"

Sirius gave her a shocked look as he sat up in his chair, "But Minnie-!" The teacher just shot him another strict glare, "Mr. Black if you don't want to spent your quidditch try outs in Detention I suggest you stay quiet."

The Black boy leaned back in his chair again and made an annoyed face as he crossed his arms over his chest. The lesson seemed to last forever but as it was finally finished Josephine quickly grabbed her things and left the classroom after Lily and Marlene who were already gone.

The brunette had her books in her arm as she walked down the large hall of the castle, the sun shone through the thick pillars and she could hear the many voices of the students that surrounded her.

She pushed through the crowd of teenagers as suddenly an arm wrapped around her shoulders, making the girl look up at no other than James, who smile down at his twin.

"What's up Jo?" Josephine frowned at him immediately as she narrowed her eyes at James. "What do you want?" James shrugged with his shoulders, "I don't want anything, I just wanted to remind you that Quidditch try outs are at Saturday."

The brunette boy smiled at her before he let go of Josephine and made his way into the other direction towards Sirius, Remus and Peter, his hands stuffed into his trouser pockets. The other three boy's waved at her quickly before they followed after James who had already rounded the corner.

Josephine looked after them for a moment, her book still in her arms before she rolled her eyes and contiued her way towards the Charms classroom.

"IT'S THE BLOODY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND THEY already giving homework", Marlene exclaimed annoyed while they sat in a quiet corner of the libary. Josephine raised her finger into the air as she sighed, "That I didn't miss."

The brunette cupped her cheek with her right hand as she leaned onto the table and tried to blow a brunette hair strand out of her face. In that moment Lily sat down besides her, her nose in a book. The redhead didn't even looked up to sit down and Josi gave her a weird look before she spotted Alice, who approached them while waving her hand as she hurried through the libary.

"No running!", the scrany voice of Ms. Price let the small brunette girl flinch in surpise before she muttered a quiet apology and continued her way over to her group of friends slowly.

Josephine gave her a smile when Alice sat down on her opposite and placed her books onto the table. "I just love Herbology", the brunette sighed dreamily as she let out a deep sighed. Marlene frowned as she closed her book, "If you ask me Herbology is the lamest thing ever."

Josephine kicked her against her leg which made Marlene let out a whimper, "Ow!"

Josephine gave her a pointed look before her gaze fell on Alice again, "I think it's rather interesting." The short brunette gave her a wink which made Alice chuckle. In that moment Frank Longbottom rounded the corner of the library, his bag hanging loosely over his shoulder.

Josephine waved at him from her seat as the boy falshed the group of girls a dashing smile, "Hello, ladies!" They all nodded at the boy while he gave Alice a soft kiss onto the lips. Josephine watched the two while she let out a deep sighed, "Oh Merli! You two are so cute together."

Alice began to chuckle while Marlene rolled her blue eyes, at them, "Barf." Josie's eyes widened as while let out a laugh, "Bet you wouldn't say that if Dorca-" But Marlene clapped a hand over the brunette's mouth and shushed her immediately with a death glare. "Shut up!"

Josephine put her hands up in surrender as she mumbled a quiet, "Okay", against Marlene's palm.

Frank who had a frown on his face eyed the four as he raised an eyebrow, "What are you lot doing in here?" They all looked up at him in syncrony with a rather dark look on their faces as Marlene let out a grumble, "Homework."

"We tried to pay Lily but she denies to make our's as well", Josi explained to the boy who now looked over at Lily who still had her nose in that book, her eyes darting over the pages like the scentences she just read where the most interesting thing in the whole world. Josi let out a deep sighed before grabbed Lily's book out of the redheads hands.

"Oi! Give me that, Jo!", the girl immediately exclaimed as she tried to snatch her book back, making everyone look at them. Many heads turned and a couple of students put their finger over their mouths, warning them to be quiet. Lily's face went tomato red and she quickly sat down, quitting to try and get her book back.

Josephine let out a chuckle, "Lil's I have a crisis here. Please help me!" The brunette begged and grabbed onto her friends arm after she had placed the book back onto the table. "All right, all right I'll help you", the prefect assured her friend as she grabbed her book. Her look darkened as she stared at Josi, "But never snatch my book away again."

"Easy killer, I won't."
