CHAPTER ONE
back to hogwarts !

IT WAS A REALLY SUNNY SUNDAY MORNING, A FEW SMALL RAYS of sunshine shone through the large white curtains, which were slightly swaying in the wind.

Josephine's tired and heavy eyelids fluttered open, blinking a few times as the brunette stared at the blank white celling of her cozy bedroom, that was located on the second floor with a breathtaking view over the large garden.

One sunray shone directly into the young girl's face making her groan while she wrinkled her nose.

The brunette held a hand over her eyes, to shield them from the brightness. Josi just wanted to turn around and go back to sleep, but in that moment her gaze fell onto the small brown clock that suddenly chimmed, indicating that it was already nine o'clock.

The girl let out a loud yawn as she sat up and slowly pushed her crimson duvet away, before she jumped out of bed.

A dizzy feeling rushed through the brunette's head making her vision go blurry, but after a short moment she felt normal again.

The teenager hectically opened her big wooden wardrobe that had those beautiful ornaments carved into the door frame. She quickly bend over, quickly picking out a couple of jeans before she started to search through her different T-shirts and jacket's.

She at least decided to go with her black leather jacked, a white shirt with the logo of her favorite band and a pair of blue jeans.

The girl slowly walked over to her calender and took a quick look at it as she continued to listen to the harmonic sounds of the brides, that sat outside in the big tree.

The brunette let out a long sighed before a big smile made it's way onto her face as she eyed the fat red circle that marked the 1st of September.

Josephine exhaled deeply as she muttered under her breath, "Finally!" - the 1st of September meant that Josephine would go back to Hogwarts and see her friends again in less than three hours.

A feeling of pure energy rushed through her body, and with that new found energy she quickly stormed into the bathroom.

The young Potter girl couldn't wait to enter the Hogwarts Express on track 9 3/4, like the last five years. She was excited to catch up with her friends and talk about their exciting holidays.

She really missed them all, to her surprise, she even missed Sirius's arrogant comments which he always threw into their conversation, and that had to say something.

The girls summer Holidays hadn't been that exciting, Euphemia and Fleamont Potter had decided that a relaxed summer would be good for them and their children.

So the whole Potter Family stayed at Godrics Hollow, enjoying the holidays with their large garden that laid behind their mansion.

Don't understand her wrong she loved her parents, but she didn't really liked that her Summer had pretty much consisted out of playing Quidditch with her father or being annoyed by James who tried to speak about Lily everytime he saw her.

Now and then she found the time to read a book that Remus had recommended to her before the summer holidays had started.

So obviously the teenage girl was now all the more happy to see her best friends' Lily, Alice and Marlene again.

Lily had been in France with her parents and Petunia, who was her vile and cruel older sister. If Lily hadn't stopped Josephine, the young brunette would've hexed her in to oblivion by now.

Marlene on the other hand had been somewhere in the warm Italy, visiting her older cousin she told them about and Alice had been completely preoccupied with her new boyfriend Frank Longbottem all summer long. - Frank was a very tall and handsome Gryffindor from their year who was a really nice teenage boy.

Josi eyed herself in the mirror as she stood in the bathroom brushing her teetgh. She thought about how they had all met, she could still exactly remember how she had met Lily, it had been their first year.

The two had met in the Hogwarts Express, Josephine had been actually searching for an empty Compartment to read one of her favorite books. It was just way too loud in her old Compartment because three young boys had asked if they could join her and James.

If the brunette had known that the group of boys would start a somewhat very loud and passionated discussion about which Quidditch team was the best she would have said no to them.

All Compartments had been completely full and everytime she opened a compartment where a couple of older students gave her a confused look, a small blush appeared onto her cheeks.

At least Josephine decided to ask a friendly looking redheaded if she could stay with her. - Lily Evans as the kind person she was, of course let her stay and introduced herself right away.

Josephine smiled as she brushed her brown wavy hair carefully, the girl could also remember that this was the moment where she met Severus Snape for the first time. Not a pleasure if you'd ask her, a shudder ran down her back as she slowly shook her head. The brunette had never liked the slytherin boy, she didn't knew whether it was due to his neglect or his rude manner but she just didn't like him.

The brunette put on some decent perfume as her thoughts wandered off to Alice, the two had met right before their sorting ceremony. Josephine could still remember how nervous Alice had been. The young brunette had immediately realized that Alice was probably a very shy person so she had approach the girl and calmed her nerves about the upcoming ceremony. Since that day the two were really close and always where there for each other.

And last but not least, there was Marlene. Every year Josephine's parents were hosting a very big Christmas Party and the Mckinnons were always invited. Their fathers also knew each other from their work, so Josi had known Marlene practically since she was a little kid.

She had always kind of admired Marlene, the gril was very flirty, determined and really smart. The blond would always get what she wanted and these were characteristics that Josi really liked about her.

Josi yanked her dark wooden door open as the cold air from the hallway hit her face making goose bumps erupt over her whole body.

She stept out of her room and quickly hurried down the stairs, jumping down the last bit with a smile on her face. When she approached the kitchen, she could already hear the familiar sound of her mother, who was already in the kitchen making breakfast for them.

Her father was probably somewhere in the dinning room, reading the Dailyprophet and smoking his usual cigar, like every morning.

Josephine grinned and eavesdroped for a second, she could tell from the complete silence that filled the room that James was as always, still asleep.

The teenager pushed the door open and entered the kitchen, she gave her mother a peck on the cheek and sighed, "Morning."

She sat down on a chair which made Euphemia smiled at her daughter.
Her mother turned back towards the stove and Josi eyed her closely as she poured herself some orange juice. Her mother had gorgeous wavy flowing brown hair that reached her shoulders and a perfect figure for her age.

The grown woman still stood with her back towards the girl before she spun around and placed a couple of eggs onto the table. "Sweetheart could you please wake James up? If he doesn't get up in the next thirty minutes we have to leave without him to Kings Cross."

Josephine rolled her eyes at her mother. "McGonnagell would thank me if I left him here", she muttered making her mother chuckle, but at last she nodded her head and stood up.

"But of course, my dear Mother. Anything for you", she exclaimed dramatically while leaving the kitchen and making her way upstairs towards James room.

As she arrived by the big door of her brother she knocked a couple of times but James didn't let her in, so the girl decided to slowly opened the door herself.

She silently stuck her head through the door and was completely shocked as she saw that the room was a total caos. Clothes laid on the floor and his trunk laid opened in the corner of his room.

Josephine let her gaze wander around and finally spotted James, who was completely hidden under his blue duvet as he let out a couple of loud snors'.

Josephine quietly tiptoed towards James bed and had to hold back her laugher by the scene which was given to her. James fluffy brunette hair was everywhere in his face and he had drool run down his chin as he wrinkled his nose.

The boy breathed heavily and surprisingly didn't woke up from the sounds Josi made as she tried to contain her laugher.

The brunette shook her head at her brother as she walked back towards the big door again. She quickly spun around and started running towards his bed, as she arrived by it she stopped right infront of it and then jumped on him with her full force. "Wake up sleepyhead!"

James immediately shot up from his laying position, his hair still a complete mess as he narrowed his green eyes at his sister, "What in Godric's name!? You couldn't have done this nicer?!", he asked her annoyed before he laid back again and yanked his dulvet to his chin.

Josephine rolled her brown eyes at hi and gave James a smirk while she poked him into the cheek, "And where would be the fun in that?"

He slapped her hand away as she jumped down from his bed still smiling, "Now come on, breakfast is ready, Jamsi."

The girl just walked out of the door, "Don't call me that!", her brother shouted annoyed after her, which made her smirk even wider.

Josi was completely aware that her twin wasn't a morning person so she turned around and leaned against the door frame rasing an eyebrow at him, "I don't know what you mean, Jamsi."

A big pillow quickly flew past her head making the girl duck immediately, "Shove off, Jo!"

The girl shook her head and turned around to jog down the wooden stairs chuckling to herself as she shouted, "Get your ass down!"

AFTER THEIR AS ALWAYS VERY DELICIOUS AND VERY BIG BREAKFAST, the whole Potter family arrived at Kings Cross, platform 9 3/4 at exactly a quarter to eleven. The Hogwarts express was already prepared for the journey and white steam puffed from the red chimney.

Many family's said their Goodbye's and the little first years fought their way excited through the taller Hogwarts students, their eyes glistering as they eyed the full platfrom.

The Potter twins were both pretty excited to finally see their friends and couldn't wait to finally enter the train.

The two teenagers walked in front of their parents searching for their friends faces between the many heads of the first and second years. Josephine pushed her trunk further through a couple of fifth years as she finally spotted Remus in the distance.

The first thing the brunette noticed about the slightly thin and pal looking boy was that he had grown his sandy hair over the summer, which now hung into his face. A couple of new scars ran through his face, Josi eyed him for a short moment as she smiled lightly.

He had definitely grown over the holidays, and eventhought he had all this scares on his face, Josephine would still describe him as a pretty handsome young man.

Remus had now spotted the two brunette teenagers as well and waved at them, a wide smile plastered on his face. He quickly grabbed his trunk and started to make his way through the crowd of students.

The smile on Josi's face grew wider as she let go of her trunk and started running towards the boy excited. As soon as she arrived by him she hugged the boy tightly and collided with his chest which made Remus stumbled back.

"Oi, women! It's been 4 weeks since we last saw each other!", Remus exclaimed as he patted her back chuckling. Josephine could feel how his body shook which made her chuckled as well, the girl could practically hear the smile on his face while he spoke.

"Far to long if you ask me", the brunette replied with a big smile while she let go of her friend. She then grabbed his hand and quickly dragged him after her, over to her parents and James.

"So you had a nice summer?", she asked Remus interisted as the two strolled next to each other down the platform. The teenage boy shrugged as he looked at the girl, "It's been okay. My mum was sick and I had to take care of her most of the time. But Peter visited me in the holidays, that was fun."

Josephine nodded her head as they both arrived by James, the two boys embraced each other happyly before Remus spun around and greeted their parents friendly.

Josi turned back towards the large crowd of students as she started to search for her favorite redhead, Lily Evans.

She was deep in thoughts while she listened to the indestinced chattering of the people around her, but her searching for Lily was interrupted by a very familiar voice addressing her.

"Looking for someone?"

Her eye immediately widened but after a small moment the girl rolled with her eyes as she slowly turned towards the voice -and there he was, in his full glory, no other than, Sirius Black.

The young brunette crossed her arms over her chest and raised a challenging eyebrow before she looked up to him.

- And in that moment dark chocolate brown eyes met stormy grey ones.

The boy broke their eye contact first as he slowly looked her up and down, his stupid signature smirk plastered on his perfect face. Josi raised her other eyebrow as well, she couldn't believe it, he was seriously checking her out right now.

"Not for you unfortunately", she answered him while she pressed her lips into a thin line. The smirk on Sirius' face immediately changed to a mock hurt expression.

"Ouch, Josephine you cut me deep!", Sirius pouted at her as he put his left hand over his chest. "The heart is on the other side, genius", Josi told him before she grabbed his hand and slowly placed it onto the right spot, ignoring the tingling feeling that shot through her body when their skin touched.

The girl then walked past him, not daring to look up into Sirius face out of fear that he would see the reaction a simple touch was doing to her. She quickly passed him to say goodbye to her parents.

Without missing a beat Sirius spun around and followed after her, "What? No hug for me, Love?"

Josephine rolled her eyes again as she grabbed her trunk, not answering the boy who was then spotted by James. The two immediatley laid in each other's arms as they pretened like they hadn't seen each other in years.

"Padfood! Oh my mate, promise to never leave me again! The Summer was so boring without you!", James cried out dramatically as he held onto his friend tightly.

Sirius chuckeld while he looked at the Potter boy and patted his back, "I will never leave you again, Prongs!", he answered him dramatically, before he turned towards Remus.

"Ah Moony, how was your summer?", Sirius asked the pale boy while he placed a hand on his shoulder and patted it, a large smile still on his face.

Josi frowned at the three boys in front of her, she had never understood why the group had this questionable nicknames for each other, the only thing she knew was that they called themselves that since fifth year. She couldn't really fathom how proud they were and how everyone else admired them.

The girl shook her head lighty to herself as she continued to search the crowed for Lily's red hair, tapping her foot onto the concrete floor.

Euphemia Potter who stood in between her husband and Josi, was very delighted to see Sirius again. The woman watched the teenage boy as a smile crossed her face.

Sirius let out a loud laugh as he looked at his two friends. The grown woman at last couldn't hold herself back, so Euphemia took a big step forward and embraced the boy in a big hug.

He was like her second son, the Potter's had practically adopted Sirius, but Josephine didn't cared much, her and Sirius had never been that close. She didn't knew why, but if she had to guess she would probably say because they just hadn't talked that much.

"Oh Sirius sweetheart, you've become such a handsome young man!", Euphemia breathed out as she stepped back again.

Sirius gaze fell immediately onto his shoes, embarrassed because he was not used to receiving compliments. His family was not the most loving one, or as Sirus would always discribe it, 'living with them was his own personal hell'.

Usually the boy would get insults and a couple of curses for breakfast, not that he had ever told that to someone.

"T- Thank you, Mrs.Potter", he answered her shyly, a charming smile on his face. "Sirius we already had that. Please, call me Euphemia", the woman told him smiling.

"Mum— let him be", Josi spoke up while she gave her mother a pointed look. The brunette knew that her mother could be a bit much at some times, so she tired to help the boy out.

Her arms were still crossed over her chest as she tapped her food onto the floor and waited for Lily to finally show up.

Sirius attention was immediately drawn back towards her, the beautiful girl with the lovely brown doe eyes in which Sirius could drown for hours. It was like they would put a spell on him that wouldn't let him tear his eyes away.

The long haired boy sighed as he watched how she concentrated searched for Lily, a small crease ran across her forehead as she frowned.

Suddenly a pain shot through his right side which made him fliched. He shook his head several times, before he looked to his right and saw James who already glared at him intensively the elbow still near his side. Sirius just shrugged at him and pretended like nothing had happened as he looked back ahead.

He cleared his throat and let his gaze wander around and at some point he met the gaze of Mr.Potter, who smiled knowingly at him as he winked at the boy.

Sirius eyes immediately widened in shock and he awkwardly looked back at the ground, - maybe his starring at Josephine had been more noticeable than he had thought.

Suddenly the train whistled loudly to signal the students that this was the last chance for bording as the white smoke came out of the chimney again.

Remus had just spotted Peter's blond head in the crowd and was already on his way towards the train with the boy, as he carried his trunk in his hand. The others quickly grabbed their trunks and followed after them.

As they all arrived by the door the two teenagers spun around to their parents smiling at them, "Bye, mum. Bye dad!"

"Goodbye sweetheart!" The twins quickly hugged their parents before they climbed into the train followed by Sirius.

"Please, James. Try to behave your self this year. I don't want any kind of letters where the school tells me that you let the toilets explode again!", Euphemia quickly warned her son with a pointed look while he walked up the stairs of the train, looking over his shoulder at them.

"Mum, when have I ever done that?", he asked her shocked before a smirk made it's way onto his face.

Euphemia shook her head at him, smiling. "Oh and Sirius, -we would be happy if you would come to our annual Christmas party this year", she smiled at the boy who just stepped onto the stairs of the train.

"I see what I can do, Mrs. Potter", he answered her smiling before the train doors finally closed.

Josephine waved at her parents one more time before the train slowly started to drive. At some point they finally left the station behind and the large crowed of people had changed into a landscape of many green meadows and big grey mountains.
