Elio had to be strong for a while now, and he knew it as soon as Oliver sat on his bed.

It was overwhelming to be home and have his own bed again after a whole year of nonstop moving around and sleeping in the ground so much. The ground shook sometimes with gunfire and sometimes he'd wake up next to a dead body.

Elio had never seen Oliver cry so hard as he hugged a pillow and whispered, "It's a bed."

The younger quickly ran a bath and came to comfort his boyfriend, who now chuckled.

"This is embarrassing. I've never been so happy to see a fucking bed, Elio."

Elio smiled as he kissed Oliver's forehead. "It's okay babe, I get it. Let's take a bath, yes? Mamma and papá won't be home till night."

Oliver nodded as he followed his boyfriend inside the bathroom, not before patting the bed one last time.

It pained Elio to undress Oliver and see so many cuts and bruises. He wouldn't ask what happened because spies got in fights, but never like this... did they?

He made sure to kiss each cut, bruise and even the points of his ribs that were more prominent than ever. He would have to remember to feed the man like he had never ate before.

"Elio."

Elio turned to his boyfriend as he been taking his own shirt off. "Yeah?"

Oliver stared at the water as he hugged himself before he looked up at the boy who looked very concerned. "You're getting in with me right?"

Elio pulled down his pants as he chuckled. "I am stripping, aren't I?"

Oliver held out his hand and waited for Elio to hold onto it. The two looked at each other, one looking as if it was just another bath, and the other, as if he was leaping from the Niagara Falls' depth.

Elio took the lead and got in first, making sure Oliver was okay. The younger laid back onto the bathtub's inner wall as the older laid on top of him.

"See? Still just a bath."

"This is pathetic." He laughed as he fidgeted with Elio's hands.

"You are getting use to being back. It's okay." Elio kissed his cheek twice before relaxing his head backwards.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."
