The intense anger which Jin was experiencing at the moment channelled through his strength to his arms, thus made the task of squeezing limes seem like eating cake.

He reached over the counter top to the last lime without breaking his glare on your direction.

You sensed the feeling of having being watched and turned around to meet Jin's gaze. You gave him a warm smile.

Startled that you had caught his gaze, Jin immediately returned the warm smile but as soon as you looked away, his lips melted to a pout as he struggled to squeeze the last lime in his hands, still not breaking the stare he was holding on you.

Jin started to mutter angrily to himself,
"How dare that annoying cat hold my girl's hand, get her everything she wants, helping her like her prince charming and I'm supposed to watch this and..."

Jisoo noticed Jin and came up to stand beside him.

"UM Jin?" she started tentatively.

Not noticing her in his frenzied state, Jin dragged on his voice getting louder and louder with every breath he drew,
"Why would Yoongi even want to get close to her...I thought he doesn't want to date yet and I thought that I can have her all to myself..."

He is practically yelling now

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET ANYTHING DONE WHEN THAT GUY IS HOGGING UP Y/N ALL TO HIMSELF LIKE HOW A CAT NEVER LETS GO OF HIS SCRATCHING POST?"

"JINN," Jisoo yelled into his ear.

"WHAT?!" Jin snapped furiously. "FOR GOODNESS SAKE JISOO CAN'T YOU SHUT UP FOR ONCE. I'M TRYING TO SQUEEZE A LIME HERE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!"

Jisoo just scoffed. "You mean this lime?" she deadpanned while holding up one.
"What the-" Jin stared.
"Look worldwide dummy, I was trying to get you to see what you had been trying to squeeze this entire time!"

Jin looked down at his hands and found out that he had been trying to squeeze to his dismay... An apple.

~Time skip ~

You all finally finished making the dishes and yours and Yoongi's one turned out quite well.
But Jisoo and Jin's one... Welll... Some stuff didn't go accordingly as planned due to Jin's emotional state.

The egg whites being beaten a bit more than which was expected had caused the stew to come out in a watery structure, the cooking station is a mess with leeks leaves and lime peels all over the place.

The members who were watching the program on TV were honestly taken aback that the end result of a cooking team that Jin was in came out like this.
Even the team was surprised.

Yoongi gave Jin a "seriously?" expression, to which Jin snapped, "I did my best so quit giving me that look,"

Your eyes widened at Jin's unexplained outburst.

The panel of judgers came up on stage to judge the laid out dishes.

After they have carefully tasted each delicacy and given their comments to Soobin, Soobin announced,
"Well, all the judges say that they have to admit that almost all the dishes were spectacular and outstandingly prepared."

At this, Jisoo squealed and threw herself onto Y/N's arms while Jin and Yoongi broke out into silent applause.

"The stew could have been a bit thicker but it was amazing," Soobin continued followed by a grin. "And now the moment we have all been waiting for...the ranking!"

Drum rolls were heard in the distance as the suspense was heavily created in the atmosphere.

Jisoo and you held onto each other tightly and Yoongi and Jin leaned in closer to hear their statement.

"The judgers have decided to give it a 7!" Soobin announced and the audience burst into thunderous applause while rainbow confetti rained down on the contestants.

All the four contestants couldn't restrain their sunbeam smiles stretching from ear to ear on their illuminated faces and you and Jisoo squealed and shrieked in joy.

"Congratulations!" Soobin said as he made his way to shake all the contestants' hands. "You all are going to Italy!"

Back in Jimin's apartment

"WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

The rest of the members, at hearing this news, sprang from their seats and shrieked in delight. Jimin and Taehyung looped their hands around each other and dance round and round, Namjoon was clapping with a proud smile on his face, J hope was jumping up and down on the couch in glee and Jungkook was showering pop corn over everyone's heads as if he was showering rice at a wedding.

Back in the show

You all had just packed up your things, bade goodbye to the judgers and hosts and were just on your way out the building to the parking lot. Infront of you, a few paces ahead, you saw that Jisoo was busy talking to Yoongi, probably about how excited she was about the cook-off. You glanced over your shoulder and saw Jin trailing behind, his eyes locked to the ground looking quite gloomy for a guy who had won a free trip to Italy.

You were a bit worried over his expression and decided to cheer him up. You giggled and made your way towards him.

You playfully nudged your shoulder against him causing his sad brown eyes to look at you.

"Hey Jin," you smiled. "Why the long face? Aren't you happy that we had won a trip to Italy? Like I'm so excited!"

"Yeah, whatever," he muttered almost angrily before he sped up in his tracks and walked past you without giving you a second's glance.
You stared as his broad back drifted further and further away from you, disappearing from view. You couldn't believe what just took place.

"Did I say something wrong?" you asked no one in particular.
