Ok I know it's difficult to write fanfics about characters that have barely any role in the story and almost no screen time, but there are already so many Edward or Richard fics out there.

I'm not saying you can't write for those two, but it is extremely easy to be repetitive or accidentally have a very similar plot to someone else. I know it's hard to read every fic out there, I don't even do that. An easy way to avoid being repetitive is using different love interests, this will also spice up your book and set it apart from others. If your fic is the only fic with a specific love interest, then it makes it interesting!

Possible love interests you could sure

- George Plantagenet. There are like 6 George books out there. Three of them haven't been updated since 2021 and then two are my own fics. There are a lot of interesting plots you could come up with for him

- Anthony Woodville. There are basically no fics for him (*cries in the draft I have*) and it would definitely be interesting to read a fic about him.

- Jasper Tudor. If you want to write about a more mature character, you could have him be your love interest. Do not and I repeat DO NOT make him your love interest if your OC is a teenager. That's a big fat no no from me. I don't care if you use the "but in medieval times big age differences were normal" because yes, they were but parents still tried to marry their children to someone their age. The only reason they'd marry their 15 year old child to a 50 year old man that was gonna die soon was he was of much higher standing than they are, and even then they would try to marry their child to his heirs. Just STOP DOING AGE GAPS I BEG OF YOU.

- Isabel and Anne Neville. Both of my girls deserve some love, especially my baby Isabel โœ‹ you can make it sapphic as well for extra spice

- Francis Lovell. He isn't actually IN the show but if you're a fan of history you know he was a very close friend of Richard and making him your love interest would create an interesting dynamic

- if you're looking for a challenge, make your OC one of the Lancastrians. I was bored and now I have a whole ass Lancaster wins AU and the love interest is Edward of Lancaster. Have fun with it, make it chaotic.

- who said you have to have just one love interest? You can make your OC love multiple people throughout the show. TWQ literally starts in 1464 and ends in 1485. That's twenty one years. Your OC can fall in love and out of love with two or more people

- why not try your hand at a OC x OC fic? It gives you the power to do basically whatever you want with both of the love interests and it won't go against their character, because they are YOUR character, not a preexisting one

This isn't me saying you cannot write for Edward and Richard. In fact, if you have an original storyline in mind, GO FOR IT! I'd love to read your stories regardless of the love interest!
