"Stop looking at me and watch the movie," I said as I stuffed a handful of popcorn into my mouth.

"Why? I'd rather watch you instead," he mumbled. And quickly added "I-I mean, y-you have corn all over your face." It was nice to see him flustered for once.

"Here, let me help you," he continued softly. "I don't even know how you manage to do that," he chuckled quietly as he cleaned my face with a tissue.

I sat motionless, hoping that the sound of my racing heart doesn't reach his ears.
