AT THE SOUND OF THEIR command, every shadow soldier and sun knight marched forward towards the giant guarding the gate.

the two players watched their army with glowing eyes, waiting for the giant to make a move.

the giant only stood still, its red eyes narrowed at the army charging towards it.

IN A FLASH, IT DISAPPEARED

the player's eyes widened wondering where it went. when it reappeared, half of their army had been annihilated with a single swing of its weapon.

'what incredible power. a single swing took out more than a hundred.' jin-woo notes, tightening the hold he had on [y/n]'s waist.

something bothered him.

the giant was enormous. the mana it had was enough to make him (of all people) want to run away as fast as he could.

IT AGITATED HIM. HOW COULD SUCH A BEING EXIST?

tusk was quick to attack back, he gigantifed himself and stood tall before the monster. he sucks in a deep breath.

THERE WERE TWO WAYS TO GET RID OF AGITATION.

YOU COULD RUN AWAY FROM THE CAUSE AND FORGET ABOUT IT.

the summon lets out a blast of fire from his mouth towards the giant. unfortunately, it blocked the attack with the palm of its hand.

OR GET RID OF IT ENTIRELY.

a sun knight giant closed onto the monster but it noticed and with another single swing it destroyed the knight.

beru's combined ant army climbed and ate away at the giant's foot. but it swings its leg upward, ridding of the ants.

the powerful summon lets out a screech when he sees his ant army fighting a losing battle. he was about to fly over to them but [y/n] raised her arm and stopped him.

she looks to him with a soft smile. "not yet, beru."

the ant summon only nods and stands back, following her orders. he, igris, and icarus stood behind the two hunters, awaiting their command.

"this much is within our expectations." jin-woo voices to his lover.

she hums with a nod. "we have enough mana to spare. we just need to press the attack a bit more to figure out a weakness."

the two players watched with glowing eyes as their army kept attacking the giant, getting destroyed in the process.

they kept a close eye on their mana meter as their army keeps regenerating.

"it's mana is covering itself like armor. that's why it doesn't ever defend itself. it's that confident in its offensive abilities." [y/n] points out.

"however, there was one attacked that it blocked." jin-woo adds, looking down at her.

she looks up at him with a cheeky smile, knowing exactly what instant he was talking about.

"KASIEL!"

"HELIOS!"

the two summoned their wyverns, separating from each other's hold.

icarus joined his queen on helios while igirs followed his king on kasiel. then, beru extended his wings, preparing to take off.

then, the two wyverns flapped their wings and took off from the ground.

"LET'S GO!"

BERU WAS THE first to attack the giant, shooting straight down at the giant as it finally noticed the two players coming towards it.

igris and icarus followed up as they swung their swords down, crackles of purple and gold lightning struck toward the giant's face.

it dodges the lightning and that's when the two players know they've found the giant's weakness.

igris and beru were tasked with attacking the giant in different parts of its body to slow it down and make their way to its face.

[y/n] smirks and summons the demon queen's daggers. she and icarus jump off from helios, landing on its left arm running up to the giant's face.

icarus swung his sword down again, booms of lightning aimed at the giant's face. it raised its palm, blocking the attack as [y/n] ran past her knight.

she jumps up with daggers in hand and stabs the left eye of the giant while jin-woo stabs its right.

his presence scares her a bit, not realizing he is right next to her.

"OH, SHIT WOO?! YOU SCARED ME THERE FOR A SECOND!" she yelps with a laugh.

he rolls his eyes in amusement as the two back off from the giant's face. they smirk when the giant roars in pain from being stabbed in both eyes.

"just as i thought! my love get ready to attack!" jin-woo yells over the wind.

"you don't have to tell me twice lover boy!" [y/n] shouts back with a smile.

beru released his talons, swiping across the giant's face as his king and queen's presence becoming increasingly dangerous.

with ruler's authority, the two players summon daggers that were stored in their inventory.

they smirk in unison, eyes glowing.

"MUTILATE."

the skill allowed them to attack the giant's eyes continuously. not even a second later, both of its eyes explode, its blood flying everywhere.

"BERU!" [y/n] shouts for the summon, part of her face and neck covered in the giant's blood.

"AS YOU COMMAND MY QUEEN!"

he shouts back and flew into one of the holes in the giant's eyes. from there, the two players attack the monster outside while beru attack from inside the giant.

the two players continue to use the skill mutilate merciless as their army attacked the giant from below. it fell to its knees and soon enough, gallons of it blood spilled from it's mouth.

when finally...

[YOU HAVE DEFEATED THE ENEMY!]

THE COUPLE STARE at the dead monster from on top of a nearby building, with igirs and icarus standing on the side of their respective masters.

beeps go off in their heads, signaling that they've leveled up multiple times.

[y/n] was in process wiping away the giants blood from her face with towel rag. blood has never once bothered her but it does annoy her if it dries up.

"hey woo, did i get all the blood off of me?" she asks, looking up at jin-woo.

he turns to face her and inspects. truth be told, she did get rid of all the blood.

but jin-woo wanted to tease her a bit.

"ah, you did miss a spot." he hums, thoughtful.

she furrows her eyebrows. "oh where?"

he bends down to meet her at eye level and gives her a passionate chaste kiss, making her flinch.

he could pick up the slight taste of chapstick. he pulls back, straightening his posture as he licks his lips.

'did she get a new flavor? she usually goes with vanilla.' he genuinely thinks to himself as his girlfriend was left flustered.

jin-woo looks at [y/n] and chuckles at how unprepared she was. she blinks and shakes her head trying to compose herself.

she then playfully glares at him. "you'll regret that! i'll get my revenge!"

"if your 'revenge' is another kiss then i'll take that." he challenges with a smirk.

"oh really?" she mocks with a raised eyebrow and crosses her arms under her chest.

he suddenly pulls her by her waist, meeting his hips. causing her hands to lay against his chest.

"yes, really." he whispers in her ear, his breath sending shivers down her spine.

[y/n] feels her face grow hot. she adverts her gaze away from him as her heart beats loudly in her ears.

"you're really unfair, you know that?" she mumbles and hears him chuckle.

his steel grey eyes look down at her with a small and adorning smile. 'she's too cute not to tease...'

"HYUNG-NIM! MISS [Y/N]!"

the couple turns around, they smile when they see it's jin-ho running towards them. the two jump down to the ground gracefully, joining the hunter's side.

"i expected no less! you two defeated the boss of the giants!" he exclaims with a wide smile.

jin-woo could only sigh at his statement. 'the message 'you have killed the owner of the dungeon' didn't pop up. which means the raid isn't over yet.'

he looks over to [y/n] who seemed to be deep in thought, which only let him know she was thinking the same thing.

their senses go off and hold their hands out to stop jin-ho from moving any further. they summoned their daggers in their free hands, ready to attack whoever was hiding in the giant's body.

"my king and my queen. it is i." beru says, reveling himself from the giant's mouth bowing his head.

"oh, it's just you beru." the [h/c] haired player states, giggling as she eases up.

she puts her dagger back in her inventory. 'incredible, the giant's magical energy is powerful enough to mask beru's presence even though it's dead.'

then, the air suddenly changed. jin-woo was the first to notice has he pulled [y/n] to his chest, shielding her from any danger.

a dangerously powerful wave of magical energy blew against the group. beru immediately stood in front his king and queen, increasing his overall size to protect the two.

'what an incredible storm of magical energy!' the dark haired hunter thinks, tightening the hold he had on his lover.

he feels her hide her face in his neck. "darling, is jin-ho safe? i don't think he can withstand this energy." [y/n] whispers, worried for her friend's wellbeing.

he looks over to where he stood and he sighs in relief when he sees icarus and igirs protecting him.

"he's just fine my love, icarus and igris are with him." he answers and the tension leaves her body, grateful that he's safe.

jin-woo turns to look forward, he sees the giant's body begin to be lifted up from the ground as the gate began to absorb its magical energy.

[y/n] then retracts her face from her lover's neck, facing forward. she feels something scratch her cheek.

she glances and sees a cut. 'it's powerful enough to cause a cut. this has never happened before.'

"there's something inside that gate." she mumbles with jin-woo humming in agreement.

beru retreated back to his master's shadow once the situation calmed down a bit.

"jin-ho, wait here! [y/n] and i are going to check what's going on inside the gate!" jin-woo instructs.

"please be careful you two!" jin-ho shouts back, continued to be protected by igris as icarus was ordered to join his queen.

the [h/c] haired player yelps when she's suddenly picked up princess style by her lover. before she can protest, he jumps entering the gate.

JIN-WOO LANDS GRACEFULLY and lets [y/n] down to ground, much to his dismay.

he smiles to himself when she instinctively hugs his arm to stay close to him. but, that smiles fades at they take in their surroundings. they found themselves in a massive hallway.

"it's huge... well, it only makes sense since the giants had to pass through here." [y/n] comments, keeping her guard up.

then their ears pick something up.

"my king, my queen, can you hear it?" beru questions, hovering over jin-woo's shoulder.

he nods, "yeah, can you hear it too?"

"that's one hell of a sinister laugh." [y/n] adds, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

the dark haired hunter raises an eyebrow. "is having your enemies invade your gate that funny? what an odd one."

the [h/c] haired hunter giggles at his comment and shakes her head. 'i think my humor is rubbing off on him.'

"let's go boys."

they walked down the hallway, the echoing laughing growing with each passing step.

until finally...

"HAHAHAH! HILARIOUS! HILARIOUS! OH, YOU DETESTABLE RULERS! WITNESS WHO HAS FOUND ME FIRST!"

in the middle of the boss room, a giant was tied down by chains, with the exception of his head.

the black glowing chains were connected to the walls of the dungeon. not only did it wrapped tightly around the giant man several times, some of them even pierced straight through his body.

the man looked up at the couple with a wide smile as they stood before him.

"WELCOME MONARCHS."
