❝I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT.❞

THE TWO PLAYERS GALRED at the stone statue before them as it begins to move, six wings appearing on its back. it breaks the stone tablet in its arms, the pieces flying everywhere.

[y/n] clicked her tongue at the action. 'so there was never meaning to those rules... i already hate this.'

"there was no meaning to the rules written to it from the beginning," jin-woo states, almost reading her mind

"there was meaning," the statue starts. "but it doesn't matter anymore."

"did you call us here?" the female player asks, narrowing her eyes.

the statue grinned at the two. "yes."

"are you a monster?" the male player questions.

"that's the wrong question to ask," the statue answers. "you should not be asking what i am. you should be asking what you are."

it claps its hands and the rest of the statues around the room begin to move. "now this, this will be your final test. if you two are still standing when the test is over, i will tell you everything. that is reward i'll give you."

the statues march their way over to the players, weapons in their hands.

calm as always, they call their soldiers.

"AWAKEN."

"ARISE."

"OH WE CANT HAVE THAT."

the angel statue says, snapping its fingers and their soldiers crawled back to their bodies as a system notification popped up.

"this is a final test after all. i only want to test you two, i'm not interested in the abilities of your servants."

"so it's gonna be like that huh?" [y/n] grumbles as she hears the mechanical beep ring in her ears.

"who knew all the hidden cards we'd been preparing would be completely useless." jin-woo muses, shoving his hands in his pockets.

the statues began sprinting towards the two of them. their glowing eyes scan the looming statues, having their backs to each other.

noting that can still use their inventory, a plan quickly formed in their minds.

"take the left, i take the right." jin-woo states to [y/n] and she hums in agreement.

the two run in different directions as half of statues went to either player.

THE FEMALE PLAYER catches one of the statues' sword with her hands and breaks in half. she grabs the top half and threw it at one of the statues, hitting it center on its head.

she jumps up, smashes the head of the statue. then, another statues swings it's weapon towards her. she swiftly summons her daggers, slashing the weapon and she jumps up to dig her daggers into its head.

the sound of an arrow being shot caught [y/n]'s attention. she clicks her tongue in annoyance but doesn't move from her spot.

instead, she cuts the arrow into half, quickly kicking the top part of the arrow towards the archer cracking open its head. 

an adrenaline like rush courses through her as she takes down more statues with ease.

'that's right.'

she cuts down another statue, a smirk slowly forming on her lips.

'I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT.'

her glowing dark blue eyes shine brightly like a raging fire. she jumps up and swings her leg down for an axe kick, destroying a statue's head.

'NO, I'VE BEEN LIVING FOR THIS FUCKING MOMENT.'

jin-woo was having as much ease as she was in taking down the statues. their anger, their frustrations, their guilt, their helplessness was being poured into every swing, punch and kick.

THIS DUNGEON'S KARMA WAS PAST OVER DUE.

the two players were quickly surrounded by statues and their continuous attacks. they were strong, but the players knew they could do this.

"YOU TWO REALLY ARE AMAZING. HOWEVER IT'S STILL TOO EARLY TO END THE TEST HERE."

a thunderous rumble coursed through the atmosphere and the players snapped their head to the direction it came from.

"OH YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" [y/n] cursed, almost childishly at the sight of the tallest statue in the room begin to move.

it loomed over the two players with wide smile, it's beaming red eyes staring at them.

"NOW, ITS TIME TO WORSHIP GOD."

"WORSHIP GOD MY ass. fuck off!" [y/n] shouts as she flips off the big statue.

almost as if it heard her, it's red eyes begin to shine at her specifically and her eyes widen but then she relaxes.

she does not regret flipping it off.

'i know i can't dodge, so let's use something else.' she thinks narrowing her eyes and she raises her hand.

[SKILL: DOMINATOR'S TOUCH ACTIVATED.]

she grabs hold of the three statues behind jin-woo. she clumps them together to create a makeshift shield, moving them in front of her.

red laser beams shot out of the god statue's eyes. the shield barely held together before it melted but it was enough for [y/n] to get away and dodge it's beams.

[SKILL: DOMINATOR'S TOUCH HAS UPGRADED TO ITS FINAL FORM, RULER'S AUTHORITY.]

she ignores the system notification and runs to join jin-woo, jumping up again to avoid getting hit.

it shoots at her again as she falls to the ground and she grits her teeth.

that's when she's suddenly whisked out of the air, princess style and she looks up to meet the the eyes of her lover.

"deja vu huh?" she points out with a smile, remembering a similar event like this. he could only chuckle and kiss her forehead.

jin-woo lands gracefully on the ground and sets [y/n] down, carefully.

"we aren't strong enough to take a direct hit, not yet anyways." the female player mumbles. their eyes met and a plan forms wordlessly.

the two sped off in different directions as the statue tried squash them with its foot. it's eyes shined red again as it prepares another attack when it sees that jin-woo and [y/n] running up its body.

they used ruler's authority to pull themselves faster that statue can shoot, it's shoots the beam but they were quicker.

'this power... it's only a little bit but i can feel it! i think me and woo are growing several times faster than when we used our skills.' [y/n] thinks as the two landed on the god statute's shoulders.

the two used their dagger skill, cutting up the statue's face but there barely and visible damage.

jin-woo sends [y/n] a look and she nods, already knowing the plan.

putting their daggers back in their inventory the two jump up towards it's face, readying their fists. aiming for the main cracks on its face, the two begin punching it.

"THIS IS PAYBACK FOR LAST TIME YOU EGOTISTICAL GOD!" [y/n] screams, punching through its face.

'FEEL THE POWER OF REACHING LEVEL 102 AND 103!'

with the power of both players, the god statue begins to tilt backwards, falling to ground.

the two fall back as to not get caught up in the rubble. then, jin-woo uses ruler's authority to take care of the other remaining statues.

the players catch their breath as they look down at the hands with interest. 'i can't believe we reach another level of power with this fight...'

then suddenly clapping was heard, the two turn to look up at the angel statue. "you've countered my creation in such a way, incredible." it noted, throughly impressed.

"keep your promise." jin-woo reminds it, making the statue laugh.

"THE TEST ISNT OVER YET. LOOK, I'M STILL STANDING."

that's when the two players get a system notification.

AN EMERGENCY QUEST HAS STARTED. 
YOUR HEART WILL STOP IF YOU DO NOT DEFEAT THE ENEMY IN THE ALLOTTED TIME.

the angel statue spread its arms out with a wide grin and looks at the two players smugly.

"I AM THE FINAL TEST."

[y/n] growls at the system window, then she directs her anger to the statute. "just who the hell are you?!" she demands, her eyes narrowing.

the countdown begin soon after they received it.

it chuckles at her question. "i told you that was a silly question. but fine, i'll answer you," the statute replies.

"ME? I AM THE CREATOR OF THE SYSTEM. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH MY ANSWER?
