Chapter Thirteen

Serena's P.O.V.

I stepped into the tour bus, taking one final glance at my family before the door slowly closed behind me, and T.J and I began to walk around, admiring our temporary home. The seating area had a brown leather booth with a small table in the middle. Across from it was the small kitchen. A pull-out dishwasher was right next to a mini-fridge stocked with snacks we both enjoyed. Towards the back, there was a shower area, as well as a long row of beds.

"Wow! This is not what I imagined it to look like!" I smiled, feeling another dream become a reality. As we walked to the front of the trailer, we heard the trailer door open, and we saw a tall man with a black cap on his head take a seat in the driver's chair. "Excuse me, are you the driver?" I asked, lightly tapping his shoulder. He looked over and smiled, instantly standing up from his seat and almost hitting his head on the roof.

"You must be Serena Waterbury and T.J. McGibbon, I'm Mr. Edgar, and I'll be your driver," He introduced himself, extending his hand out for us to shake. We each gave a firm shake, and we talked a little about the schedule, where we would be making our stops on the tour, and how we were welcome to roam around as we pleased. "Oh, and there's a few more snacks in the pantry if you run out in the fridge," He pointed out. "Thank you so much, Mr. Edgar. It means a lot that your driving for my tour," I said graciously.

"Just doing my job, Ms. Waterbury. Are we ready to go now?" He asked. T.J. and I looked at each other, nodding before we took a seat at the leather booth as he turned on the ignition. T.J. pulled up blinds, and we saw Aidan, her parents, and my parents were watching and waving to us. We waved back at them and continued waving until we pulled out of the trailer park. "Victoria, here we come!" I cheered. The start of the ride was a bit bumpy and full of traffic, but after about half an hour of that, the ride became smoother, and I walked around, getting myself set up in my bunk.

As I plugged in my phone, I saw a text from Aidan flash on the screen. I had a hunch he would text me within half an hour of us being away from each other, and I was right.

Aidan

Aidan: Hey, spoop. Did you get settled in yet?

Serena: I'm currently doing that. You should see this tour bus. It's freaking awesome!

Aidan: Can I see?

Serena:

Aidan: Now I'm getting jealous!

Serena: It's nice. It doesn't feel the same without you, though.

Aidan: Aww, I miss you already. 😘

Serena: I miss you too. But I'll be back before you know it! 💖

Aidan: What would I do without your positive energy?

Serena: I don't know. What would I do without you and your kindness?

Aidan: We could play this game all night.

Serena: You're funny. I'm going to get some rest. I got to get a lot of sleep before we reach Victoria.

Aidan: Okay, goodnight! Love you!

Serena: Love you too!

*******

Aidan's P.O.V.

"Aidan, you alright?" Mom asked, placing a gentle hand on my knee. I looked up from my phone, meeting her kind eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. I miss Serena, that's all," I nodded, looking back at our previous texts. I thought that once Serena was on that bus, the loneliness feeling would subside, but I started to miss her more and more. But at the same time, I kept reminding myself, reminding her that she would come back soon.

As we walked into the hotel, the lady at the front desk called out our names, explaining a package waiting for us. I didn't recall ordering anything. The last time I ordered something was when I needed a new aux cord for one of my guitars a few weeks ago. Maybe Mom must've ordered something? She's been trying to get on the liquid diet for a few weeks.

The woman handed us a box, and we went up to our hotel room, wanting to see who it was from. "That's weird. It's to Serena, but there's no return address," My face shifted into a perplexed look. I grabbed a nearby kitchen knife, opening the package, and being greeted with a few boxes of chocolates as well as some rose petals.

"Uh, Mom, did you order a bunch of chocolate?" I asked, walking into the living room, holding up the boxes of Ferrero Rocher. "No, why do you ask?" She answered. "These were in the package addressed to Serena. I don't know if she ordered them or what," I explained, feeling even more confused. "Maybe you should give her a call and ask her," Dad suggested. She's asleep. And I don't want to stress her out while she's on this tour. She already has a lot on her plate.

"I'll give her a call tomorrow. She's probably sleeping now," I nodded before walking back to the bedroom, plopping the brown box and the chocolates back on top of one another. My eyes scanned the room, continuously looking at the door, waiting for Serena to walk in and lay down next to me.

This is going to be a long two weeks.
