Chapter Twenty Six
A/n: Quick Disclaimer before the chapter, there is a brief scene of attempted assault. But there is no actual you know what in it. So skip ahead a little if you don't want to read it.
Serena's P.O.V.
"What. The. Actual. Fuck?" I said to Cameron as I tried to hold back my anger. "You shouldn't have gone snooping through my phone," He responded, a smirk forming on the edge of his lips. Another wave of realization crashed over me, this time harder, and it hit me deep. I still couldn't believe what I had read. Aidan was right. Cameron was not the guy who I thought he was. "So, you and Eden planned our breakup?!" I nearly shouted.
Cameron said nothing but continued to smirk and stare at me with those eyes. "I can't believe I ever met you! I thought I would be only mad at Eden for this, but now I'm mad at both of you!" I growled, tears at the corner of my eyes. He started walking towards me, and I pushed him away. "Don't touch me, you psycho!" I shouted.
He grabbed my wrists, struggling to keep them from hitting him, I tried to escape his grasp, but he had a strong grip. I looked down at my legs for a split second before meeting Cam's dark eyes. While maintaining eye contact, I lifted my knee, hitting him where the sun didn't shine.
He groaned in pain at the blow, immediately releasing me from his grasp, and I quickly ran out of the trailer as Cameron continued to groan in pain. I didn't stop until I reached the studio where the actors were beginning to film a scene. "Aidan! Aidan!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I saw him talking to Gerard and Kate from a distance, and he quickly turned around when I called out his name.
"Serena, what's wrong?" He asked as I flew into his arms. "Cameron, h-h-he," I stuttered as I buried my face into his chest. "What happened?" He whispered. "He grabbed me by my wrists and tried to hurt me!" I bawled. Footsteps came from behind me, and I quickly hid behind him. Cameron walked in, a few feet away from me. "You get away from her, you son of a bitch!" Aidan shouted. Everyone in the studio immediately looked over to see what was going on and murmurs started to spread around the studio.
"He and Eden have been conspiring to ruin our relationship! I saw the texts on his phone. He said he wanted to "grab a slice of Serena pie!" I said, pointing at his phone clutched in his right hand. Gasps came from the younger and older cast. "Cameron, that's not true, is it?" T.J. asked, looking over at the blond traitor. He looked over at her, the smirk still on his face. "It's true. We've never liked you two as a couple," Eden spoke up, walking over to Cameron and standing with him. More gasps came from the cast and crew. "What the hell is wrong with you two? You guys are sick in the head!" Blake shook his head in disgust.
"What is going on in here?" Steve asked as he walked into the room. Aidan told him what happened as well as mentioning what Cameron tried to do. Steve looked over at the pair with wide eyes, and I clutched onto Aidan's arm tighter.
"Cameron, come with me. Kate, take Serena to the Medical trailer and make sure she's okay," Steve said as Cameron walked out of the room with him. Kate was dressed in her Handler costume. She looked kind of scary, but when I met her kind eyes, I felt a sense of comfort. She and Aidan led to one of the white trailers and knocked on the door. Inside there was a man with short black hair and tanned skin. His face reminded me of my father. He looked kind and caring.
I sat in a small chair as he examined my wrists. Small red bruises were starting to form from how tight Cameron grabbed me. As the doctor lightly touched one of the bruises, I gasped in pain. "Are you okay?" he asked. "It's just sensitive," I nodded. After further examination, he determined that I would be okay. "What's going to happen to Cameron?" I asked, looking over at Aidan and Kate. "If I know Steve, he won't let Cameron off easy," Kate answered reassuringly.
After that, I didn't want to go back into the trailer. If I even took one glance at the trailer, I would break down. Gerard and Steve ended up giving Aidan the rest of the day off. I tried to insist that I would be fine, but Gerard and Steve insisted we go home and recover. "Could you grab my stuff from the trailer?" I asked. Aidan nodded and went inside, coming back two minutes later with our backpacks in hand.
I wrapped my arms around his neck. and I felt him set down the bags, and his arms wrapped around my shoulder blades. "You were right about Cameron. I never should've doubted you," I said, sobs at the edge of my voice. Aidan looked down for a moment before reconnecting his gaze with mine. "Don't worry. I'm going to make sure he never tries to hurt you again," He muffled.
His hands went up to my hair, and I felt him slowly began to stroke small strands, making my breath hitch. "Can we go home now?" I asked, looking up at him. His hands moved away from my hair, and he offered me his hand, and we took off, calling an Uber as we walked to the front of the studio.
