Chapter Eleven

Aidan's P.O.V.

Even though Serena had told me that I didn't have to worry about her and Cameron, part of me was screaming to tell him that he needed to lay off talking to her. Or not talk to her as much. "We should get some lunch," I chuckled after we pulled out of the long and cozy hug. "Yeah, my tummy's grumbling," She nodded, saying those words in a Klaus Hargreeves accent. We both let out loud fits of laughter. And when we calmed down, we walked out of the trailer and went inside the studio to where the others were eating their lunch.

"So, how's the singing coming, Serena?" Robert and Emmy asked, taking a seat next to us on one of the sofas. "Well, aside from having to write two new songs for the concert, it's going alright," Serena answered. Robert inhaled sharply and gave her a look of sympathy. I understood her struggles with songwriting. Sometimes you needed a big push to get you motivated to write. "I thought you had a few songs. Didn't you make demos? Why can't you tell them you have those?" Emmy asked.

"The label already knows about the demos. They were there when I was in the recording studio," Serena answered. Serena's face began to turn a ghostly white. That was the telltale sign for me that she was getting stressed out. I slipped a hand behind her back and gently rubbed it as she continued talking about the situation. Soon, T.J, Blake, and the others joined us on the sofa, most of them were talking to Serena, but Eden kept glancing over at me. "Doesn't it bother you?" She whispered.

"What?" I whispered back. "Serena. All the attention she's getting while you're stuck on the sidelines. That little spark you created with making her a star is going to turn into a flame. And all that attention you've gotten with being Number Five will dissipate. They'll only know you as the boyfriend of Serena Waterbury," Eden taunted. I was surprised. Eden never acted like this. Yeah, she had her moments, but she never talked bad about anyone, especially to other co-stars.

"Watch your mouth, Eden. That's my girlfriend your talking about," I hissed at her, trying not to bring attention to myself. "You're just trying to ignore the truth," She chuckled. "It's not going to happen. I'm sure of it," Sure, part of me was scared that Serena was going to eventually grow tired of me and leave in the dust. But knowing her kind heart, she would never do that.

"Baby?" Serena asked, bringing me out of those haunting thoughts. I met her ocean eyes, and her smile made me smile as well. "Yeah?" I asked, trying to act like nothing happened. The look on her face after I said that was silently asking me if I was okay. I didn't want her and Eden to fight after what was said, so I just lied and told her that I had a migraine. "Do you need any Advil or anything?" she asked. I assured her I would be fine, and we continued having the conversations until it was time for some of the younger cast to film some scenes.

Luckily, they weren't shooting a scene I was in. So that gave me some time to hang out with Serena and give her some guidance. Everyone started going their separate ways, and Serena and I went back to the trailer and snuggled together on the sofa. I looked up at the trailer roof while I felt Serena's body lightly pressed into mine as she spooned me.

"I just don't know how I'm going to get all of this done," she said softly, looking over to the counter where her notebook and pen were in the same place as before. "Don't force yourself to do a lot of work. Just do it in bits and pieces, and I'll bet by the time that concert arrives, you'll have two of the best songs ever," I said as I stroked small strands of her hair. She looked up at me, and I caught the smell of coconut from her hair. "I'm glad I have someone who understands my struggles and helps me," She smiled.

"Me too," I whispered before propping myself on my elbows and kissing her softly. The trailer door opened, and Serena quickly jumped off of me, and we acted like this intimate moment had never happened. "Can I sit right here?" Cameron asked once he made his presence known to us. "Uh, sure, go ahead," I nodded. I moved some pillows over, and he plopped down right in-between us and got closer to Serena.

We talked for a little while, well mostly Cameron talked to Serena while I tried to block out the fact he was here, yet again. "I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be right back," Serena said before getting off the couch and closing the bathroom door. The moment I heard the click lock, I moved next to Cameron and gave him a cold look. "Whoa, man. Who took a shit in your cereal this morning?" he asked, his eyes growing wide. "Cut the crap, I get that you and Serena are close because of some experiences you two have gone through, and I have no problem with that," I began.

"Then, what is the prob-" "The problem I have is that you're with her all the time while I'm working, and you continue to come in here while I'm hanging out with her. Come on, dude. You have your own trailer. On top of that, you're trying to get on top of her in front of me," I cut him off. I didn't care at the moment if it sounded like I was jealous. I wasn't, but I was pissed off that one of my guy friends was trying to hit on my girl.

"Bro, I'm not flirting with her. I know she's yours," Cameron denied. I opened my mouth to say something, but before the words could get out, the bathroom door opened, and Serena looked at the two of us. "What are you guys talking about?" Serena asked. I couldn't tell her about what I had said to Cameron.

"Guy stuff," I answered.
