11.2 You never heard of the Hamptons?
I decided to wonder around the hotel a bit, while Sam and Dean did the investigation part. I yawned a little walking down the stairs. "Carmen, wait up,"
I turned to see Max walking down the stairs towards me. "So now you know me?" I asked before we started to walk down.
"I'm sorry, I just -- I just don't want my sister to get dragged into this, you know?" I nodded looking down. "So, how long are you guys going to stay?" He suddenly asked.
"Uh, a few nights," I replied scratching the back of my neck. "Than we move on,"
"I get that, " He agreed as we stopped on a landing. He crossed his arms, "Your last name is Mahagov?" I nodded, "Mhm," His eyebrow raised as he just stared at me. "What?"
"Don't get me wrong. Your cute and all, but no one uses their real name in our line of work." I tilted my head and crossed my arms. "Uh-huh,"
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna tell my sister if you don't want. But, just so you know, guys like to know your real name when they ask you out."
I smirked a little. "You were going to ask me out?"
He shrugged, "Well, I was going to take you out to the Hamptons, but that would be to far."
"Never heard of it,"
"You never heard of the Hamptons?" He teased. "Nope," I said popping the p. We finally reached the ground. "And it's Carmen. Carmen Winchester."
He smirked nodding, "Well Carmen, I'm Max. Max West."
I smiled again, looking down before back at him. "Now if you excuse me I have a kitty to go check on."

It night when the cops showed up at the hotel after finding a body in a room. Dean and I walked outside to see Susan talking to a cop as the coroner carted away the body. Dean and I exchanged a look before looking back as Susan came over to us. "What happened?" I asked shoving hands into my pockets.
"The maid went in to turn down the sheets and he was just..hanging there," She informed.
"That's awful," Dean said, "He was a guest?"
"He worked for the company that bought the place," She replied. "I don't understand."
"What?" Dean and I asked together. "Had a lot of bad luck around here," She said, "Look, if you'd like to check out I'll give you a full refund."
Dean looked at me as I gave a little nod. He than looked back at Susan and gave her a small smile, "No thanks. We don't scare that easy,"
We walked back to our room, Sam was sitting there on a chair. "There's been another one. Some guy just hung himself in his room," I informed him. "Yeah. I saw," He said quietly. "We've gotta figure this out, and fast," Dean said before turning to Sam, "What'd you find out about Granny?"
"You're bossy," Sam blurred.
Dean and I exchanged a look before turning back at Sam. "Huh?" I asked. You're bossy," He said pointing at Dean and then at me, "And you're short." He let out a laugh as I frowned.
"Are you drunk?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, so?" Sam replied and Dean and I exchanged another look before looking around at the small bar seeing several empty bottles. "Stupid,"
We looked bat at Sam, "Dude, what are you thinking? We're working case," Dean said.
"That guy who hung himself. I could've save him," Sam said. "What are you talking about? You couldn't have done anything," I said as he looked at me with tears in his eyes, "That's an excuse, Carmen. I should have found a way to save him. I should have saved Ava too."
Dean walked closer to him, "Yeah, well, you can't save everyone. Even you said that." Sam slammed the table beside him, "No, Dean you don't understand, all right? The more people I save, the more I can change!"
"Change what?" I asked. "My destiny, Carmen!" He said.
"All right. Time for bed. Come on, Sasquatch," Dean said and looked at me, nodding to Sam. We helped Sam stand up, "Up we go," I said.
"I need you to watch out for me,"
"We always do," I replied giving him a soft smile. "No!" He disagreed, looking between me and Dean, "No, no, no. You have to watch out for me, all right? And if I ever ... turn into something that I'm not ... you have to kill me."
"Sam," I said in almost a whisper shaking my head. He looked at Dean, "Dean, Dad told you to do it, you have to. That's why he told you not tell Carmen. And I... I don't want her to stop that."
"Yeah, well, Dad's an ass," I snapped as both my brothers looked at me with a frown. "He should have never said anything. I mean, you don't do that, you just don't lay that kind of crap on your kids."
"You know, she's right," Dean said, looking at Sam but our brother just shook his head, "No. He was right to say it! Who knows what I might become? Even now, everyone around me dies!"
"Yeah, well, Carmen and I aren't dying, okay? And neither are you. Come on, sit down." Dean said and we sat him down on one bed but he just sat, reaching up and clutching Dean's jacket, "No, please! Dean, you're the only one who can do it. You can't let Carmen stop you, promise."
"Don't ask that of me,'
"Dean, please. You have to promise me," Sam begged.
Dean stared at him for a moment before glancing at me and then back at him, "I promise," Sam let out a sigh, "Thanks."
"All right. Come on," Dean said, shoving Sam back on the bed. He fall back, turning over on his stomach and planted his face on the pillow, hugging it with both arms. Dean let out a sigh before I dragged him out of the room. "Carmen,"
"What the hell are you thinking?"whispered hitting his arm.
"He wouldn't shut up about it," He whispered. "I promised Drunk Sammy, not sober," I stared at him for a moment before taking a deep breath and slowly nodding. "I'll be back soon," I muttered before walking off. I headed downstairs and walked down to the antique, empty bar. I walked closer to see Sherwin behind the bar. He looked at me after pouring a drink for himself, "Find any good antiques?" I shook me head, "No, I uh got distracted."
I sat down on the chair in front and he nodded, "Have a drink," He grabbed another glass and I sighed, "Gladly," He poured a drink in the glass, "So, the guy just killed himself, huh?" I asked.
"That kind of thing seems to be going around lately," He replied, handing me the glass.
"Thanks," I said. "And yeah, I heard about the other ones. It's almost like this hotel is cursed or something." I took a sip and he nodded, "Every hotel has its spilled blood. If people only knew what's gone on in some of those rooms they've checked into," He explained before taking a sip from his own glass.
I nodded slowly, as a small smile appeared on my lips, "I take it you know a whole lot about the place, don't you?"
"Down the the last nail,"
"I'd love to hear some stories," I said. He looked from his glass to me in amusement. "You should never say that to an old man." I scoffed, raising a brow. "Come with me," He said walking around the bar. I followed him out of the bar to the living room, heading up a wide staircase. He showed me old framed photographs on the walls.
"This is little Ms. Susan, her brother, little Mr. Max, and their mother Rose. Happier days," He explained.
"They're not happy now?" I asked with a frown. "Well, would you be, leaving the only home you ever knew?" He asked. "I don't know, I never really had one." I said honestly. "Well, this is Rose's home," Sherwin explained. "It's been in the family over a century. Used to be the family estate. And now she gets to live in some senior living graveyard, and they tear this place down."
"That's too bad," I said sadly before we walked back down. "I hear Rose isn't feeling well, either."
"No she isn't,"
"What's wrong with her?"
"It's not my business to say," He replied.
I slowly nodded, looking at the table cluttered with pictures. I looked at a picture frame with two baby pictures of the same baby. "Who's this?"
"That's Rose, when she was a little girl," Sherwin replied as he picked up a yellowing photograph of younger Rose sitting on a chair with young black women. I frowned as I saw that the woman had a quincunx necklace. "Who's that with her?" I asked. "That's her nanny, Marie. She looked after Rose more than her own mother," Sherwin answered before he turned around and walked towards the fire place, placing the picture onto the mantel.
