Tessa and I were walking down a hallway. "Can I just say, I'm very impressed," I admitted, glancing at her and then looked ahead.
"With what?"
"You. Most people in your spot would be jelli right now, but you're taking this pretty well. Maybe even a little better than me," I said as we stopped walking. "Don't get me wrong. I was pretty freaked at first. But now, I don't know. Maybe I'm dealing," Teassa said.
"So you're okay with dying?" I asked.
"No, of course not. I just think, whatever's gonna happen's gonna happen. It's out of my control, it's fate," Tessa replied.
I frowned, "Well, that's crap," She just looked at me. "Sorry, I spend a lot of time with my older brother, Dean," I said making her giggle a bit.
"But that's besides the point, you always have a choice. You can either roll over and die or you can keep fighting, no matter-" I was cut off by the intercom, "Room 237, code blue. Dr. Kripke to room 237, code blue."
I started walking to the room, "Where are you going?" Tessa asked. "Just wait here," I said and I started to run down the hallway to another room. The same spirit hovered over a little girl. It reached a hand onto her face.
"Get away from her!" I yelled.
I lunged at the spirit, but then it vanished. The nurses that were resuscitation stopped. "All right, let's call it," A doctor said. "Time of death, 5:11 p.m.," A woman said. "At least she's not suffering anymore," A nurse said. I sadly looked down and then back at the little girl.

I was in my room, staring between my heart monitor and myself watching it go up and down. Sam and Dean walked into the room quietly, Sam had a brown paper bag in his arms.
"This is stupid, you do relizal that right?" Dean remarked. "Come on, man. It's the only way," Sam said, making look at them confused.
Sam looked at my body, "Carmen, I think-I know you're around somewhere. And if you are, don't make fun of us for this, but um, well, there's one way we can talk," Sam said.
"This was all his idea, so make fun of him, not me," Dean added as Sam pulled out a box labeled 'Mystical Talking Board'.
I laughed a bit, "You gotta be kidding me," I said. "What do you think?" Sam asked Dean. "I think that Carmen is probably laughing," Dean said, shrugging. I shook my head a bit laughing, "A little bit yeah," I said.
Sam rolled his eyes at Dean, shaking his head. "Do you want to get Carmen back or not?" He asked and Dean sighed. "Fine, let's get this started," Dean said.
Sam circled around the bed and sat cross legged on the floor. He opened the box and pulled out the board as Dean sat opposite Sam in front of the board. "Okay, your ready?" Sam asked Dean. Dean sighed, "Okay, let's do it,' He said.
My brothers put their hands poised on the pointer. "Carm? Carmen, are you here?" Sam asked. "I feel like I'm at a middle schoolers slumber party," I said with a smirk. I sat between Dean and Sam and I sighed. I placed my fingers on the pointer and slowly, concentrated. It slide to 'YES' on the board. "That moved, it moved!" I said shocked and noticing that Sam and Dean were too.
"I'll be damned," Dean said.
I smiled widely, " Hallelujah, know you can finally hear me." I said. Sam laughed in relief, "It's good to hear from you, Shorty. It hasn't been the same without you, Carm." He said.
Dean smiled a little, "That's right," he said.
I placed my fingers on the pointer again and started sliding it. "Carmen, what?" Dean asked. "H? U? Hunt? Hunting?" Sam asked. "What, are you hunting?" Dean asked. I slid it to 'YES'.
"It's in the hospital, what you're hunting? Do, do you know what it is?" Sam asked. "One question at a time, Bigfoot," I said. "What is it?" Dean asked.
I slide the pointer again during the following, to R, E, A, P, E, R. "I don't think it's killing people. I think it's taking them. You know...When their time's up," I said. "A reaper," Sam breathed out.
"Carmen. Is it after you?" Dean asked after a moment. I slid it over to 'YES'. "If It's here naturally, there's no way to stop it," Sam said.
"You can't kill death," Dean said. I nodded slowly, "Yeah," I muttered. "Carmen, you're," Sam started as I moved the pointer, 'S, A, L, E, M.'
"Salem?" Dean asked as I slide it over to 'YES'. "He's with Bobby and is okay. Bobby says that he's missing his owner." Dean said making me nodded and smile.
"I'm screwed," I said after a moment. Sam shook his head, "No. No, no, no, um, there's gotta be a way," He said and looked at Dean. "There's gotta be a way."
Dean stood up from the floor, "Let's go, Dad'll know what to do," He said and he left as Sam stood up and then he followed behind while I stayed behind, watching them disappeared down the hallway.

I was still in my room but this time focusing on my body, something was off. I looked towards the door when I saw Sam and Dean coming back. Dean was carrying Dad's journal.
"Dad wasn't in his room," Dean said and I frowned. "Then where the hell is he?" I asked. "But we got Dad's journal, so who knows? Maybe there's something here," Sam said as Dean sat on the edge of my bed and Sam stood next to him.
Dean flipped open the journal and leafs through it. Sam glancing up at my unconscious form occasionally. I walked over to them and smiled slightly. "Thanks for not giving up on me, guys," I said.
Dean turned to a page. "Reapers," Dean read and Sam leaned over. I did the same and read the page. My eyes grew wide, "That bitch." I snapped.
I left the room and walked down the hallway until I stopped when I saw Tessa in an empty room. She was sitting on the edge of the bed and she was dressed differently. She smiled, " Hello, Carmen."
I slowly walked into the room. "You know, you read the most darndest things. For example, did you know that reapers can alter human perception? I didn't. Basically they can make themselves appear however they want. Like, uh, a pretty girl. You're much prettier than the last reaper I met," I said.
"I was wondering when you would figure it out," Tessa said.
"I should have known. That whole 'accepting fate' crap of yours is far too laid back for a dead girl. But the mother, and the body, I'm still trying to wrap my finger around that one." I said.
"It's my sandbox, I can make you see whatever I want," Tessa said. "What, is it fun for you?" I asked. "No. You didn't give me much choice. You saw my true form and you flipped out. This was the only way I could get you to talk to me," She said.
"Fine. We're talking. What the hell do you want to talk about?" I snapped. Tessa got up from the bed.
"How death is nothing to fear," She said as she walked up to me. She touched my cheek gently. "It's your time to go Carmen."

3rd Person Pov
In the boiler room, John had finished the chalk symbol, he placed candles and a black bowl around it. He said something in Latin and sliced a knife across his palm, drawing blood and dripping it on the bowl.
He lit a match and dropped it in; the sand in the bowl flared and got out. John stood up and looked around. Suddenly, a hand grabbed his shoulder and John turned around and saw a man.
"What the hell are you doing down here, buddy?"
"I can explain," John quickly said.
"Yeah? You're going to explain to security. Come on. You follow me," The man said and started to walk away. "Hey," John called as he pulled the Colt and cocked it.
The man turned around. "How stupid do you think I am?" John asked with a smirk.
The man's eyes glowed yellow. It was Azazel. He smiled, "You really want an honest answer to that?" Two possesses men in lab coats stood behind John. "You conjuring me, John. I'm surprised. I took you for a lot of things. But suicidally reckless wasn't one of them,"
"I could always shoot you," John said. "You could always miss," Azazel said with a laugh. "And you've only got one try, don't'cha? Did you really think you could trap me?"
"Oh, I don't want to trap you," John said and then he lowered the gun. "I want to make a deal," John said. Azazel looked at him intrigued.
In Carmen's room, Sam and Dean stood by Carmen's bed. Sam had his hands in his pockets while Dean held Carmen's hand. "Carmen, are you here?" Sam asked and he looked around, hoping shs will be.
"We couldn't find anything in the boom. We don't know how to help you," Dean said. "But we'll keep trying, all right? As long as you keep fighting. I mean, come on you can't, you can't leave us," Sam said.
Carmen's Pov
I looked out the dark window. "Look, I'm sure you've heard this before, but...you've gotta make an exception, you've gotta give me a break." I said.
"Stage three: bargaining," Tessa said. I looked at her. "I'm serious. My family's in danger. I can't leave. We're kind of in the middle of a war," I said.
"The fight's over,"
"No, it isn't,"
"It is for you. Carmen. You're not the first soldier I've plucked from the field. They all feel the same. They can't leave. Victory hangs in the balance. But they're wrong. The battle goes on without them," Tessa said.
"No. My brothers. They could die,"
"Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Nothing you can do about it," She said. "It's not my time to leave. I won't go," I protest. "Carmen, it's not a mistake. It is your fate. It's an honorable death," She said.
"Fate? Screw your fate it wasn't fate for my mother to die was it? Now I'm not gunna let people decide what's my fate. My mother's choice was death because she did what's best for me. And that's what I'm going to do!" I said before running out of the room.
"Carmen!" I heard her call after me.

"Why, John, you're a sentimental. If only your kids knew how much their daddy loved them," Azazel said.
"It's a good trade. You care a hell of a lot more about this gun than you do for Carmen," John said. "Don't be so sure. I like Carmen. So much potential in that one, but she's not a threat, not yet. Your older son as well. And neither is your other son," John lowered his head. "You know the truth, right? About Sammy? And the other children?" Azazel asked.
"Yeah. I've known for a while," John said as he looked at him. "But Sam doesn't, does he? You've been playing dumb," Azazel said. "Can you bring Carmen back? Yes or no?" John asked coldly. "No. But I know someone who can. It's not a problem," Azazel said with a smile.

Carmen's Pov
I just kept running till I stopped. I was now in the Child's Ward. I walked up to the glass and smiled at the baby's.
"Beautiful aren't they?" A voice said walking next to her. Carmen looked over and was surprised, "Mom?"
Emmaline looked at Carmen and smiled, "My love we don't have much time but your about to wake up and when you do run. Never stop running, keep Salem with you at all times. He'll keep you safe and protect. He's the only one you can trust." She fastly said.
Carmen nodded her head, "I love you so much, baby. I never wanted you to find out this way but I think your ready to find out who your father is,"
Before Carmen could say anything she was spin around to meet with Tessa he eyes glowed yellow. "Today's your lucky day, honey," It said. The Demon placed a hand on my forehead, as I cried in pain.
3rd Person Pov
Sam and Dean were still sitting on the bed as Carmen stared gasped and started gasping and choking on the tube. "Carmen?" Sam said. "Help! We need help!" Dean called imto the hallway.

Carmen's Pov
Sam had his arms wrapped around my shoulders as Dean sat on the edge of my bed holding my hand. "I can't explain it. The edema'a vanished. The internal contusions are healed. Your vitals are good. You have some kind of angel watching over you," The doctor said with a smile.
"Thanks, doc," I said with a smile. Dean and Sam smiled at the doctor as he left. I turned to my brothers. "So, a Reaper was after me?" I asked. "Yeah," Sam said.
"How'd I get away?"
"We don't know," Dean replied. "You really don't remember anything?" Sam asked. I shook my head. "No. Except this pit in my stomach. Like...something's wrong," I said.
There was a knock at the door. Me and my brothers looked at the door. We saw Dad hovered in the doorway. Dad smiled at me
"How you feeling Angel?" Dad asked walking into my room.
"I'll live, I really want Salem but other than that I'm fine." I said as he nodded walking over to my bed. "Which reminds me I have something for you." Dean said as he pushed Sam up and they walked out of the room as silence filled the room.
"Do you know why I call you Princess?" He asked as I shook my head. "Your mom told me that I was the only one she knew that would treat you like a princess." He said as I smiled a little looking down.
"Why'd you lie to your brother's?"
"I don't really remember anything, but...I think I talked to my mom." I admitted as my dad's widen. "What she say?"
"That I should take Salem and run and never stop running. That he was the only one I could trust. And that she loved me and didn't want me to find out who my father was in a bad way." I said in a confused tone.
Dad was quite, "Do you know something that you aren't telling me?" I asked.
"When your mother brought you to us she gave me a letter. She told me that you need to read these when I thought was best." He started taking a breath. "I figured I would probably lose it so I gave Bobby the letter. You should ask him about it," He said as I nodded. "You didn't read it?" I asked. "I knew your mother wanted you to be the first to read it." He said.
"Carmen your mother truly loved you. She was so kind and so caring for everything and everyone. You remind me so much like her."
"Sometimes I think that I didn't raise you the way your mother wanted you to....But when I saw you care for that cat as much as you do. That's makes me smile because that's exactly what your mother did." Dad said as my eyes watered up.
"You guys did a great job and still are," I said smiling wiping my eyes.
"Dad, are you okay?" I asked. Dad smiled and nodded. "Yeah," he said holding my hand squeezing it.
Dean knocked on the door, "Am I intruding?" He asked. Me and Dad shook our heads. "Good because I think someone wants to see you." Dean said as Salem's head popped out of his bag.
I smiled widely, "Salem, I've missed you." I said as Dean pulled him out and gave me him. I pulled him close and swinged side to side hugging him.
I looked over towards Dean. "Thank you for sneaking him in." I said noticing that they were both smiling too.
"Oh Carmen I think you would want this back," Dean said getting something out of his pocket and handed it to me. It was her mother's necklace, the red stone was shiny. It had a new chain on it. "Bobby fixed it up," He added.
"Dean can I talk to you for a moment outside?" Dad asked standing up and walking over to him as I went back to hugging Salem. Dean nodded and Dad gave me a smile and kissed the top of my head before walking out with Dean.
I turned back to Salem, "Salem we have a lot to talk about," I said as Salem laid down between my legs. "We can talk later but for now let's just rest,"
Her eyes shot open hearing commotion coming from her Dad's room. She peered around the corner of the doorway. She saw the doctor and nurses attempt resuscitating her dad. All I could hear was ringing and a distance voice.
"I'll call it. Time of death: 10:41 a.m."
