NEW YEARS AT the burrow was a mix of butter bear, soft music and laughter. Molly and Arthur Weasley had left the house for the ministry party, leaving in charge Percy.

Percy, how not, locked himself in his room. So Fred and George invited some Gryffindor's over, including Katie Bell, Oliver Wood, and some others.

Savannah finished washing her hands when a notification lit up her phone, it was Theo.

She smiled inwardly at the mention of her half-brother, that was until she heard the audio he had sent her. Her smile fell and she rushed out the toilette.

Theo seemed drunk, it wasn't a rare occurrence at New Years, but his cruel drunken words were.

She bumped into someone, but she was too distracted to know who it was.

She stumbled into an empty room, and then she saw it. Ron and Hermione kissing in a corner of the room, unaware of her presence. The clock struck midnight, and those two seemed completely into it.

The girl rushed out, trying to give them some intimacy, blocking out Theodore's message.

SAVANNAH WAS sad, angry, frustrated. Mostly at Theodore, who blamed her for what happened between his parents.

It wasn't her fault, but yet she couldn't help but blame herself. If her mother hadn't gotten with her absent father, who didn't even bother to stay to see her, maybe things would've been better.

She clutched her butter beer tighter, watching the garden, alone in the cold.

Everyone was laughing inside, but the brunette didn't feel like going back to the party.

She felt someone sit beside her, Fred.

He smiled at her, so effortlessly. Had he always been that pretty or was she just too sad?

Savannah wasn't sure what happened after, or even how. But at some point in the night her lips met Fred Weasley's. His hand went down to the curve of her waist, she messed up his hair with her hand.

When Savannah woke up, New Years was over.
