NATSU'S P.O.V:

After re reading mine and Lucy's previous dm conversation I sighed and turned my phone off.

'Should I say hello?' I thought while scratching the back of my head and walking nervously with a bouquet of white roses in my left hand.

'Hey Luce you're hot and I'm popular let's date!' No idiot Natsu that will just make her mad.

'Sup you wanted to meet?' No! Sounds more like Gajeel.

While I was walking towards the park, and thinking of what to say to her. I haven't noticed a certain blonde girl standing near the fountain. And she suddenly turned around, her long golden hair was flying from the wind.

After a little while she smiled at me.
But I didn't smile back, I opened my mouth to say something but no words came out. I was paralyzed.

'Speak mouth speak!' I hissed to myself but
not even a little sigh was heard.
I was mentally cursing myself with
every bad word that existed.

While I was mentally killing myself I haven't realized that the blonde girl was already in front of me.

"Hello" she said and greeted me with another one of her super attractive smiles, oh boy that smile...

I almost tripped, oh kami why am I so nervous?
Get it together Dragneel! You've talked to dozens
of girls so why act like a shy, little school girl in front of Lucy Heartfilia? It's not like she's the best of them all.

'well she kind of is...' my inner voice spoke.

"Earth to Dragneel?" Luce said and giggled, oh boy that cute giggle...

"Um ***cough*** Hi, uh hello yeah, good after noon Lucy. Did you sleep well? The weather sure is windy. Oh look we're in a park." I said and mentally cursed myself again while she laughed.

'Idiot what the hell do you think you're doing!? Huh where's that lack of confidence you had earlier?' My inner voice asked as I nodded.

'Shut up' I said to myself

And she laughed again but when I looked at her, I felt my cheeks heat up. Her eyes were slightly closed from laughter, hair still flying from the wind. She was wearing a white dress that went up to her knees, her body was perfect as always. Lips were red, lashes long and thick. I stood there and admired her before I understood that I've been staring for too long.

Her eyes were no longer closed instead the big brown orbs were staring at me, she watched me while slightly smiling and wiping the tears of happiness with her pinkie. I made her laugh, am I proud? For sure I am!

--- {They talked for a little while}.

We stood there in silence but not the awkward type of silence, indeed a calming one. The only sounds that were to be heard were from the children playing and the wind blowing. The sounds of calmness and relaxation.

"It really is a beautiful day" she whispered

"Yeah" I agreed and half smiled at her.

"I used to come here with my family quite often" she said and I immediately saw the sorrow in her beautiful brown eyes.

"Why don't you come here anymore? It sure is a beautiful and a perfect place to relax and have a picnic with your family" I said, and she smiled at me. But something was different from the previous smiles she had on before. This smile looked like a forced one.

"After my mothers death everyone got very busy, my father worked and still works 10 hours a day, my half sister Michelle left for college without a goodbye. And I forgot about this place, I thought it was useless to come here if she won't be here with me anymore" as soon as these words have left her mouth, I felt a sudden pain in my chest.

'She's knows what's it like...'

"I'm sorry ... that I asked" I said guiltily

"Hey don't murder yourself for something you didn't know" she said and than turned all of her attention to the big fountain in front of us.

"III have lost someone as well" I said with a shaky voice.

"Yyyou have?" She asked and looked down, at the sight of her being shy my cheeks suddenly heated up. But as soon as she looked up at me, I looked away while blushing and nodded hardly. As I swallowed loudly and began speaking.

"I've never met my real parents before nor have I ever known them. I lived in an orphanage but soon I was adopted by a man who deserves to not only be called my father but a hero as well. Igneel has raised me like his own son, sometimes I even forgot that I was from the orphanage. He was always there for me through thick and thin. He was my role model, my best friend, my everything, he wasn't only my hero but my father as well." I said. and gazed at the sky.

"Igneel sounds like a great person, you must be very happy to have someone like him" Luce said and smiled.

"I was"

"What do you mean?" She asked as her eyes widened

"5 years ago he suddenly disappeared, I searched for him everywhere but no sign of Igneel was to be seen. But 2 years ago I heard a sudden rumor that the legendary Igneel who's nickname was 'the fire dragon' died from a car crash... The nickname was given to him because of his knowledges about fire and he used to be a fire eater in the past. But anyways I believe that the rumors are false, because Igneel is not the type of a person to have such a sudden and simple death" I said blankly.

"Listen I'm not feeling well, I think I'll just go okay? I'm sorry" I said with a sudden feeling of guilt but talking about Igneel just made me suffer every time I mentioned him.

I started pacing while still holding that stupid bouquet of roses in my hands and feeling like a complete and total jerk. Since I've left her behind well why did I even come here in the first place? To comfort her but all I did was act like a jerk and than head back home because a topic about Igneel was brought up? We talked and had fun but I ruined it all!

I really am a jerk, a loser, pathetic idiot but before I could finish mentally murdering myself. I felt someone's arms wrap around my back. I looked down and saw a pair of cute hands hugging my stomach.

My eyes suddenly widened and my heart suddenly started racing in an unbelievable speed.

"Luce..." I almost whispered

"If you knew how I felt, if you know that it hurts me as well why'd you just walk off like that?" She asked while shaking.

"Lucy I" but she cut me off

"No please don't apologize or blame yourself for it, it's not your fault neither it is mine. It's not our fault I mean they had to leave someday" she said and tightened the back hug.

"I used to blame myself for her death everyday but eventually I understood that it wasn't my or anyone's fault it was her choice to leave. She suffered and has been through a lot of pain. She had to give up someday... And so she did" she said, and sobs were heard.

She was crying...

"I'm sorry" was all I said, I took her arms of me and walked off. Because that's the best thing I could do right now, just walk off and leave her the girl who understood you and made you feel like everything was suddenly okay. Well I am Natsu The Jerk Dragneel anyway. I'm sorry Luce I truly am...
Her sobs got louder and my steps got harder and faster.
