LUCY'S  P.O.V

"You never told me that it will hurt so much" I whispered and cried a little more.

Here I am sitting on a red bench holding my legs
against my chest and crying because of love.

"I wonder if you've been through that pain as well mama."

*FLASHBACK (AUTHOR'S P.O.V)*

Little Lucy was sitting on her mothers lap and listening to her mother Layla who was reading Lucy's favorite story 'The princess & the dragon'.

"The dragon loved his princess" Layla read

"Like daddy loves you mama?" The curious little girl asked

"Yes sweetheart like daddy loves mama" Layla replied and smiled at her little girl.

Before Layla could have the chance to continue reading the story. Lucy spoke "Mama?"

"Yes Goldie?" Layla always called her daughter  Goldie, because of the color of her hair Lucy had short golden locks that barely reached her shoulders.

"What is love?" Lucy suddenly asked at what Layla couldn't help but giggle at her daughters curiosity.

"Well Lucy love is a feeling you develop for someone who always makes you feel special, makes you smile, laugh and if that person is always there for you than that's definitely love. But be aware Lucy there is a huge difference between a real love and friendship." Layla explained, the girl suddenly raised her hand in the air.

"What is it Goldie?"

"What if I fall in love with my best friend?" Lucy asked while Layla was trying to think of an easy answer.

"I'm not sure that's something good sweetheart, unless that friend of yours will like you back but usually it's for the best to leave friendships as friendships but nothing more." Lucy hopped off her mothers lap and doze off in her thoughts.

After a little while the little blonde girl spoke

"But look mum the princess fell in love with the dragon even though they were best friends! And he fell for the princess as well. They knew each other so well and that's why they fell in love because friends know everything about each other! They've been together through thin and thick, and had so many adventures which is why things worked out between the princess and her dragon, and that is why they had their happy ending. It's because friends are the people who will always be there for you and he never failed to be there for her, oh and remember how he made her laugh when her daddy died? He cared for her so much that in the end he almost died rescuing her from the bad dragon who hated people and the bad dragon was his own father." Lucy explained to her mother who stared at her daughter shocked at how much the 8 year old knew.

"Lucille remind mama how old you are" Layla said and chuckled

"Turning 8 tomorrow mama! Oh don't tell me you forgot about my birthday you never forget" Goldie frowned and sat back on her mothers lap

"Of course I didn't forget! My princess is turning 8 tomorrow and she's going to have the best birthday party" The mother kissed her daughters nose and then her husband Jude walked inside the room.

"Daddy I want to have a dragon as well!" She shouted and jumped at her father

"But sweetheart you already have 12 dragons in your room and they're all in different colors don't tell me you want another one"

"No daddy I want to have a real dragon! Like princess Luna she's so lucky!"

"Every princess needs a prince Lucy and someday you will meet your prince"

"Mama already met her prince ages ago Lucy" Said Layla and kissed her husband on a cheek.

"But I don't want to meet a prince, I want to meet a dragon! And marry one just like Luna, daddy she married a dragon not the mean and rich stuck up prince Peter but her best friend who also happened to be a dragon his name is Naleon"

"Than you'll meet your dragon Lucy and he better have my word before he marries my little princess" Jude said after throwing Lucy in the air and catching her, the little happy girl laughed and hugged her father.

**FLASHBACK ENDS**

"I miss you mum" Lucy whispered and wiped the tears off her wet cheeks.

"There you are!" A familiar voice shouted

The blonde girl suddenly stopped crying and stayed silent for a little while, but before she could look up
to see who had just interrupted her flashback moment. She felt someone pull her from the bench and someone's hands wrap around her waist.

He hugged her like she was the only thing that
mattered to in this world, the boy took a hold of her waist and rested his head on her shoulder.

"Natsu" she whispered and smiled to herself while her eyes were closed.

"You scared me please don't run off like that again" he said and closed his eyes as well.

Lucy slowly pulled away from the hug and rubbed her eyes but before she could open her mouth to say something, she let the anger go and wrapped her shaky arms around the boys neck and gave him a small peck on his cheek, she then hugged Natsu who immediately hugged her back.

As soon as she felt his hands wrap around her waist
she blushed and chuckled.

"Baka" she whispered

"Your Baka" he whispered back.
