I.I. Percy Jackson Almost Drowns.

Luke Castellan was this sort of legend, ichor seemed to flow more in his veins than in the other campers. Luke was amazing- the coolest. And the only person Elektra had ever needed. The only person who had bothered to take care of her.

So no, Elektra didn't hate him. What she did hate however, was how he treated her like a child. Leaving in her in camp and staging a fight so the other campers wouldn't suspect she actually wanted to destroy the gods.

Luke was Camp Halfblood's number one undesirable. Even though that was not entirely true- because some people still held him in regard and more campers were joining him

Take Ajax Cole- Elektra's best friend from cabin seven- who preached he hated Luke Castellan and blah blah blah kill the witch blah blah blah, but actually, liked him a great deal! Wanted to join his army and whatnot. Talk about being fake.

"Wouldn't it be funny if a giant tentacle just grabbed us and plunged us into the lake?" He asked that day.

The sun was hiding behind thick wispy clouds, blue and purple fused into one single gradient. Some naiads, that enjoyed the winter chill, were weaving wicker baskets and giggling, on the opposite side of the canoe lake.

Ajax was sat beside Elektra on the pier, facing the icy lake. At winter it wasn't pleasant, just a reminder of how fun the canoe races could be in a warmer season- going into to water now was plain stupid.

The son of Apollo wasn't bad looking at all; tan skin, a steady hand that came in handy in the infirmary, clear eyes, but he had dark hair- which set him aside from his other blonde siblings.

"Aiden, that one aggressive Ares kid gave me a real beating yesterday," Elektra rubbed a purplish bruise on her upper arm, "perhaps if a kraken grabbed us we would be excused from hand-to-hand combat this afternoon."

He pffd, "he was just embarrassed you beat him at sword fight- you know how his pride gets."

"Well," she paused, laying down on the wooden planks, "I only embarrassed him at sword fight because she embarrassed me at the climbing wall."

Perhaps it was because her godly grandparents ( Zeus and Hera ), were also prideful and prone to revenge if shamed, and so Elektra couldn't help being the same. Or maybe she was in clear need of parental discipline- which she clearly wasn't getting any time soon.

Ajax laughed, sort of laughter that made you widen your lips and want to laugh with him. "The climbing wall? Ele-"

"Wait, what's that?" She pointed at a shiny orb? flickering in the sky.

"What are you..." He widened his eyes. "What..."

The object was beginning to have form- a school bus? Elektra wondered if she was accidentally high ( had the candy the Stolls had given her been poisoned? It would be much like them to lace the candy, and for her to eat it ).

"It's coming at us!" Ajax bolted straight, pulling Elektra to her feet. "Let's go."

The school bus- an actual school bus- was only a few hundred yards away, with smoke rolling off the back part and all.

"Run!"

Suddenly the bus pitched forward at a forty-five-degree angle, slamming into the Camp Half-Blood canoe lake with a huge FLOOOOOOSH!

Steam billowed up, sending the frightened naiads scrambling out of the water with their half-woven wicker baskets.

The bus was slowly sinking into the freezing water. "Let's go!" Ajax tugged her arm. "It's insane-"

But then Elektra saw a flicker of brown hair, there were people inside the bus. Through the clear water she could spot human-like figures, girl judging by the shapes and long hair.

As previously mentioned, going into the lake in winter was plain stupid. Elektra was plain stupid.

She tugged Ajax's hand, "there's people! They could drown-"

Elektra took off her jumper, that would only imped her swimming, and jumped into the water.

She wasn't wrong to say it was icy cold, it was. Her skin felt like as if a thousand tiny needles were pinching her, her cheeks felt slapped repeatedly.

But she wasn't wrong, there were people in the bus. A bunch of girl she had never seen in her life, swam in the direction to the surface, they shot her funny looks Elektra wasn't aware of. She even spotted a small boy being dragged by another older girl.

But then she saw a boy in the bus- and when she got closer they were actually two. The first boy with dark hair was trying to release the second boy from his seatbelt. Hazily through her half-lidded eyelids she could see some hooves, a satyr she realised.

The boy that wasn't trapped did something funny with his hands; either it was come here! or get away! Elektra chose the first.

She pressed her shoes against the seat and pulled forwards, the not-trapped boy did the same beside her, both of them tugging. Suddenly the seatbelt snapped releasing the satyr.

They were trying to say something she realised, but with her diminish oxygen and the fact she didn't have ultra vision under water, Elektra didn't know what.

They began to swim towards the surface, and the daughter of Hebe took it as her cue to get out- she wasn't a fish, she couldn't breathe underwater forever.

As her head hit the surface she started shivering, clattering her teeth and cursing her stupidness. Ajax was waiting for her at the pier, handing out blankets to the girls ( who glared at him in response ). And there was Thalia Grace... and the scrawny looking kid?

Elektra was doing everything in her power to ignore Thalia's stare. Ever since she had stopped being a tree- actually, this is not a lie- they had been dodging each other. Or rather the younger girl, but Thalia hadn't tried much so it was mutual. Thalia chose Annabeth, ( even though the word 'choosing' was a bit dramatic ).

Elektra managed to get to the pier back alive, phew. Ajax was waiting with his arms crossed like a mother hen, "you're dripping wet," he handed her a towel, "let's get you warm."

She gratefully took the towel and started rubbing her hair and face, "so who are our guests?" Ajax directed her towards Thalia Grace and her gang of pissed-of-looking girls.

They weren't much older than Elektra or Ajax, they wore matching ski parkas and jeans, slung to their backs were bows. What an interesting bunch, the brunette thought.

One of them, the oldest of the group with a silver circlet in her head, stepped forward. "Are thou dumb?"

She was clearly looking at Elektra, her steeley grey eyes were making her nervous. "Yeah no problem, welcome for the help."

She slanted her eyes, "I didn't thank thee."

"Okay..."

Suddenly Ajax looked over her shoulder, "you gotta be kidding me..."

Elektra bolted to find a dry Percy Jackson and a soaking wet Grover Underwood. Suddenly her cheeks burnt up, and not from the cold.

Had she really been so stupid to try and save a son of the sea god from drowning? Percy Jackson of all people? She wanted to go back to the lake and not come back up.

Ajax didn't offer them a towel, didn't bother hiding he had two spare ones either. "Look what the wind has brought."

"Actually," said a voice from behind, "the sun chariot did."

The guy looked about seventeen or eighteen, and for a hopeful second, Elektra thought it was Luke- yeah, she was going insane.

But they had the same sandy hair and outdoorsy good looks. But it wasn't Luke. This guy was taller, with no scar on his face like Luke's. His smile was brighter and more playful, like Luke's in the old days. He wore jeans and loafers and a sleeveless T-shirt, and how not, completely dry.

"Well hello, Ajax," he smiled brightly, "who's your friend here?" Suddenly a warm breeze crossed through the lake, drying everyone that had been soaked. "You're welcome." He smiled at Elektra.

The words died on her throat, she could only gape and hope nobody noticed- they did.

Ajax regained his composure quickly, "Apollo."

Elektra wanted to low whistle. Ajax and his father didn't get along, specially not after his mother's death.

"Why so somber?" He said with glee. "It's not every day you get to see your dad!"

Ajax glowered, "thankfully."

Apollo's smile kind of froze, he probably wasn't expecting his son to be so mad. Ajax looked at Elektra, "we're going to be late for hand-to-hand combat."

Sensing the situation, and the fact she still felt very stupid after the lake fiasco, she nodded. "Let's go."

Apollo tensed his smile, "but..."

"Annabeth is missing." They all tuned to look at Percy, who had just dropped a bomb. "The mission..."

Ajax and Elektra looked at each other, a mutual understanding.

She smoothed her orange camp shirt and smiled pleasantly, "why don't we accompany you and the guest to Mr.D? After all we witnessed the entire thing."

Nobody argued with them.
