✸ I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY

chapter four—capture the flag

  𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐰𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 she had to help her siblings train for capture the flag.. and they were sick of her bickering but she had to make sure they were doing there best, "no, you're doing it wrong."

azari went up to one of her siblings and took the sword from her, "you have to make sure you strike like this! especially when they come at you and you don't even know it! you have to watch your surroundings." she explained and her sibling nodded understanding her.

"a bit much don't you think?" she heard someone say and when she turned around and saw annabeth she had a chuckle and crossed her arms looking at her, "coming from you?" azari said.

annabeth rolled her eyes at her comment and azari remembered what was gonna happen today with percy "you have the whole thing planned out right? we leave him on his own and he has to figure it out himself." annabeth nodded she knew their plan was gonna go perfectly as long as none of them helped percy. sooner or later annabeth walked off to train her siblings again.

as azari was watching her siblings train she looked ahead and saw percy with luke.. he was already looking at her she just had a small smile and looked back at her siblings. after a couple of hours of training, it was finally time for azari to put her gear on and helmet. she was ready to win.. and she knew they were.

chiron came along and he explained the rules as usual azari focused her attention on percy and he looked nervous she wanted to say something but stood silent. the horn blew and now everyone had to go to their places before the game actually started...

"hey... you know what to do right?" annabeth asked as she pulled azari to the side. azari nodded and she knew what the plan was she just had to take percy somewhere and just leave him.. annabeth nodded, "good luck." she walked off and azari walked up to percy, "hey.. you're with me come on." she said as she started walking and percy quickly followed her.

as they were walking percy started talking more and more and he basically explained how he needed them to win so he could talk to his father.. azari finally turned her attention to him and he stopped talking.

they had eye contact for a good second and azari finally spoke up, "you still don't get how you fit into all of this.. do you?" there was no response from him and azari knew this kid was trouble he didn't understand or know anything but at the same time she understood him his whole life he's just been struggling.

that's when the horn finally blew once again and now the game started for real, "well... i'm gonna leave you to it! don't worry you're gonna do great.. i hope." azari had a soft smile and walked away and percy watched her leave.

"your seriously just gonna leave me?!" azari ignored his comment and kept walking away. as she was walking she heard footsteps behind her and she didn't stop in her tracks she knew it was people from the red team. she slowly took out her sword and once she heard the footsteps get closer she immediately turned around and started fighting them.

there were two of them in fact and azari was so far kicking their ass she was one of the best fighters and she knew she had to try her best anyway.. one of the fell to the ground and she then pointed her knife at the other one, "okay.. you win!" they yelled as both of them ran away.

azari chuckled as they left she knew they couldn't stand a chance. she put her sword back in her pocket and started walking again and she started to run into more people from the red team but won against them every single time.

as she was walking she saw percy.. and he was fighting clarisse and some other red team members they were full-on attacking him and azari wasn't having it. she hated percy but she couldn't let one of her teammates get hurt and most importantly she knew the plan she and annabeth discussed but she had a new plan.

azari walked over and tip-toed so they wouldn't hear her but she could tell percy saw her. she put her finger to her lips to shush him and he kept fighting so she wouldn't get caught. she then hit one of them and they turned around azari started to fight them.

she got them real quick but clarisse was still fighting percy. "just fight back! don't be afraid of her!" azari yelled as she fought one of the other kids that was there. it was a tough fight the kid dropped his sword and azari pointed her sword to the kid. "okay... i give up."

that's when azari heard clarisse scream. that caught her attention she looked was surprised percy broke her spear. that's when the horn blew azari heard commotion behind her. she saw her teammates and they caught the flag.

so her team won once again. she sighed in relief and then looked back at percy clarisse was walking away annoyed but azari smirked as she walked away, now clarisse knows not to mess with percy or azari. percy fell to the ground he was breathing heavily and he had blood on his face from the cuts he got.

"not bad hero or should i say heros." someone said. azari looked and saw no one but she recognized the voice. that's when annabeth took off her cap and walked over to them.

azari kinda felt bad for ruining the plan they had but she had to help percy. annabeth saw azari and just had a smile. as azari was gonna say something percy had a bit of rage in him, "so you were here the whole time and didn't think to help us?!" percy said annoyed.

azari looked at annabeth and she got the signal azari walked over to percy and held out her hand. as much as she didn't want to it was apart of the plan. percy looked up at her and slowly grabbed her hand she helped him up.

that's when she looked at percy and he looked at her. "listen.." azari said quietly so she could fully grab his attention. "i'm sorry for this." azari said as she pushed him in the lake he fell back and he yelled at her still in the water "what is wrong with you?!" azari didn't respond and just looked at him that's when percy stood up.

azari noticing something all the cuts on his arms and face was fading away. she smiled and she knew what this met her and annabeth's plan worked. "i dont understand.." percy said as he was still in the water. that's when azari noticing a trident above his hand.

percy jackson just got claimed by poseidon. azari looked up and smiled percy noticed what she was looking out and looked up himself. "looks like your dads calling." azari said as she looked back at annabeth. azari held out her fist still looking at the trident and annabeth fisted bumped her.

what happens next?
