chapter two—trying my best

𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 she looked back and it was clarisse. "excuse you?" azari said. that's when clarisse turned around and she acted like she pushed her on accident "oh sorry.. didn't see you there"

azari saw clarisse with her other siblings from the ares cabin and she didn't wanna start anything her and clarisse already weren't friends before this. azari took a deep breath "you know what clarisse i don't wanna start anything with you. so i'm going to walk away now!"

and she did just that she didn't really wanna start anything with anyone. she walked over to annabeth and told her everything that happened when they didn't see each other. annabeth also told her some things thata happened atcamps.

annabeth and azari almost hung out the whole day until they had to go to sleep. "alright see you tomorrow then!" azari said as she saw annabeth nod. azari hugged her "it's good to see you again annabeth." azari then pulled away as they went there separate ways.

azari went to her cabin and she got ready for the night. "okay everyone lights out!" azari said as she turned off the lights. she got in her bed azari was so happy to be back at camp with all her friends and everything this time she will train better then ever before.. she smiled as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

azari woke up to someone shaking her. it was one of her siblings tell her she needs to get up. azari stretched her arms as she slowly got up. she groaned "well time to start the first day." she said as she got up and started getting ready.

after she left her cabin for breakfast. she met annabeth there and she was also grabbing breakfast. "hey!" azari said. annabeth said hey back and they were talking a bit. "this summer i have to train better! i'm gonna train with luke later on."

annabeth sighed "you say that every summer! your a good fighter don't you think you putting pressure on yourself?"

maybe annabeth was right but azari didn't wanna think about it like that "i don't think i am." annabeth disagreed she didn't want her to put so much pressure on herself.

after breakfast azari saw kids training and just that made her smile the smell of fresh air and kids training. azari then saw luke and she wanted him to help her train he is the swords man in camp.

"okay see you later? i'm gonna go train!" azari said looking back at annabeth. annabeth nodded and said bye to azari as they went there separate ways. azari went over to luke "hey luke! do you think you can help me train? you know i wanna get better."

luke grabbed a sword "yeah sure." azari nodded and started training with luke she kept telling him she wanted to get better. she tried her best to stay focused just many things would rush through her head she didn't know why this would happen. azari fell to the ground because luke caught her off guard.

"remember stay focused azari." luke said as he held out his hand to help her up. azari sighed and grabbed his hand "i'm trying my best you know i struggle with that." she held up her sword again ready to fight. luke held up his sword and looked at azari "look just take a deep breath before fighting and remember to always why your doing a fight and just focus on that."

azari did as told and she started to fight luke  with all her might and she was getting better  she thought of one thing the reason why she's doing this is it get better and she wanted to get better. azari smiled as she was getting better she almost hit luke but he ducked just in time. he put his sword down "see your getting better already."

she smiled his advice kinda worked but she knew it would happen again. "yeah.. thanks! it's probably gonna happen again but i'll think about what you said!" azari was happy luke taught her this type of stuff.

if it wasn't for him she wouldn't be this strong she knew she could always count on luke she remembered when she was little and she first came to camp luke was one of her first friends he was the one who introduced her to annabeth.

they became closer and she remembered when she made a promise with him they will always be family brother and sister forever. she knew he would never do anything to hurt her or turn on her she could count on him.

later on that night she was sitting at a campfire for some reason she couldn't find annabeth that's when there was a bunch it commotion in a certain area they were taking some kid to the infirmary. that's when she saw annabeth and she ran up to her. "what's going on?? and i've been looking for you everywhere!" azari asked.

annabeth turned to her with her arms crossed. "there's a new kid.. his name is percy jackson! and apparently he killed the minotaur. kinda weird for a first day entrance but.. i bet he could help us win capture the flag!"

azari looked confused how come he gets all this attention for killing a minotaur i mean yeah it's pretty rare. really rare actually but she didn't get any attention when she was new! "how is he gonna help us win?"

"we're gonna see how he really is.. just i have a plan okay? we'll discuss it when the day comes." annabeth said. azari nodded but it was time for everyone to head to her. azari said bye to annabeth and she went to her cabin. we're siblings we're already getting ready to sleep.

okay.. tomorrow was a new day and maybe she could meet the new kid she loved to make new friends and she loved greeting the new kids all the time.
