π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗦𝗒𝗨𝗑𝗗 𝗒𝗙 heels clicking against a stone pathway echoed through the deserted alleyway. The faint sound of music slowly died down as the woman ventured further into the darkness. The woman had been waiting patiently for a call β€” a call that was meant to set the plan in motion. However, that call never came. Instead, she was left to do all the dirty work, as usual.

Ring

She paused.

Ring

She let it ring again.

Ring

It rang for the third time before the caller hung up.

She paused for a moment. The caller phoned again. This time she picked up the phone instantly. "I thought you'd forgotten about me." She spoke with a thick English accent as she continued down the alley.

"Deals off." The person on the other line said. "You lied. You never said another witch was involved β€” especially not another Bennett."

The woman rolled her eyes. "I didn't lie. I simply," she paused. "withheld information. Besides, you're in no position to be calling off this deal."

"Yes, I am. Especially, if you want to see her again."

The woman stopped in her step. "Excuse me? Don't be stupid. You know better than to threaten me, Lucy."

The woman on the other line sighed, "It's not a threat. I want to make another deal. Let me get as far away from here as possible and I'll tell you where she is β€” or more importantly where it is." She paused. "Or you kill me and you find her by yourself. I'm sure the Salvatores would love to see you again."

The woman could hear the smirk from the other end. She let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine, we have a deal. Just tell me where she is."

"The Tomb. I'm sure you remember where it is."

The line went dead.

The woman sighed. She knew they were stupid to trust her, vampires and witches were never meant to get along. They'd double-cross each other without a second thought.

She continued to walk through the alley until she arrived in a parking lot. There she was met with the sound of a woman's muffled screams. "Must I do everything myself?" She muttered to herself.

She walked closer to the sound. Finally, reaching it she came face to face with an all too familiar face struggling against a man in a masquerade mask.

"Please," the girl struggled. "Help me!"

The woman gave her a sad smile, "Oh, sweetheart," Her soft fingers caressed the girl's cheek. "you really should be more careful." She took the girl's head in her hand and slammed it against a car door.

Her body lay still on the ground. Although, she wasn't dead as the woman could still hear her labored breathing.

She looked over at the man in the mask, motioning him to remove his mask β€” he did. She looked directly into his eyes as she spoke, "Tie her up, and take her to this location." She handed him a slip of paper. "You'll meet a man in a car, give her to him. Don't tell anyone about this."

And with one swift motion, the woman disappeared.

π—§π—›π—˜ π—ͺ𝗒𝗠𝗔𝗑 π—žπ—‘π—˜π—ͺ exactly what the witch was talking about the previous night. However, finding the tomb had proven to be a more difficult task than she had originally thought β€” especially considering she hadn't been there since 1864.

When she finally arrived she realized just how eery it felt. The entrance to the tomb was where Fell's Church once stood. And although there were still certain pieces of the building, it looked nothing like it had before. But, the woman could still feel it β€” whether that be because of nostalgia or the immense power that grew in there she didn't know.

She quietly walked down the tunnel, where she was met with a door with a pentagram symbol on it. "Witches." She mumbled to herself, pushing it open.

There stood Katherine Pierce β€” or Katerina Petrova β€” and although it had only been a day, she looked as white as a ghost. "What took you so long?" Asked the vampire.

The older vampire opened her bag, "Thought you might be hungry." She tossed the bottle of blood over to the woman inside. Katherine quickly grabbed it and gulped down the blood.

The younger vampire wiped the blood from her mouth, "So, you going to get me out of here?"

"Patience is a virtue, Kat."

"We both know neither of us is very virtuous, Angelica," Katherine smirked.

"Nonetheless, I have a plan." Katherine motioned for her to go on. "I got a call from an old friend, he said two of our old acquaintances were looking for a way to call him." Katherine's eyes darkened. "Made a few arrangements and they're meeting in an hour. I, being the lovely friend I am, am going to convince our old friend to agree to our deal."

"He won't agree to it. Not after what we β€” what I did."

Angelica shrugged, "He'll have to if he ever wants this." That's when Katherine realized what the older vampire had been holding. It was a clear stone. Identical to the one she had kept stowed away in the tomb.

Katherine gave her a puzzled look. Angelica smiled wickedly, bending down to Katherine's height who was still sitting on the floor. "I need you to take this, and give me the real one."

"But why?"

"Because I don't want other people ruining my plan. This is the only way to ensure that my end of the deal is upheld."

Katherine sighed, slowly getting up from her position, "You're going to get yourself killed."

"I died once and survived. Who's to say I can't do it again?"
