step #1

Make Coffee.

Yoongis are big coffee enthusiasts.

Sorah had once seen him blindly reaching out for the cup of freshly made coffee in his sleep.

It's when she realised that the smell reaches him even in his dream state.

So that is why it is the best option.

After making sure that Holly has had his breakfast, she places a fresh cup of coffee on the nightstand. The aroma fills the room in no time.

Tip #1: Min Yoongis react to proximity, so make sure to keep it close but not too close that he can knock it over.

And then the sheets rustle, a small brown head peeking out from under them and Sorah covers the coffee with a lid.

Tip #2: Don't forget to close the lid as soon as the bedsheets start rustling because it will at least take him eight more minutes to fully wake up.

Yoongi's morning routine is quite fixed.

He wakes up, he bathes, he eats, he gets a coffee from the shop, he works, he sleeps— and the next day, he repeats.

A new addition to this morning routine wasn't really expected but love is that way.

The feeling just creeps into your heart and after you are done pining for days— it peeks its head out to say 'Surprise, it is me, the reason you look so stupid at the moment' while you are burying your face in the pillows, and crawls back inside.

But, this new addition, according to Jungkook, was very expected.

(Clearly, the boy has read too many café romance aus. I don't really blame him.)

Anyway, Yoongi was just on his way to the shop around the street to get a coffee, when the unexpected entered into his life. When he opened the door and the bell chimed, the barista didn't even look up from his counter because he knew it was him.

He was playing a game on his phone— it's obvious that the shop remained empty so early in the morning. Yoongi walks into this scene every day.

The barista looked for the cup on the counter, with his eyes still fixed on his phone and placed it in front.

Don't mind the barista's manners, he just happened to be nineteen and got his allowance money halved— life's pretty shitty for him, Yoongi understands that.

The brown-haired scanned the code, paid for his coffee and took a sip from it. He walked out of the shop and stood just outside the door to bask in the morning when someone ran past him. Then the bell chimed again, he turned around to look and saw a ponytail swaying as the newcomer spoke— "Do you perhaps have a strawberry yoghurt?" she asks the staff.

And the last thing he sees through the glass window of the shop before he turns for the dorm is the pout that forms on her. So she didn't get her strawberry yoghurt.

Yoongi swore that he doesn't know why he thought of her—but he did anyway— when he saw Hoseok with the strawberry yoghurt.

She didn't get to buy it. Maybe that's why? Yoongi's an empath—he probably just feels sad for her.

He sighs and gets back to his studio to continue working. And just because Yoongi's an empath, the next day he decides to go to the shop with a strawberry yoghurt he stole from Hoseok. Just in case, you know.

"Hyung!" Jimin calls for him, running to catch up with the brown-haired. " Going for coffee?"

Yoongi nods, hiding the yoghurt deeper into his jacket's pocket.

"Hyung!" another voice calls out.

And just like that Jin, Jungkook and Jimin ended up at the shop with him. Yoongi finds himself glancing at the door occasionally while the trio debates over whether to get a pastry or a puff.

Yoongi ends up buying both. He knew he would have to eventually, anyway.

"Should we sit and eat here?" Yoongi says. The three of them look at each other in confusion. "Why?" Jimin raises an eyebrow.

"What do you mean why?"

"You never stay here to eat or drink," Jungkook says.

"Well, today I want to," Yoongi sips his coffee. He's looking at the door again. The other three sit down anyway, continuing some banter about food again. Ten minutes pass, Yoongi's sipping every last drop of his coffee— the gross residue at the bottom too— just to stall for as long as he can.

Jin has been whining to go because everyone is done eating and drinking.

Maybe she went to another shop or ordered online and got her yoghurt, Yoongi thinks, you seriously think she would wait for one whole day to eat that in 2021? Yoongi sighs, disappointed. And here he thought he loved civilization.

He picks up the cup to sip when he hears a groan from Jin. "Stop sipping air from it—it's done, the coffee is finished,"

He sighs and is just about to stand up when he sees a figure jumpily approach the door. It's her, he grins when the door opens. Jimin pulls up his mask, a little above the chin and Jin lowers his cap.

"Are you trying to do push-ups here?" Jungkook says, laughing a little. Yoongi looks down at his hands, which were propped up on the table like he was about to get up or something only gym freaks can think of— do push-ups.

He sits down straight, eyes glancing at the girl at the counter every other second. "Alright I am done," Jin suddenly stands up. "Come home when you are done daydreaming," he looks at Yoongi with a scowl on his face.

The younger ones shake their heads and stand up too, forcing Yoongi to follow suit. He fiddles with the container of yoghurt inside his pocket but when he sees the pinkish-white container in her hands, a smile paints his face.

Then it happens all too suddenly, maybe she was too excited to have the yoghurt or Yoongi walked without looking where— he bumps into Jungkook's back, the yoghurt owner gasps at the sight of them and rips the peel a little too strongly.

The liquid from the peel splashes onto Yoongi's clothes and the rest of them gasp in unison. The barista looks up for a second, shakes his head and goes back to his phone. Seconds seemed to turn into minutes as the silence settled down but Yoongi kept staring at the millennial pink blotch on his t-shirt.

You are so done for Sorah, she thinks. Bow and beg for your life, he looks mad. Panic washes over Sorah and she bites her lips. She was about to bow and apologise to him when she hears him say, "It's okay,"

Sorah frowns when he digs something out of his pocket, perhaps a gun and then shoots me? He's rich . . . won't end up in jail.

And then she sees a container so identical to hers in front of her, "Enjoy,"

"Oh," Sorah blinks at the yoghurt in his hand like it's the first time she's seen it. Taking the container from his hand, she looks up and her breath hitches.

The sun rays passing through the windows, make him the only one she can see— like the world has spotlighted him for her. Realising that she is supposed to say something more than just an 'oh', she clears her throat and nods, "I can see you have good taste,"

Now, Min Yoongi is a little too proud of himself when it comes to these situations. He's long forgotten that Jin, Jungkook and Jimin are standing there dumbfounded about the whole situation— and has all his attention on what he is supposed to say.

So, he very subtly says, "I have a good taste in everything,"

And Jin chokes on nothing. Jungkook turns around, only wanting to disown his Hyung at the moment and Jimin just walks out of the door— too taken aback. Then we have Min Yoongi, who throws a soft smile at the wide-eyed girl and turns around. He walks out without even glancing back until he's outside the shop. 'You can't be so cool, Yoon,' he thinks, 'have some mercy on other's hearts.'

"I am going to get nightmares," Jin sighs. Jungkook shakes his head, "It was traumatic,"

And while Jimin is contemplating on what to add on the side-effects of a flirty Min Yoongi™, he flinches when he hears a groan.

Yoongi squats down and holds his head in his hands, "Shit,"

"What, what?" Jin scoffs.

"I forgot to ask her name,"
