Quin • this name means 'Councellor and Wise Man', And he was given it by his mother, who believed that her son would grow to be a man with wisdom and a proper leader. This name was also the name of her grandfather, who she was very close to, and it meant a great deal to her.

Talon • 'the claw of a bird of prey' this name, unlike his first, was given to him by his father. He had always dreamed about having a strong and impressive son, and the name Talon seemed like the perfect fit. He would've liked it to be his son's first name, but Quin's mother disagreed so they compromised.

Seaver • 'sea' this surname was passed down through the family for generations, and the Origin is unknown. Quin has always regarded his surname with mild disdain, since it always sounded a little common for his taste.

ABILITIES:
The Siren • Quin is able to lull people into a trance when he sings. Every clear note that leaves his mouth makes people stop and listen, clouding their brains so all they can hear is his voice. Some may laugh at it, but Quin knows it power. It is incredibly useful when wielded precisely and correctly.

PERSONALITY:
Quin is not one to judge without getting to know first. He is generally a little bit sarcastic to begin with, and tends to act like he dislikes people right off the bat. His general demeanour is not one of friendly smiles and polite conversation, but if you aren't too irritating then he may use his sense of humour to crack a few sarcasm ridden jokes. He is easily annoyed, but is good at restraining his anger. He may snap at you at little and ask you to back off, but his full, unrestrained anger is something that rarely surfaces, and it isn't pretty. The only time his anger really surfaces is when someone consistently tries to criticise him or tries to get into his head. He doesn't want people to see what is in his head. He is very distrustful of new people, but he occasionally will have pleasant conversation if he's in the mood, and if he finds someone either interesting or non-annoying he may be more genuinely friendly, but that won't stop the sarcasm. He gets a little jumpy around big crowds and prefers to be in smaller groups, but knew that he'd have to face them in the selection. When he's scared, he feels incredibly vulnerable and that why he pretends nothing scares him, because he doesn't want people to take advantage of it. He doesn't trust easily, not at all, but it's not impossible. He can be a bit of a flirt if he's bored, bur he tends to do it in his own broody way. It's rather amusing to watch. He rarely uses his power intentionally, because he doesn't see the point, but he was always curious about what it could do, and has used it in the past.

LIKES:
-Singing. Of course, this is his power. He loves his voice, and it's probably one of the only things he truly adores. When he had nothing, he always had his voice.

-Music. This is an accompanying like to his voice, because what is singing without music. He did learn the piano when he was young, but no other instruments, and he really wants to learn some.

-Black. The colour black is a rather useful colour for him since it makes him feel safe. He may look slightly intimidating, but that's kind of the point. He uses it like a shield, to stop people coming up to him without thinking about it first.

-Stars. Cliche, I know, but Quin has always had a unique fascination with stars. Sometimes he'd sleep in the garden at night to watch them, and would only go inside if his mother forced him too.

-Late night conversations. This is only with people he trusts wholeheartedly, but he loves to talk about weighty topics such as life and death, and not so weighty topics like stupid silly things.

DISLIKES:
-People Who prod. He really hates it when people assume things about him and then proceed to bug him with questions. He honestly hates nothing more.

-Endless positivity. He can't stand people who are just constant balls of joy and light. 'Look on the bright side' and 'think happy' are two phrases he detests with a passion and he will let you know how irritating you are.

-Spicy Foods. This one may seem a little random, but Quin hates spicy foods with a passion. He honestly can't stand the sensation of spice and avoids it at all costs.

THOUGHTS ON THE WAR:
Well, Quin thinks it's stupid. Though, to be fair, Quin thinks all war is stupid. He doesn't see the point. In his opinion it's stupid people fighting for stupid reasons and shoving so many people in the middle of it. How many have been killed because of people's stupidity? He has rather strong opinions on the war, so it's probably not a good idea to drag him into a conversation about it.

THOUGHTS ON THE SELECTION:
Now the selection is a different story. Although Quin is sceptical, he is also hopeful in his own weird way. He is curious to see what it holds, and grudgingly anticipating having a new adventure. He needs a distraction and a getaway, and although this isn't the ideal solution, at least it's something.

BRIEF HISTORY:
Quin was raised by his parents in a rather lavish lifestyle. He had anything he could dream of, and was basically served what he wanted on a platter. He rarely knew the word 'no', and was used to getting what he desired. Then the war, and everything changed. One night, when Quin was 13, his home was decimated, completely and utterly destroyed. Among the rubble of the collapsed walls and dust, he screamed and screamed but no one came. So he dragged himself out the rubble, and eventually was free. His father survived, but his mother didn't. Together they moved into a smaller house and got by. They rarely talked, both still grief stricken by the loss of a mother and a wife, and when Quin was 17, he moved out and got his own place. Things were tough but he survived, and now he is part of the selection.
