Chapter 13
A bright blue flame engulfs the room in a dingy bar somewhere in the undercurrents of Japan. As the flames die down, a man slumps to the ground, his clothes burned away, dark flesh scorched, and smoking. The misty villain appears beside him, his form coalescing from the shadows. "Master, are you okay?" he asks, reaching out and helping the blue-haired man to his feet, careful not to touch the violet burns. "We need to get you healed," he says urgently.
A deep and nasty voice booms from a sizeable black TV screen in the corner of the room. "No, don't touch him too much. I want to see these burns for myself. I want to understand how that kaiju works."
The blue-haired man shudders in the misty one's grip, his voice trembling. "But master—she could have killed me. Why didn't her blast kill me?" he stammers, fear evident in his eyes.
The figure on the screen leans forward, his features obscured by darkness. "That is exactly what I want to find out," he says, his tone dripping with malice. "There is something unique about her power, something we must understand and exploit."
The misty villain's yellow eyes flicker with unease. "Master, if we don't tend to his wounds, he might not survive long enough for you to study them."
The voice on the screen growls in frustration but relents. "Fine. But do not heal him completely. I want those burns intact for analysis. Bring him to me as soon as he can travel."
The misty villain nods, carefully helping the blue-haired man to a nearby chair. "Hold on, Shigaraki. We'll get you patched up enough to move."
Shigaraki's eyes dart around the room, paranoia, and pain mingling in his gaze. "She's more powerful than we anticipated. We need to be better prepared next time."
The figure on the screen chuckles darkly. "Oh, we will be. This kaiju has given us valuable information. Next time, we will not underestimate her."
As the misty villain begins to treat Shigaraki's wounds, the bar remains eerily quiet. The patrons watch with a mix of fear and curiosity. The tension in the air is palpable, a silent acknowledgment of the danger and power that now surrounds them.
The voice on the screen continues to speak, his tone sinister and calculating. "Prepare for our next move. This is far from over. The Kaiju and her humans will learn what it means to cross us."
Shigaraki winces as the misty villain applies a salve to his burns, but a determined glint appears in his eyes. "We'll be ready. And next time, she won't be so lucky."

After the accident, I'm standing with my classmates as Investigator Naomasa Tsukauchi goes around questioning us. When he comes to me, he's all business but also curious. "Hey there, I'm Investigator Naomasa Tsukauchi. Mind if I ask you a few questions?" he asks politely, and I nod, saying, "Sure thing, fire away."
His first question throws me off a bit. "How did you get so strong, and what exactly are you?" he asks, pen poised to jot down my answer. I raise an eyebrow, a bit surprised, before replying, "Ever heard of Godzilla, the King of the Monsters?" Tsukauchi nods, looking intrigued. "Well, I'm his mate," I say matter-of-factly.
The revelation seems to shock Tsukauchi, evident in his wide eyes and slight recoil. Meanwhile, some of my classmates, including All Might and Aizawa, overhear us and have similar reactions.
"Hold up, you're Godzilla's mate?" Tsukauchi stammers, clearly trying to wrap his head around it. I nod, confirming, "Yep, that's me. A kaiju myself, one of the last females of Godzilla's kind." My words hang in the air, the weight of their meaning sinking in for everyone present.
"How is that even possible? Godzilla's supposed to be the last one of his kind," Tsukauchi blurts out, clearly astonished. Izuku, who's nearby, chimes in, "I've read about this online. And you were the one who helped defeat King Ghidorah, right?" he asks, seeking confirmation.
I nod, memories of the epic battle flooding back. "Yeah, that was me," I confirm, a faint smirk tugging at my lips as I recall the intensity of the fight. The weight of my past experiences as a protector and a fierce combatant against other kaiju hangs heavy in the air.
"In any case, if this made you uncomfortable, I'm sorry," Tsukauchi says, sounding genuinely concerned. I shake my head, offering a reassuring smile. "No worries, we all have those moments of surprise," I reassure him, patting his shoulder. "Now, I need to check on my friends and make sure they're okay."
Tsukauchi nods in understanding and heads off, leaving me with Izuku and the others. As I turn to face them, I can see a mix of awe, curiosity, and perhaps a touch of fear in their expressions. But there's also a newfound respect and understanding, a recognition of the unique role I play in their lives as both protector and friend. With a sense of purpose, I lead Izuku and the rest, ready to ensure their safety and continue our journey together.
