when emi finally realized her sexuality in 2010, she went through a lot of emotions mostly being scared and wondering if she would ever find love meanwhile mayumi who found out she was a lesbian about a year later went through comphet thinking she could change herself because of the religious family she was born to.

the two had realized their crushes on each other by the time and emi came out to her members in late 2010 and of course they were 100% supportive.

when mayumi eventually came out to her family, her father disowned her legally but her mother refused to let her children be treated like that and divorced her husband and got custody of all her children changing their last names to hers.

in 2015, mayumi made up her mind to tell emi her feelings even if it would end up with her losing her best friend and because emi was so busy that year, the only time she could find was after they finished promotions for hush and a few weeks before their tour.

mayumi went to their dorm and basically confessed her feelings at the entrance meaning all the members heard it.

tala and yeoreum quickly ran into their rooms while emi just stood there shocked. then mayumi felt bad until emi carried her up in excitement and then kissed her.

then they started dating.

after dating for almost 8 years, emi and mayumi went on a 4 month vacation in early 2023 where they went to different countries and on their last day in their last country, thailand, emi proposed to mayumi and she of course accepted.

the two got married 8 months later and are now happily married with a manx cat named mochi.

mayumi and emi trust each other a lot and they know each other so well because they grew up together. they share a lot of hobbies together and they confide in each other a lot.

they rarely get mad at each other and even if they do, it resolves quickly because their communication skills are extremely good.

they love each other so much and they are never ever ever breaking up. they're the cutest couple ever…〔and my favourite couple in my oc universe〕
