~ Chapter Forty Seven ~
"So, what ground rules do you have?" Ben questioned as he and Klaus walked to the back doors of the mansion. "Alright, so first of all, no cutting of the hair. I love my look right now. Second, no touchy-touchy down there. Well, maybe I won't mind. But don't look because I'm shy," Ben rolled his eyes at the second rule, knowing full well of his brother's insecurities and feeling as if he didn't need the reminder.
Klaus pushed the paneled doors wide open before looking back at his brother, preparing to be possessed. "Oh, wait!" he exclaimed. Ben looked confused, and wondered what else he had in mind rules-wise. "I'm dairy-free. Trust me on that," Klaus added as Ben rubbed his hands together, preparing for this moment. He met his brother's green gaze, telling him, "Thank you," Klaus responded saying, "Just get this over with," He tried to look not afraid, but as Ben began to charge at him, the junkie looked away and scrunched up, like he was preparing for the pain.
He began to convulse and stretch his arms wide for a few moments. Then it stopped, and now Ben had fully taken control of Klaus's body. Ben brought his hands to his face, smiling at the feeling of being a human again, not just an apparition. He walked down the stone stairs leading into the back garden, taking in the full view.
He followed the dirt path, coming to the giant orange trees, where dozens of the round fruit hung delicately from the branches. Members of the cult bowed their heads as they walked right past him and he picked one orange from the tree, splitting it into two halves of a whole. Ben grinned before he dug into the fruit, but almost instantly, he tasted the bitterness on his tongue and spat it out immediately.
As his feet carried him, Ben slipped off the boots and walked into the large empty patch of dirt, curling and digging his toes into the soil. "I love dirt..." he moaned softly, slowly collapsing onto the ground in pure ecstasy. "Hello?" A voice sweet as honey called out, making Ben glance around and see that the person was Jill. He was shocked to see her walk right up, and at first he stuttered, trying to find the right words to say.
"H-hi Jill," He managed to get out. "Cool if I join you?" she questioned. Ben nodded, and Jill laid down in the dirt next to him, smiling and giggling as the two made dirt angels, not caring about staining their clothes.

Okay Dusk, you can do this. You just need to go back in there, sit down, and tell him how you feel. Easy as that! Oh, but what do I say? Dusk paced back and forth across the kitchen. The cup of tea that was supposed to be for Klaus was clutched tightly in her hands, now half full. She never had to confess to someone she loved before. She didn't have to do that when Sebastian admitted his feelings for her. Now, the whole thought of confessing began to sound like a bad idea.
Should I be direct or indirect? She continued to ponder the thoughts. Part of her wanted to blurt it out saying, "Klaus, I have feelings for you!" But knowing Klaus, he probably wouldn't take it seriously, and she would have to give him a long list of reasons why she loved him. And there was no way she wanted to do that.
Finally, she settled on beginning a normal conversation and slowly easing into the topic of how close they were. She sipped on the last of the herbal tea, going over the words she would say, her body becoming less tense than before. "Alright, enough stalling. Let's go do this," She muttered to herself, setting the teacup on top of its saucer and brushing past some of the followers back to Klaus's room.
But to her surprise, he was no longer in there.
"Klaus?" She called out, slowly walking around the room. No reply. She called out his name again, another amount of silence. She darted out of the room, calling out his name as she walked through the rest of the mansion, hoping that he wasn't too busy with something, knowing that being a cult leader was hard work. Retracing her steps, she opened the door, revealing a few followers having a mini orgy.
She quickly shut the door, shaking her head furiously and trying to get the image out, but it seemed to be burned into her skull. "Klaus, this isn't funny anymore! Wherever you're hiding, please come out!"
Meanwhile, back in the gardens, Ben and Jill were now sitting in the grass, taking bites from pieces of fruit. He reached into the small bowl, pulling out a strawberry and immediately sank his teeth into the juicy red. He let out a slow and shaking breath, savoring the taste. He wondered if it was possible to stay in Klaus's body forever because the more time he spent with Jill, the more he wanted to get to know her better.
Although he could never tell her the truth about him being a ghost, he hoped Klaus would be willing to let him stay inside him for a while longer. "You're different today," Jill pointed out, bringing Ben back to reality. "Really? How so?" He questioned. Jill looked down at the ground before reconnecting her hazel gaze with his. "You're... dorkier. I like that,"
Ben took a gulp, preparing to tell Jill how he felt. He just hoped that things wouldn't be awkward. "You know, I haven't been able to take my eyes off of you since you joined," He began, hoping he was heading in the right direction. "I don't believe you," Jill replied. "It's true! You love your garden. You sing to your turnips. You're so good with people. Everybody comes to you for advice, and you give it so freely," Ben continued, noticing the glow in her dark cheeks.
"I... I love the way you tug on your earlobe when you read," The dark-skinned woman began to tug at her ear the moment the words escaped his lips. The two smiled at one another for a moment. "Could I... Could I smell your hair?" Ben asked, hoping that didn't sound too awkward of a request. Surprisingly, Jill nodded and leaned in close, nearly resting her head on his shoulder.
"You're incredible," she whispered as Ben inhaled her sweet scent, telling her that she was incredible as well. "Wanna do it?" She asked, pulling away from him. The innocent Ben had no idea what she was referring to and asked her to elaborate. "Have sex. The holy union of our multiple spirits," Ben had no idea how to answer that, becoming a stuttering mess.
"There's something you need to know-" Before Ben could finish his sentence, he was slightly pushed out of Klaus's body, he knew that Klaus was trying to get him out. "Are you okay?" Jill questioned. "Yeah, never been better," Ben answered. Within an instant, Jill scooted closer until she eventually was right on top, straddling him. "Jill, listen. Y-you don't know the real me!" Ben said, shuddering lightly as her hands rested on his shoulders.
"I know everything about you. I have poured myself over your teachings, sung your Vedas, and committed every part of your body to my memory," she explained, looking deep into his eyes. "But that's not me. I'm someone different. I'm... a virgin," He admitted, making Jill confused. "What about last week? With you, me, and Keechie? We practiced the suspended, extended, four-part unification,"
Ben couldn't help but cringe at Klaus's insane promiscuity, muttering how Klaus was filthy. "Yes you are, Daddy," Jill smiled before kissing his neck.
Both were unaware that Dusk had made her way outside to the garden. She called Klaus's name several times, asking some of Destiny's Children if they knew where he was. One of the followers pointed to the garden, and to her shock, she saw Klaus and another member appearing to be kissing.
In that instant, her heart broke in two. And as fast as she could, the raven ran out of the garden and mansion, trying to hold back her tears of heartbreak.
