You and Reno have been at each other's necks since day one. When you first joined SOLDIER you were always treated differently than everyone else. You were the only girl Turk besides Elena. Knowing that this was not going to be easy. When you met Reno, he didn't give you the all great first impression. He told you to stay out of his way when you both would be on the job, you growled in response and told him to screw off. You were hoping to give him a chance but no, he was always making smart ass comments, knowing that he has his good reputation and he will go after what he wants no matter what it took. 

You walked down the Hallway, you tightened up your leather gloves a bit more by pulling it down, near your wrists. With a slight grin on your face, you knew if Reno said anything to you today it kinda makes you laugh in a way, but it makes a fire burn in your gut. Heading down to the Presidents office. You were stubborn and never gave up, no matter who it was. Now turning the knob and into Shinra's office, you shut the door quietly. You saw Tsenge and Reno in the room.Reno giving you that smirk but still eyeing you, while Tsenge was leaning against the wall. You approached Rufus's desk.

"Sir." You stood with good posture, shoulders back and head high. 

"(L/N)." Then he takes a breath.

"Do you know why you are here?" He asks.

"No sir." You looked him in the eyes, a sign of respect in this place, they won't tolerate disrespect here.

"I have a new mission for you, (L/N)." He then looks down at the papers he had been reading and signing. From his his papers his icy eyes looked back to your (E/C) ones.

"You and some others had been chosen to do this mission. Have you ever heard of what was happening in other places?" Shinra asked you.

Now shaking your head, you had no clue where this was going.

"Tsenge, will you?" 

"There has been these group of people killing innocent people." Shinra's head turns back towards you.

"I ask you and the others to push them back and take them out. Reno you will accompany her." Reno then smirked, while you were just in shock, there was no way you would work with him.

"But sir! I have the right to not accept!" You put your hands on his desk, kind of startling the president. 

"(L/N). This is my orders. If you do not follow it I will have no choice but to strip you of your titles and fire you, are we clear?" He asks raising an eyebrow. 

"But sir-"

"Are we clear?" You then nodded.

"Yes sir...." This was going to be the worst week ever.

"Now, Reno." Reno turned back towards the president.

"You will keep her safe, otherwise you too will be fired." Reno still had that smirk on his face, he then nodded.

"Sir, I will keep my princess safe." You then rolled your eyes, having enough of Reno for one day. You both headed over towards the door, you had a joke up your sleeve. You then open the door.

"Lady's first~" You smirked holding the door open for Reno, he then stops.

"No no I really insist, lady's first~" He then gestures for you to go first. Knowing you won't be the first one to go out the door.

"Nah, I'm the one holding it open for a true lady~" You shot back.

"Your the princess so after you, your hind-ass~" He smirked.

"Enough! Both of you exit, now." The president had enough of both of you for tonight. You both exited the double doors.

"Ass..." You mumble.

"Oh shut up will you!" Reno rolled his eyes, then smirked.

"Well have a nice sleep, your hind-ass." He goes towards his room door.

"Well, F*** you too." You go to open your door, but before you could Reno shot another comment back at you.

"You wish." Your face then turns red. He then shuts his own door.

You then opened your own door to get a good nights rest before your departure tomorrow.

You were now sitting in the chopper next to Reno, you had to emit you did have a slight crush on him. You had never thought about it until last night, when you took a nice hot shower. You just couldn't get him out of you head, he was almost intoxicating to your brain. You sat quiet for the whole trip. It was about dusk by now considering the sky was painted. 

"Cat got your tongue?" Reno asked.

"No---- I'm just...." You didn't know what to say, your heart was beating faster and faster, and cheeks were dusted pink.

"I see where this is going." You then look over towards him.

"You do?" You fold your arms.

"You like me don't you?" Still a smirk plastered on his face.

"No I don't-------Your just saying that-----" Still stumbling on your words, that red head made you pist right off.

"Ya right, you are a bad lair, (Y/N)~" For the love of a chocobo! That Reno was driving you nuts.

"No, I'm not!" You yelled. Suddenly your head flung back in your seat as you felt an impact hit the chopper. The chopper stumbled flying left and right smoke coming from the blades up top.

"Reno..." 

"Hang on tight, (Y/N) this is going to be a rough ride." Reno joked trying to land safely even know it was out of control. It felt like one of those motion rides that is about to make you sick, it spun in circles, over and over. 

With the sudden impact you then saw black, knocking you right out. 

"(Y/N)....." You heard a voice.

"(Y/N)....." Once again you heard the voice.

"(Y/N)!" You felt someone shaking you, still you couldn't find the strength to open your eyes.

"(Y/N)!" It was Reno's voice, he was trying to wake you.

You finally found the strength to pry open your eyes, you still saw Reno having a smirk on his face, but he was upside down for some reason.....

"Why are you upside down?" You asked.

"It's not me that is." You then lean your head up and forward, looking towards your belt line. You un-clipped your seat belt and you fell. Kinda knocking the air out of you as your back banged against the ceiling of the chopper. Reno then put his hands under your arms and pulled you out a lot of glass shards could be heard. There was a few small fires near debree of the chopper.

"Are you alright?" Reno asks.

"Ya I'm fine. How about you?" You ask, but you then stood up. The sky was already a void when you glanced up, looking at the stars that had lit up the sky for tonight.

"Fine. Lets get moving, Shinra will have both of our heads if we don't finish this."

Bullets flew past both of you, nearly hitting you and piercing through the precious untouched skin. You both hid behind a huge piece of steel, now on the battle field. Now both looking towards each other.

"I think it's best if we split up!" You yelled, over the loud sounds of the slaughter, small cuts and bruises you had on you while a small bit of blood poor down his head. 

"Alright, see ya then princess." He gave you a two finger salute.

You both took off in the opposite direction taking out as many as you could, at a time. You held your katana in your hand, when the enemy had shown themselves you made fast work of taking them down. Slicing through many of them at a time. You had already lost count of how many you had slaughtered. Suddenly explosions echoed through the air and your body went through the air. Now hitting the ground like gravity never liked you. The sudden ringing in your ears could be heard, as a warm substance ran down your face, the smell of iron came to your noise, it was your blood. Your body ached in pain, you suddenly blinked slowly. Suddenly black. When your eyes did open you saw Reno shaking you, then saying something. Still ringing was in your ears.

"Dammit, wake up!" Reno shouted, voice raw and desperate. Reno's body ached and blood already soaked his white button shirt. Blood poured from the wound in his abdomen he was hoping this wasn't the end of you. Without warning a boom echoed from behind them and struck within a second later.

When the smoke cleared, Reno stood, staggering from his position crouched protectively over you. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, eyes burning with furious fire and expression sharp and deadly.

"Well I suppose it's time for me to fight, since you clocked out on me." Reno then picked you up bridal style. "Don't worry," He added quietly. "I'll protect you." You looked up at Reno hearing every word of his but still keeping your eyes closed. he set you behind a rock then you opened your eyes. Reno was walking away then flipping out his weapon to take out the rest of the enemy's. Your hand reached out to him as your vision blurred then went black.

When you did wake up, you were in the medical area. Reno had saved you that day. 

"You owe me." Reno smirked. Now leaning up from the medical bed slowly, having a bit of a bandage around your head.

"How long have I been out?" You asked.

"A year now." He then looked towards the floor.

"What?!" You yelled, you couldn't believe it you had been in a coma for that long?

"I was afraid you would never wake." Reno looked like he was sad. Silence was all that was heard for the next 5 minutes, you looked at him. Then a smirk came on both of your faces.

"No. It was not a year, it was only four months. I was just pulling your leg." He laughed, you looked like you wanted to tare his head right off.

"Still you owe me." You then raised an eye brow.

"What do I owe you?" You ask. A small devilish smile then came on his face.

"Not that!" You yelled.

"No! I didn't say that! How about you and I go get a few drinks?" He asks. 

"A date?" You ask. He nods.

That night you headed over to your room and put on the a beautiful dress of your favourite colour. You picked out some nice heals, did your hair and a slight bit of lip stick of your choice. You went to the door and opened it he had been waiting for you, he had his normal clothing on. But still you couldn't keep your eyes off his chest.

"Like what you see?" He asks then you roll your eyes and punch him in the arm.

"Well, that's the tackiest dress I have ever seen, (Y/N)." Reno still smirks. You knew that he was joking and meaning it was a real nice one, without saying words to complement it. You both headed over to 7th heaven. Now sitting at the bar, and on the stools. Tifa then came towards you both.

"Hey Reno and (Y/N), what can I get you two?" Tifa asks.

"Well I will have a shot and for (Y/N) the same thing." Reno then puts an arm around you.

"Coming up." She then turns around grabbing somethings to make the drink.

"But Reno I don't drink, not anymore at least." You told him.

"Suck it up you whiner, after all your not scared are you?~" He taunts you. Steam blew out of your ears.

"Hell I'm not." You then swig back the shot.

"How about a drinking game, (Y/N)?" He asks then drinking back his own shot.

"What kind of drinking game?" You ask.

"Who ever drinks the most tonight wins, without vomiting or passing out, if you win you get to kick my ass, if I win....." He didn't even finish his sentence.

"If you win, what?" You ask.

"Oh nothing, just drink." The night was real fun, both of you joked around and continued to drink. You had a hard time drinking considering only a few got you drunk. You suddenly fell of your stool still laughing, Cloud and Vincent had noticed, and they kinda started to laugh.

"My my, (Y/N)... Have you tapped out?" Reno got off his stool looking down at you.

"I--am, have not.." Reno shook his head, you have indeed tapped out, he was still a slight bit drunk as well. Tifa had to kick you both out for the night, Reno slapped down the money on the counter. He helped you up and off the hard floor.

Reno put his arm around you as you leaned on him. Now walking back to your building. Once you got to your hallway and about to retire for the night. You were the first one to capture his lips, he was too drunk not to pull away. He felt the same feeling as you he really did love you, you were his fire to his soul, that always kept him going. He suddenly slammed you against his door trapping you in between the door and his body. 

"Um, love birds please get a room." You both heard a smooth voice.

You both pulled away, now looking at who said that, it was indeed a General. Sephiroth.

"General, mind your own business." Reno told him, he just growled and walked away.

"Reno, I really do have feelings for you." You didn't know if that was drunk you talking or your heart.

"(Y/N), I feel the same way." He looked you in the eyes, still having a drunk look to him, and a lustre to his eyes. He then slammed his lips into yours as you tangled your hands into his hair. He unlocked the door as you both continued inside. You suddenly fell on the floor still laughing in the process. He then picked you up off the ground and carried you to his room, now setting you down on the bed.

"Your too drunk, good night (Y/N)." Reno said to you as he took off your heels and his own shoes, then crawling in with you and puling you close to his body.

"I love you, (Y/N)." He whispered, with warm breath tickling your ear.

"I love you too, Reno. My goof ball." You smiled.

"You too princess."
