Death is a body or shadow that lurks in the dark, he crawls under little children's beds and he is always there. He is always there, following you and the closer he gets the sooner he will take you as his own. He is the ghost that people fear and he is the tormentor of the many corpses claimed by death. You know when your time is nearing its end because you can feel the chill of his icy breath as it tickles the hairs on the back of your neck.

Our car rolled over several times, breaking glasses and inflating the safety bag. My head made contact with the ground not a moment later. Blood was pouring out of my noggin.

I got out of the car, nearly fell over, dizzy. My head was hurting so badly. I touched the back of my head and felt the warm liquid on my hand. The smell of fuel leaking from the car was making me nauseated. I had to cover my nose in order to breathe properly.

Before that I could take a few steps I fell and all movement stopped like a jammed cine film. when I tried to get up, my legs didn't move. I didn't know where I was. All I knew was that I was alone and probably going to die. The sky was dark and it was a poisonous silence, only the sound of someone moaning softly. It took a few moments before I realized, It was myself.

The pain was like a fire burning my legs. I winced. It blew up in my head with a terrifying blankness. It was nauseating. I started to quiver. The pain felt like a hot, sharp knife, covered in salt, slicing through my skin and into my muscles and bones, as though my leg had been frozen and a bolt of lightning had struck my body from head to toe.

I panicked the moment I tasted blood in my mouth. I couldn't see anything except darkness. There was no one there. That was when the realization hit me. Mom and Dad!

I tried to get up but I couldn't so I crawled towards the car. There was blood all over the ground. I saw my Dad's head crushed under the dashboard. I froze at my spot, shaking my head.
"No, no This is not happening."
I closed my eyes tightly as I was trying not to panic.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I didn’t want to anyway. I never saw something like that even in my worst nightmares. And now I was seeing something my eyes won't ever be able to erase.

The adrenalin flew over my veins like a carp through the river, but I couldn’t move a single muscle, not even to scream. The absolute horror completely paralyzed me, and the more I thought about running away, or simply moving a bit, the more I felt discouraged and utterly terrified. I didn’t remember being that scared in my life.

I couldn't breathe, it felt as if someone was choking me. My heart was racing and all I wanted to do was curl up into a ball and wait for someone to save me. But no one would, no one was there. A choked cry for help forced itself up my throat, and I felt a drop run down my cheek. It seemed as if this was the end of the road for me.

I cried my heart out, trying not to look at my father's body which nothing was left from it.

I wanted to bring you joy dad. be the source of those lit eyes and dimpled cheeks. I watched you bring so much happiness to those around you. Feel the warmth you’ve given me. I wasn't a good girl for you. You suffered because of me and Mom. Because of me, you never push her away from yourself. Even when she literally tried to kill you.

You showed me how to find beauty in a cruel world. You tried so hard to do so well. You worked hard. You fought for every step; even if it wasn’t always in the right direction. You always wanted to fly and now you’re soaring.

"I love you so much Dad, why did you leave me like this?" I sobbed and hit the ground with my fist.

I couldn't find my Mom. I couldn't even walk anymore. I was bleeding and that made me really numb. I just wanted to die. My Dad was dead. My mother was missing. Nothing mattered anymore.

Suddenly I felt a pain in the back of my head as I sensed someone's presence behind me but I couldn't turn around and see if I was hallucinating or It was real.

Whoever that was, they hit me in the head and it was the last thing I remembered before passing out or maybe dying.

A.N: I know it was short but it was necessary.
Who do you think hit Dallia? Or was it just because of her injury that made her just see things? Where was her mother? Did she hit Dallia?
