meiling sighed, it was a long day. practice went really bad. everyone kept yelling at her for not being able to do a simple move. she knew, and everyone else knew, that she would eventually figure it out, but she was just so upset with herself for not knowing how to do it in the moment.

she tried to rest, but to no avail. she sat up in bed, the moonlight slightly entering her room through the slits in the shades. she twisted around, fumbling through the items on her desk to find her phone.

she aimlessly scrolled through it, trying her best to kill time. she shut her phone off with a sigh, resting her head on the headboard. with nothing much to do, she decided on taking a walk.

she obviously knew it wasn't the safest idea, but she couldn't help but want to leave the dorm. especially now since she gave herself the idea. she kept on her pajamas and headed to the entrance to get her jacket.

she unlocked the door, and was about to leave the apartment when she heard a quiet voice call out her name. she turned around to face a tired seungcheol.

"what are you doing awake?" she asked and he softly chuckled, "i should be asking you that. where are you going?" she shrugged, "i couldn't sleep, i just wanted to take a walk." he nodded and reached for his jacket. "i'm coming with."

the two members strolled through the city, barely anybody was out at the time. it was comforting, the constant silence and the wind. there was a tension, too, that she tried her best to ignore, but she just couldn't.

she stopped in the street, and he stopped with her. "what's wrong?" she looked at the moon, and then back at the boy in front of her. god, was he pretty. she breathed in.

"forgive me in advance," she whispered. before he could respond, she kissed him. he instantly kissed back, wrapping his hands around her. she pulled away breathless. it was fucking magical, and she would kill to relive it.

he had been in love before and so had she but nothing like this. the couple were watching some corny drama, and the realization hit him suddenly.

he was in love with wang meiling. he panicked and let go of her waist, rambling an excuse as he went to the bathroom. he didn't know why he was so scared, he knew the girl would never even think of hurting him.

but the feeling was new, it wasn't the same type of love he felt previously. he didn't know what type of love it was, because who gives a shit? he was in love, and that was that.

the thought of verbalizing his feelings followed him around for a while. every conversation the urge to just say it would be there. he couldn't take it.

it wasn't as romantic as he thought it would be. he woke up startled at the sound of a loud gasp. he quickly turned around to face the girl he was sharing a bed with.

putting together she had a nightmare, he brought her into his arms. "do you want me to get you water?" he suggested, and she shook her head no. "i just want you to hold me." he would never say no to that.

they were silent for a little bit, enjoying the comfort the close contact provided. "go to sleep," he whispered, lightly kissing her forehead. "i'm scared," she responded, gripping onto his shirt sleeves tighter.

"don't be. i'll protect you," he reassured. she sighed, "promise?" "promise," he confirmed. she got herself comfortable in his embrace, finally letting herself close her eyes.

"thank you, cheolie, g'night," "of course. goodnight, i love you." her eyes widened and so did his. he didn't mean to say it, but he definitely meant it. "i love you too."
