she tried thinking about the boy in a romantic light, but deep down she knew she wasn't attracted to him at all. still, she began forcing herself to find things that he did cute.

maybe she started convincing herself, because she felt, rather what she thought she felt, like she liked him. as more than a friend.

entranced by this new feeling, she couldn't help but tell him. she simply told him her feelings, and the boy quickly responded similarly. he asked her out then and there.

feeling a little bit bad about her forced feelings, she hesitated. he quickly stepped in and tried convincing her to date him. she felt even worse, and gave in.

their relationship was just like any 14 year old's, stupid jokes and meaningless conversations. it felt dry, but the two were honestly more than happy that they could say they were dating someone.

they hung out only during school, texting sometimes on the weekdays and barely ever contacting during the weekends. the two were fine like this, and like stated previously, just happy they were in a relationship.

as the school year went on, the relationship felt like a chore. meiling didn't enjoy being with mingzhe, and she no longer cared for the affection she once craved. taking note of this feeling, she went to the boy.

the breakup went smoothly, but that didn't stop rumors from flying. they were newly high schoolers, people made drama out of anything. despite the rumors never really shutting down, she couldn't care less. the relationship she was once craving for, was now one she hated.

she didn't know if he was genuinely trying to get her to fall for him, but if he was, he did it very successfully. her uncertainty was quickly picked up on, and after a long day of acting, he confessed.

she happily reciprocated, and they went from there. they were both pretty lost, this was jingyi's first relationship and meiling wasn't in a real relationship with mingzhe.

they tried their best, and it was worth it. they're relationship was so soft, any type of physical contact made both their faces a deep red. they were so supportive of each other during anything they did.

so when meiling told him she would be auditioning for a korean company, he wished her well. he didn't really think of what would happen if she got accepted, overall just happy she was trying something new.

their relationship continued as normal, they were constantly texting, and despite their very cringy emojis, truly felt like they were safe with each other.

she didn't update him on what was going on with the company, so he just assumed she didn't get in. he didn't want to bring it up just in case it was a sore subject, and began talking to her about future acting plans in china.

at that, she nervously brought up that she had been accepted. he was shocked for a moment, but broke out into a smile and congratulated her. his smile was quickly wiped off his face as he realized she would be moving.

despite jingyi's endearing feelings for the girl, he knew he would never be able to do long distance. his love language was quality time, after all. as the day's nearing her move rapidly approached, he couldn't help but break it off. her first real relationship was over.

sure, she had jun to help her, but it wasn't what she was used to. she needed someone else, and she couldn't find anybody. except for the jyp trainee that went by the name 'jackson wang.'

at an event for trainees, the two met. they hit it off almost instantly, exchanging numbers at the event. they talked for hours every day, and she couldn't help but grow feelings.

she confessed how she felt, and he told her he felt the same. their relationship was great at first, they hung out when they could, and when they couldn't meet in person, texted and facetimed.

he was sort of a pillar for her, he related to her struggles with korean and her homesickness. he liked her no matter what she was feeling, and she couldn't help but fall in love.

jackson was the first relationship in which she verbally said "i love you." despite that, she didn't really see a future with him. he was nice to be around, but that was about it.

as he newly debuted and her debut date was nearing, their time together was quite minimal. it wasn't the same, at that point it was like they were friends.

she didn't know when the feeling went away, but she knew it did. she didn't feel the same as she did when they first got together, she wasn't in love with him anymore.

she didn't need him as much as she did, she was better at dealing with her struggles on her own, and he was honestly just desperate to get any control of her.

as the days went on, he began acting weirder. he would constantly ask her if she was going to leave him, or if she was struggling with anything. when she answered no, he tried his best to make a good situation bad.

as his behavior got worse, her feelings kept on disappearing. she didn't feel comfortable with him anymore, and would rather be with her members. she quickly cut off the relationship with some excuse that she was stressed. though he begged for her take him back, he ultimately accepted.

⋆·˚ ༘ ┊͙BACKSTORY: ever since they met, seungcheol was the sweetest to her. he had a hard time as the oldest, but still helped her with the new language and environment.

as they debuted, they got closer, the whole '95 line, actually. they shared the pressure of being the older members, and the false maturity they were supposed to have. despite being 20, most of their childhood's were taken away by training.

seungcheol and meiling spent the most time together. they didn't quite know why, but they were always drawn to each other, no matter what they were doing.

the more time they spent together, the closer they got. the two didn't expect their friendship to become anything romantic, but it did. meiling was the first to realize how she felt, but quickly pushed it out of her mind. there was absolutely no chance he liked her in that way.

and for a little bit, he didn't. he simply saw her as a best friend, and he was happy like that. but that quickly changed. as they continued hanging out, he realized what he felt when he was around her, butterflies.

he built up the courage and in early august, told the girl how he felt. she couldn't believe it, and immediately told him the feelings were reciprocated.

despite his nerves, he did not regret it at all. their relationship has been magical, they've supported each other through all of their ups and downs. nothing could get them apart.

these two are so in love, it's sickening. they're always looking for each other whenever they're entering places, and are always touching each other somehow.

for two years, they hid their relationship from the company. dating was strictly forbidden in the company, and being caught could risk getting kicked out. however once they came clean, the company made an excepting. the group was basically their only breadwinner, and kicking the two out would be shooting themselves in the foot.

then the next year, they came out to the public. they felt free, able to go on dates without worrying about fans or paparazzi.

these two are everyone's favorite couple. they're genuinely in love, and they can't see a future where they aren't together. without each other, they would be nothing.
