ONE.
↳ insomnia zero

it was a shame that the couple had never been on insomnia zero at the same time. that didn't stop the two, however. during the first episode, meiling exposed seungcheol. during the second one, when the chinese members left, seungcheol exposed her right back.

the boy nervously laid on the mattress in the middle, already holding back a laugh. he didn't expect anything too bad. sure, he embarrassed himself a few times, but doesn't everybody?

the first few stories told were not easy to sit through. it felt like hours had gone by when it had only been minutes. but no matter what, he was going to leave first. he was determined.

"ah! i got it!" mingyu shouted. everyone turned to him, "what?" jihoon asked in response. "i know exactly what will get his heart rate up." the members waited for him to speak.

he finally did, simply saying two words. "wang meiling." the room erupted into laughs and cheers as his heart rate did in fact spike. seungcheol couldn't help but break out into a smile. needless to say, he was definitely not going home first.

TWO.
↳ ttt ( hyperrealism ver )

seungcheol was very drunk, not wasted, but definitely close to it. he loved trips like these where he was able to relax with the people he held closest to his heart. he loved the everything about the trips they would make, but he especially loved getting drunk.

the hangover part, not so much. but meiling made it better, she always did. "how are you so energetic right now?" she asked as she watched her boyfriend skip into the kitchen. he shrugged.

as the day went on, however, it got much harder. his head began to pound, and he needed to find a bathroom quick or else he would- the girl grabbed his hand and brought him to the restroom.

"how'd you know?" he asked with a giddy smile, completely ignoring the fact that he was sitting next to the toilet he had just vomited into. "i just know." the two sat in silence like that for a while.

eventually, he got up. she led him to the bed, pushing him down. she tucked him in, and smiled at his state. "get some rest, cutie," she whispered. she was met with soft snores, but she couldn't care less. she kissed his forehead lightly, "i love you."

THREE.
↳ going seventeen special commentary

as the three chinese members were back at home, the rest of the eleven members were tasked with filming a special commentary video of previous going seventeen episodes.

before they got into the actually commentary, however, the group was shown videos from each of the members back in china. minghao and jun had already went, and it was time for meiling.

seungcheol immediately reacted at the sight of his precious girlfriend, "ah, cute!" he was met with an awkward silence. "she didn't even speak yet...." seungkwan trailed off, very obviously judging him.

ignoring the younger, they continued to watch the girl's video. it was blatantly obvious how much he loved her. his eyes softened and his mouth formed into a small smile.

"hyung, what do you have to say?" dokyeom asked, straying him away from his thoughts. "ah," he paused. "he was too busy thinking about meiling that he didn't even listen to us!" hoshi teased. the eldest only rolled his eyes. still, he continued to answer the question he was asked. "mei, if you're watching this, i love you and miss you!"

FOUR.
↳ hide n seek

after seungcheol hid the item he was given, he quickly ran to the "perfect" hiding spot he scouted out during the first few rounds.

it was anything but perfect. it wasn't in the open, but if anyone looked a little deeper than the surface, they would easily spot him. he just prayed whoever found him would spare him.

meiling was competitive, there was no doubt about it. she had to be the best, no one could beat her. but there was one exception of her overwhelming urge to win. choi seungcheol.

she searched high and low, looking for a sign of anybody. she had already caught jun, and she could assume her other team members were making good work as well.

she finally saw a shadow of a person in the corner of her eye. intrigued, she went to investigate. behind some fake bushes, sat her one and only boyfriend. he began begging in a whisper, "don't get me out please- baby, baby, listen you can't capture me. don't ask why, just let me go. i won't tell anybody and you won't either. please?" she laughed, not able to deny her obvious soft spot for the boy. "fine."

FIVE.
↳ let's go! seventeen

as dancers, the group of fourteen had an overall very high stamina. the girl had an above average stamina, but compared to the members, it was nothing. so when teams were picked for let's go! she knew she would be last.

for some drama, seungcheol and meiling were immediately forced to play against each other. she cockily got up to the start line, next to the boy. "go easy on me?" she spoke as soon as she was in position.

he laughed, "no promises." the comment triggering her competitive nature, she threatened him in response. "you are going to lose so horribly, choi seungcheol." he shrugged with a smirk. "whatever you say, choi meiling."

just then, the count down got to one, and the boy was off. stunned, she was stuck in place, "hey! that's not fair!" she shouted, but he was too far to hear her. not like it would matter anyway, when did seventeen really play fair? never.

she gave up almost immediately, jihoon running up to her to interview her. "what happened?" grabbing the mic out of his hand, she sighed, and explained what happened. as she finished, the devil himself wrapped his arms around her. he had won. already. the mc asked the boy a similar question, he instantly responded. "what can i say? i just want to win. but choi meiling has a nice ring to it, no?"

ONE.
↳ meicheol couple interview @ celine korea

after the two finished modeling for celine, they were instructed to sit and do an interview with an employee. they had never done a couple interview, and they were excited. really excited.

the small talk finished and the actual interview began. "what was the most romantic thing you guys have said to each other?" the interviewer asked. the boy motioned for her to go first.

"hmm, can i say something from before we started dating?" when the interviewer nodded yes, she continued. "we were in this weird talking stage before we started dating and he said something that's always stuck with me. he said, uh, 'at this point you aren't a distraction. my other thoughts are a distraction from you.'"

"wow, that's really romantic. what about you, s.coups?" "i don't remember the context for when she said this, but i still get butterflies just thinking about it. oh my gosh, she said 'i will always love you, even when the gods, the public, and everyone else have forgotten about us and we are nothing but stardust.'"

"wow, you guys just really love each other. meiling, you're very good with your words, and so are you, s.coups, you two are really romantic!" he praised, and the two laughed. "we just love each other a lot."

TWO.
↳ compliment battle @ teen vogue

"do i really have to do it with him?" meiling asked, whining. "you're literally dating, this should be super easy.... like what are you even complaining for?" the youngest pointed out. she ignored him.

with a sigh, she sat down across from seungcheol. she loved him with all her heart, but she was definitely not excited for this. it was cringey and made her want to curl up into a ball. almost worse than aegyo.

"you go first," jun suggested, knowing it would piss her off. she glared at the boy, and took in a deep breath, reading the tweet. "s.coups is so amazing like whenever i look at him i feel so safe, he must be so nice to be around," she choked out through laughs, completely regretting the decisions she made to get her in this situation.

"to whichever carat that wrote this, you will definitely think otherwise. he is not nice to be around. he is a nuisance, a menace." the boy only looked back offended.

"fuck you," he returned. the group burst onto it laughter, some panicked some purely finding it funny. she laughed so much she was on the verge of tears. "they're going to cut that out, right?" the boy asked, and she just laughed harder. maybe she didn't regret this so much.

THREE.
↳ meiling plays song association @ elle

meiling was nervous, it was her first solo interview. she was naturally quiet, she would rather watch people speak than speak herself. but that didn't mean she wouldn't take the opportunity to promise her or seventeen in any way.

so when her manager asked if she wanted to play song association at elle because of her solo debut, she immediately said yes. and that's what got her in this white room, the only item the chair she was sitting on.

the first word given was "reasons," an obvious hint at her title track. she smiled and sang, "domangchil twenty-eight reasons da aneunde, wae tto dasi naege gidae?~"

the second word was "hope." she thought for a moment, racking her brain for any song. she finally thought of one, remembering her obsession with olivia rodrigo. "i hope you're happy, but not like how you were with me!"

she went through fourteen rounds so far, getting nine. the last word she was told was "down." she didn't even have to think. "well, i'm going to start my lovely boyfriends verse. shoutout to him. id you're watching this, cheol, i love you! anyways, maenijeo poni ring ring, seoboe jeonhwaga tto wassji samnyeon jeonman jaedo urireul ssaengkkasji mollassji mollassji uriga ireohge doeljineuen mollassji!" she quickly rapped vernon's verse, before finally getting to the actual word she needed. ↳ seungcheol plays ask me anything @ elle

"hi everyone, it's seventeen's leader, s.coups, here to answer all of your questions!" the boy introduced, excited to get on with the interview. he was always excited.

the first few questions were easy, the ones everyone asked like 'who's your inspiration?' 'who do you want to collab with?' repetitive ones like that. but the next few made him think.

"which music video did you have the best time filming?" he read aloud, and he hummed in thought. "that's hard, ever since debut, being on set has been fun. but maybe when we were filming home;run. hoshi was making jokes the whole time, it really brightened my mood."

"if you had to choose only one person to hang out with for the rest of your life, who would it be and why?" he giggled, easily being able to answer. "you would think it would be hard because our group has fourteen people, but it's really not," he began.

"my beautiful girlfriend, meiling, obviously. i could never get tired of her. she's a constant in my life, and i hope it stays that way, really. i want to get married and have kids with her, so i'm basically already planning to hang out with her for the rest of my life."

FIVE.
↳ seventeen's friendship test @ glamour

being tasked with drawing a man as perfect as choi seungcheol was not easy. she figured that out as she stared at the boy. she tried her best to imitate his beauty, but with her minimal drawing skills, it was bad. really fucking bad.

she gave up halfway through, too tired to try. but she couldn't help but laugh as she watched her sweet, sweet, boyfriend stick out his tongue in focus as his eyes darted from his paper back to her.

she could tell his was bad as well, maybe even worse. when it was time to reveal what monstrosities the two had created, she didn't expect much. but she definitely didn't expect that.

his drawing barely resembled a human, it looked like something out of a horror movie. the only thing eligible was the word "cutie" with a lopsided heart next to it. "you think that thing is cute?!" she yelled.

"it's you!" he replied, "of course i think it's cute!" her mouth dropped open in shock, "you think that looks like me? myungho, does that look like me?" she turned to the younger, who nodded yes teasingly. "wow, i can't believe i've spent the last ten years with my biggest haters." the group began chuckling, and the boy apologized. "sorry, i love you." she laughed, "yeah, yeah, i love you too."

ONE.
↳ meicheol live

the couple sat side by side in silence, soft smiles on both their faces. they didn't need to speak, they were comfortable just like that. if they were being honest, the two both completely forgot the camera.

the comments were spammed with cute messages about the couple as they continued to stare into each other's eyes. "that shirt looks good on you," she complimented, fumbling with the fabric on the sleeve.

he smiled and ruffled her hair, "thanks." she reciprocated the smile, but suddenly remembered that they were in fact live. she quickly turned to the camera and smiled, slightly embarrassed.

"ah, sorry, everyone," she rubbed her neck, awkwardly looking back at her boyfriend. "we got distracted, our apologies," the leader added on. the atmosphere was awkward, completely contrasted from the moment they just shared.

she read through the comments, who reassured them it was fine. "oh, they thought it was cute," she noticed. "then maybe we'll do it more often," he suggested. her cheeks turned to a light pink.

TWO.
↳ happy carat day! live

as she was last to do aegyo, she held onto the teddy bear for the entire live. she bounced it up and down in her lap, happily playing with it. she smiled the whole time.

"how long are you gonna hold that?" joshua asked, directing the attention to her. "it's cute!" she defended. playing along with her, her boyfriend smiled, "what's it name?"

"what should i name it?" she asked, but answered her own question. "i'll name it carat junior!" the group laughed at her reference, though she didn't find it funny.

they fell into a silence before mingyu interrupted it, "is that you and coups hyung's son?" she shrieked in a mix of shock and embarrassment, "what are you even saying?!"

the boy had a completely different reaction, though. "of course it is." she twisted her head around and made panicked eye contact. she was simply met with a wink and smile. god, he would be the death of her.

THREE.
↳ performance unit live

the five dancers sat on the couch, bored out of their minds. the other nine members had to go do things, and the performance unit had nothing better to do. their first idea was to go on live, which they did.

the conversation flowed easily as it always did, jumping from dances to food and to now, apparently, her and seungcheol's relationship.

"ah, do you guys want to know what coup's hyung said about meiling noona to me yesterday?" hoshi asked, and she prepared herself for the worst embarrassment possible. hoshi was good at embarrassing people.

"what?!" almost the entire unit asked, eager. he laughed, exciting himself even more. "he said- he said that meiling is the best dancer in the unit! how funny is that?! it's obviously me!"

she let out a sigh of relief, it wasn't that bad. "what?! it's totally me," the youngest chinese of the three defended. jun just laughed, "nah, it's me." finally, the youngest made sure to get his word in, "it's me, no questions."

"nah, i'm kidding. coup's didn't say that. he said something a lot more embarrassing, but i won't say~" hoshi teased. she gasped, "just whisper it to me, please?" she begged. he accepted almost immediately. once hearing what he spoke, she gasped in shock. looking back to the camera and the group, "oh my god."

FOUR.
↳ seungcheol solo live

"yeah, it was actually really funny! and then jeonghan said-" he stopped mid sentence, "ah, meiling's calling me." he answered and a smile plastered his face almost immediately.

"hi~" the two spoke for around thirty seconds, before he finally told her to speak to carats. "im on live, say hi!" he encouraged. "hi carats~ have you all eaten yet?"

"they're saying yes in the comments," he responded. "ah, good. im glad. im sorry im not with you all right now... is s.coups being good to you all?" he cringed, "s.coups?"

"what..? it's your name, after all," she replied. "i haven't heard you call me that in what? five years? it's weird. don't call me that," he said with a giggle. "what should i call you then?~" she sang.

"i don't know, not that," he shyly responded. "alright, alright. i'll let you be, goodbye carats! goodbye lovie!" he covered his face with his hands at the nickname. "bye, i love you."

FIVE.
↳ 95s line live

the three men born in 1995 sat on chairs in a line. they started off the live by talking about a show the triplet watched together, basically spoiling the entire plot.

the conversation shifted to answering questions in the comments, the most common one being "where's meiling?" especially since she was also born in '95.

"meiling's asleep right now," jeonghan answered, and the two others nodded along. "i didn't have the heart to wake her up," her boyfriend added, and joshua jumped in to instigate. "why not?"

the eldest sighed a 'why are you doing this to me' sigh, knowing what the youngest of the three wanted him to say. "she looked too cute and peaceful. is that what you want me to say?!"

the two others laughed at riling him up, "shut up, you would've said it anyway!" jeonghan teased and he sighed. the boy was right, of course he was. "fine. maybe i would've."

𝓲𝓿. award shows / performances

ONE.
↳ mama

it wasn't a surprise for meiling to perform special performances during big award shows, she was the only girl in a boy group, she brought a lot of attention to the boys. she was fine with that, and was honestly excited to be in the spotlight no matter what.

this time, she would be performing "troublemaker" with exo's kai. it was purely professional, of course, but she was still worried about seungcheol's reaction. he liked to say he wasn't a jealous guy, but deep down he definitely was. which is why she didn't tell him, or any of the boys. bad on her part? yes. she chose to ignore it.

she calmed herself down as she got in position, waiting for backup dancers to move the curtain and reveal that she was the one covering this song. kai started out first and she heard loud cheers. a few seconds later, she was revealed. she heard the screams get louder, especially in the direction of her group's table.

it felt like hours for the eldest, watching his girlfriend dance like that with someone else. he reminded himself that he wasn't jealous, but internally cursed at kai. not like it was his fault.

when she finally returned to her seat a few minutes after the performance ended, she felt seungcheol's piercing glare. motioning for her to come over, she did so. he hugged her, "don't do that again." she laughed, "are you jealous?" he deadpanned. "shut up." "you love me," he sighed, "i do."

TWO.
↳ circle chart awards

the group of fourteen were spread out into multiple couches, and the couple were forced to sit in an armchair next to the other twelve. it was a little cramped, but nothing too uncomfortable.

as the night seemed to drag on and on, she couldn't help but feel herself begin to feel a little tired. after all, they had spent hours practicing for this event and after performing, it was quite boring.

she dropped her head onto the boy's shoulder, and blushed when she felt his fingertips graze her thigh. "i'll cover you if they come film us, okay? get some rest, angel." she nodded lazily, a drunk smile on her face. "thank you, pretty boy."

despite the blaring music, she fell into a state of sleep. the boy could tell when her head suddenly felt a tiny bit heavier on her shoulder and her breathing became a lot more even. he unconsciously smiled.

he kept his word, and as a camera came to film the group's reaction to a performance, he covered her body with his. as the one filming left, he lifted her head back onto her lap. "cutie," he mumbled.

THREE.
↳ inkigayo

as she finally debuted as a soloist, she was constantly performing on her own. she was not used to it all, but she loved it. it felt great, but not as great as it felt with her boys. still, today was yet another day of promotions.

she sang and danced flawlessly to her title track "28 reasons" as always, breathing heavily as she finished. there were a few seconds before she had to leave the stage, which she took to mention her boyfriend, sitting in the audience.

"everyone! do you see s.coups sitting right there? what a good man, supporting me. say thank you to him for me, carats- i mean, luvs!" she laughed at her mixup and at the fact that almost everyone thanked the boy at once.

even from the stage, she could see his ears turn a deep red. she blew a kiss his way, which just made the screams louder. he sent a finger heart back, and then it was her turn to blush.

she frowned as the staff began frantically telling her to just get off the damn stage already. with a pout, she spoke a few final words as she walked towards the stage exit. "luvs and carats~ tell s.coups to meet me backstage alright?~" realizing what she said, she immediately doubled down. "not like that!"

FOUR.
↳ music core

for the group's new song, hot, the couple had a small duo dance part which apparently everyone seemed to enjoy. meiling was happy like that, but still, she wanted to something more flashy. something that'll make headlines.

that wasn't too hard to do, considering she was the only female out of thirteen men, and she was dating the leader. that gave her the perfect idea, "dating the leader."

with her plan in mind, she performed as normally as she could. she couldn't help but giggle a few times in anticipation, but tried her best to be professional. she was going to do something stupid, but it would be fun.

as their part came up, she executed her plan. right before their dance ended and they were supposed to split ways, she quickly reached up and kissed him on the cheek. plan: successful!

the boy staggered a little back to his spot, a dazed smile on his face for the rest of the dance. she couldn't help but giggle as the cheers got louder. she would definitely remember this....

FIVE.

she grooved in her seat to the performance in front of her. she wasn't really paying attention, just doing what she was supposed to: pretend to care. she laughed as dokyeom whispered a joke in her ear.

she reached to take a sip of her wine, and took a gulp with a pinkie up. she goes to take another, but ends up getting dared by wonwoo to chug it. just then, the camera flipped to her.

embarrassed, but determined to complete the dare, she finished the glass and placed it back down on the table like it was a shot. she could only laugh as she heard cheer's get louder.

seungcheol smiled as he watched his girlfriend. despite her embarrassed state, he couldn't help but think she looked pretty as ever. he laughed, and pulled her closer to him by her shoulder.

she giggled, hugging his side in response. she didn't move her arm as she left his embrace, keeping her hand placed on his waist. he smiled. one thing was obvious just by looking at them, they were in love.

𝓿. reality shows

ONE.

as an intermission began, jaejae and meiling began talking. it was the first time they had met, ever. the two other mmtg's she wasn't present, and she was super excited to meet the host of one of the most popular shows.

they were about to start the game of don't lie, and as the two girls, they immediately gravitated to create an alliance. "cheol might try to join us, should we let him?" the chinese warned in advance, and the elder smiled. "i mean, i don't want to if you don't. we gotta stick together, you know?" she agreed to the deal.

which she immediately broke. one look from her boyfriend's puppy eyes had her folding within seconds. she tried to use all her strength, but genuinely couldn't.

"i'm the mafia," she whispered, "don't tell and i'll tell you where the money is." he smiled, "okay." she walked away, putting too much trust into the boy. little did she know, he almost immediately ran to jaejae to reveal meiling's betrayal and role.

as she sat down after the treasure hunt, it felt like two people were glaring at her. she was right, both her boyfriend and the girl she made a deal with stared at her. she knew she was caught. as if on cue, both individuals shouted "it's meiling!"

TWO.
↳ game caterers

random dance, the one thing meiling prided herself on. she got where she was in her career because she knew how to dance, singing was just a side. she loved dancing more than anything in the world ( other than seungcheol 🤭 ), and enjoyed learning new dances whenever she could.

that's why she wasn't nervous when the number of people just kept on dwindling. she didn't expect to win, but was also confident she could get farther than where she was currently.

before she knew it, she was the only seventeen member left. the pressure was on, and with every glance she took at her members, she felt her heart beat faster. she looked to cheol, who smiled encouragingly. she giggled.

she got through a few rounds, but eventually got out during 'asap' by stayc. she knew it, but not well enough to continue. she was happy with where she got, and quickly took a seat next to her beloved boyfriend.

"you did really good," he complimented. "thank you, baobei. it's a shame you got out so early, you knew all the hard ones," she accepted the compliment and comforted at the same time. he could only smile and repeat what he said earlier with a quick forehead peck, "you did good."

THREE.
↳ no prepare

the couple sat side by side across from youngji, politely waiting for the permission to eat. as soon as she got it, meiling reached for a shot. downing it almost immediately, she expectantly looked at the host.

"youngji-ah, wanna take a shot together?" she offered, "unnie, we've only just started..." the younger paused, "of course i wanna take a shot! pass me one, please." the boy could only look at the two in false shock.

the girls interlocked their elbows and took said shots, giggling right after. after a few more minutes of around, youngji finally got back on track and began asking the couple questions.

"do you guys have anything matching? like rings or tattoos?" the two smiled at each other, "i don't think we've ever shown carat these, but we have matching heart tattoos. look!" the two pulled up their shirt sleeves and revealed the cute heart on their wrist.

"wow, it's so cute. you guys makes me feel so single... oh! forgive me for this but i can't help but ask- what do you to the tattoo if you break up? god forbid." the two made eye contact, "it's useless to think about that, we're never going to split."
